Still can’t believe Grevious didn’t kill any Jedi in the Star Wars the Clone Wars - apart from a cheap kill on Nahdar - such wasted potential for an overarching antagonist as cool as him
Unless you count 2003 CW. I definitly do.
Dooku was head and shoulders above the other sets of episodes. His episodes pulled you in; the others were at best mildly entertaining.
Heh, i see what you did there
It was like picking the most boring and pointless points in her life and make a show around them. Besides the destruction of the nightsisters we saw nothing of substance or that explains or connects anything.
Why not show Bailan and how they met? Why not show a vision from the Nightsisters of Peredia? Why not do anything that gives a real and meaningful insights that build up to Ahsoka? This was such a waste.
Tales of the Empire gave us the most well done, most scariest Grevious ever ---'Grevious Naboo
Honestly these felt mostly boring, pointless, poorly written, inherently flawed. The silly motivation, the lack of showing instead of telling, a general lack of believability. A waste
We need more of young Thrawn rising through the ranks of the Empire!
Read the Thrawn 2017 book. It covers all that and is one of the best Star Wars books.
Huh, last time I was this early, Filoni kept characters dead in Star Wars.
Old person alert!
@Shadowpack95 I didn't realize being 22 was old.😑
@@simonyesh how do you think i feel at 29 when i get called old
@Shadowpack95 Sounds like a you problem, gramps. 🤭
@@simonyesh Watch your tone youngun, i can still whack you with my cane
I really hate how they always play the New Republic as a joke.
Tales Arcs ranked:

Favourite episode: Devoted
1. Count Dooku
Favourite episode: The Sith Lord
I still greatly dislike these episodes. If they were going to change it they should’ve changed the canon designer from Thrawn back to Demetrius Zaarin or made it were both were working together on the designs
There was zero reason for them to change his design in the first place, and it looks so weird now.
I think Ahsoka's training episode alone was better than both Barriss and Elsbeth whole arcs. It made Ahsoka's power level more believable.
This show was hardly tales of the Empire. It would have made more sense to see Thrawn’s time in the Empire.
I watch everything with subtitles and it's Bo there. They made a point to put her voice in brackets
For the inaugural "Tales of the Empire," I would have rather seen many other characters in a 6-episode 2-character 15-20 minute animation series than Morgan Elsbeth and Barriss Offee. I would have rather seen Palpatine, Plagueis, Darth Maul, Tarkin, Orson Krennic, Captain Phasma, Moff Gideon, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Admiral Daala, Aurra Sing, Admiral Motti, General Tagge, Dedra Meero, Kino Loy, Major Partagaz, Lieutenant Gorn, Chief Ugnaught, General Veers, Captain Needa, Admiral Piett, Admiral Ozzel, Moff Jerjerrod, Migs Mayfeld, The Client, Tala Durith, Ysanne Isard, The Grand Inquisitor, Darth Traya, Darth Zannah, Darth Talon, Abeloth herself or even that guy in Return of the Jedi who says, "We're not going to attack??" before I saw Morgan Elsbeth in an inaugural "Tales of the Empire" series. As for Barriss Offee, she would seem more suited for a "Tales of the Force Flippers" before she would represent the Empire.. Basically, Disney tries to shoe-in whomever they want for their own purposes rather than do whatever makes sense.
So we’re somehow supposed to care about this character that they’ve already killed off for what? Morgan was never a captivating character just a plot device in my opinion. But this was better than the Barriss story I guess.
I mean, from what I heard... they made it work with Andor. Despite him also being an already dead character nobody cared about. Difference is, he got a whole season of a whole show (so far, at least)... and she got half of a mini-series. Also, the quality difference, apparently lol.
@@Paradox-es3bl good point. Andor is among the same tier of characters as her, you could say. I don’t know. I just feel like the whole show was a nothing burger. Like why even make it?
Rhuk is the bullied heavy now. How the mighty fall.
Morgan's first episode was the best just seeing her early life and how the nightsister slaughter scarred her for life and made her into the woman she was in the Mandoverse.
Overall these episodes were immensely dull.
From the language of the show the people of the town and Elsbeth already had a tense relationship. Like she was the one working them hard and making these promises of wealth, only for them to see no fruit of this labor whilst she suffered no consequences.
Pretty good summation on modern star wars. It looks great but unoriginal and predictable. There has to be a better use for this great animation right?

I think that thrawn explained the threat to the Galaxy as the rebellion. People in power who gain their position by means of force and ambition and not the will of the people will always perceive freedom as the enemy since freedom brings prosperity for everyone and erases their foundation of power which allows them to pick and choose those who will prosper and benefit based on their support and loyalty.
Autocrats and aristocrats always view themselves as inherently better than those they rule over. The power dynamic they enjoy allows them to project that belief both inward and outward. They believe they have a mandate to provide order and "peace." An absence of their authority would result in chaos, destruction and death.
Their absence would simply result in a power vacuum which would be filled by an inferior autocrat who lacks their vision, brilliance and capability. Or worse yet, a collective movement by the common people of the Galaxy to unite in purpose of mutual prosperity and liberty... Which is absurd, like rats agreeing to do what is best for everything in the landfill
I can agree with the ratings. I really liked the Morgan stories and Baris story I thought they could have been done better and pacing would have been nice. I loved the Dooku as well and made sense.
Gerald Grevious
I enjoyed all the stories, but especially Ahsoka and Barriss.
I agree with that list
I enjoyed all of the stories, though being shorts hurt them a bit. But, such is life.
I don’t think Morgan’s dead ….
Not gonna lie I cancelled my D+ subscription after TBB ended because I totally forgot about this show. Seeing how mediocre Tales of the Jedi was I don't think I'll bother following this as it releases, unless I hear good things about it
It’s basically 2 - 45min episodes, one focused on Morgan, and one focused on Bariss. I couldn’t in good conscience recommend resubscribing for it.
Does it say in subtitles that’s it’s Bo-Katan? I just thought it was Ahsoka since she shows up there in Mando and she’s in contact with the New Republic.
Same.
It's her. It's Bo.
I like hearing ppl talk about Star Wars but as far as Morgan and Barris’arcs go I’m not rlly impressed or intrigued by anything just entertained i guess.
General grievous was mf sick in that scene
Can we all agree that palpatine was the dumbest idiot ever for choosing to kill Plageuis and trade one of the greatest sith of all time for a rabid attack dog? Palpatine’s plans are extremely complicated sure, but they culminate in him ruling the galaxy for only 20 years, and then being killed by the most obvious person possible (in sith culture at least).
3:26 I actually disagree with this take. From the positioning of the characters, look at Morgan's posture. She has her back to the head man, hands behind her back in what business people call the 'dominator' position. She doesn't view him as an equal, or even deserving of her full attention. He's beneath her, and she puts him back in his place. They were never her people, she was using them.
It was boring, but I didn't die of cringe like Bariss episodes
The Vader cameo was the best part of those, and he didn’t even do anything so that’s saying something.
@@jacobbecklehimer7781 Vader didn't get any great dialogue like "Let them die" 😂
The first episode was amazing but the other episodes were just ok
I really liked the Barriss Offee story. I liked that it showed, just like if you channel too much Dark side energy it disfigures you. Channeling too much Light side energy makes you age like a mofo.
Absolutely no one wanted this, the most boring character ever… and now that she’s dead… it makes it even worse
To me the last episodes of both Bariss's and Morgan's stories were the weakest and most disjoint. Both stories started strong, had a strong middle chapter, then just faded out at the end.
Total snooze fest 😴
Yeah, those townspeople were A-holes!
It's amazing how many people watch star wars shows despite thinking they're all shite, goingby the majority of the comments thus far. Perhaps it's like fiddling with a sore tooth. Perhaps it's time to do something else that's more satisfying. Although, I guess having a solid whine is satisfying in itself.
These episodes were painfully boring. To be honest I wanted a tales of the sith not this.
Literally none of the emotional depth they attribute to the show was present.
They always do this for every show. None of these shows are as exciting as they claim.
How they claim to like Andor and find these shows as anything above mediocre filler is beyond me.
Star Wars sucks
