  • Removing and cleaning the throttle body on a 2004 to 2007 Volkswagen Golf Mark 5 with the 1.4L petrol engine.     Hey, stupid question, can you use WD-40 / some de-greasers i find at the local store... Do you recommend any brand?

      I would only recommend a proper carb/egr cleaner for this job.

    Hello.. Do I have to recoding the throttle Body after refitting by the computer?

      @@screwsnutsandbolts from the outside a bit but when took out woooo inside was dirty ,, the screws are a bit not to be trusted

      @@screwsnutsandbolts your very welcome! Channel is awesome. Could I just check that u don’t need to remove negative battery terminal, or both battery terminals (positive and negative) prior to removal. I don’t have VAG software, and I’m pretty sure your supposed to need to do a throttle body alignment after this, otherwise you get a check engine light no? Any help appreciated!

      I'm not sure if the Tsi throttle body is the exact same but it's probably quite similar
