As a huge BN fan, it's wild I never got any sort of PET til now, but this video convinced me to order a Progress of my own. It's even coming with a Guardian chip in the set, which is also a personal favorite of mine from the games.

This case is very cool! I got one with my second Progress, now I have two ProtoMan PETs just because I wanted the case lol.
It's a shame that these devices are so expensive right now, the Progress PET is probably one of the best LCD toys I've ever seen, besides looking very cool too. My only criticism of it would be the batteries, losing your progress when you need to swap the batteries suck, I managed to get to level 65 before I lost everything and then I ended up not playing it very much anymore.
Regarding the other PETs, the Link PET is also very cool, but the Progress still beats it. I have one PET from every generation, but I never managed to actually play with my Plug-In PET because it didn't came with any chips lol, but from what I've seen online I'm not missing much, it still looks amazing as a prop.
Loving the MegaMan content, btw! As I said on the last video, there's weirdly very little content online about these PETs, so it's hard for newcomers to even understand how they work, so it's nice to have some videos talking about them.
I agree! The progress is probably my favorite overall PET and LCD toy but the lack of a save state makes it really annoying to try to complete or come back too. The link is fun too but the fact that they still kind of lock you to playing as megaman again and the lack of a proper vs mechanic kinda sucks lol I'm glad you're enjoying the vids! I'm really happy to be finally making content on these!

@@Xanaxdu it's been so long I can't remember. It was either already in a house we moved into or given to me from a relative because they found it somewhere else. It's a 5cp meteor shower looking thing with the numbers 165 on it from 2004

I agree that the PET based on the PSP is my favorite. However how do you feel about the ones in Battle Network 6, and what would you say to a PET in the form of a Nintendo Switch, DS or 3ds?

@@Xanaxdu me too. I wasn't able to get one back in the day cause $30 in my mom's eyes was a bit pricy and I couldn't find a job, I dunno no one was hiring. Or they just didn't want me. Anyway now they're still to pricey at 100+
Would you happen to know if this PET lets you perform Program Advances? I think I remember the Advanced PET being able to do PA's.
I think only the Plug-In PET can do PA but I am not 100%
I see alot of the Korean versions of this on ebay. Is there any difference other than language to the device? Like do I need korean battle chips for it to work or can we use english or japanese chips on it?
So the Korean version is just in Korean instead of Japanese. The English, Japanese and Korean chips all work on the device tho so if it's a good price you should get it!

anyone have a mod to keep this staying charge, or recharging the batteries when low ?
So if you put the device in sleep mode (holding the B button until the screen turns off) and then replace the batteries from top to bottom one by one it won't reset the device
