q's for debrief in the replies of this comment please!
For the Debrief:
Hey guys! I was wondering if you guys could test out the spirit box and/or the ovilus during the debrief to see what kind of responses you get in a place that isn’t considered haunted.
Also, can you guys pronounce Saskatchewan?
Sending good vibes from rural Saskatchewan 🇨🇦
#ghostfilesdebrief
Question for debrief: For Ryan and the team, in the entire time you've been investigating, have you ever experienced anything following you home and do you guys have any special rituals that you do after a shoot is done to help "protect" you and your team?
Loved this series! Words can't express how grateful me, and I'm sure the whole community is, that you guys got back into the ghoul hunting. I'm looking forward to what the future holds for the ghoul bois!
what would you guys want to look like if you were ghosts? i know ryan wants to be a friendly one, but i'd love to hear shane's ideas lmao
so far, what’s the scariest thing you guys have heard/seen?
Hiya ghoul boys! How do the ghosts know how to use the ovulus? Because the description of it is that certain frequencies/temps correlate to certain words right? Wouldn't they have to memorize every single words' associated conditions to be able to use it? Ik Shane's answer is just that it's inherently BS but I'm curious what Ryan thinks.
That figure in the closet appearing as soon as Shane yelled, "SHOW US YOUR BODY!" is proof of him being a demon. The entity was too scared to refuse his command.
True it be like got to what higher being says-
LMAO
everything in this episode confirmed that he is a demon. Even the mag light turning on when he was going to touch it.
I'm so glad this theory still is going on Ryan and Shane's new channel/series :]

Ryan put the screws to them on this one.
Getting mad they won’t prove Shane wrong 😂

if the floor of the basement is natural limestone, it's incredibly likely that there is simply some kind of water leak below the stone. limestone is very porous and malleable & so it soaks water into it very easily. it's actually very common in a lot of older houses, what shane likely touched that smelled funky was just mold growing on the surface of the water-soaked limestone. mold is spookier than ghosts
It’s almost certainly limestone because of the house’s proximity to nearby limestone mines. I’ve been in them. They are wet. And they smell funky. Can confirm.
natural gas can come up and cause hallucinations and other problems through the limestone

If the mom was experiencing sleep paralysis she very well could have a sleep disorder, and since they’re genetic her daughter probably did too. Hearing that her daughter started sleepwalking pretty much confirmed it.
This! I had a couple of instances of sleep paralysis in my teens, and didn't think anything of it. When my daughter was 4, she developed night terrors. Never connected the two and have since had some pretty intense sleep paralysis episodes as an adult, usually when I'm too tired, as well as my partner telling me I have night terrors. No matter how much sleep I got either, I am constantly exhausted so I finally had a sleep study done. Turns out I have obstructive sleep apnea and the night terrors were my body's way of making sure I didn't die. I'm also not getting into the restorative sleep cycle at all so that's why I'm always tired. And it turns out that my sleeping disorder is not just more common in women but is also genetic. If a mother has it, there's a 70% that either her mother, sister, daughter or aunt will also have it. My ex is trying to find a pediatric sleep doctor for my daughter to see.
Yeah, but why would the dad see it too then and they all see the same figure?

having followed this story a bit, it seems to have been a rooming/boarding house or halfway house for awhile. Isn't it likely that the "human size cages" were storage areas where residents could lock stuff up when not in use. I lived for about 20 years in an older apartment complex, (tiny units) with wood and chicken wire "storage lockers" in the basement for the residents. in the basement. (I kept stuff like my bike, furniture I wasn't using, and my laundry supplies in mine.)
Now that you mention it, one place I lived had the same thing. That’s a good theory.
I have a suggestion, you should have 2 spirit boxes with 2 headphones, one for Ryan and one for Shane, then have both Ryan and Shane use them at the same time and see if the words match up.
That is a perfect setup. We run a similar design for some of our investigations. But it all depends on how big the location is; we like to plan based on the size of the haunted location.

@@itgirl1111 yeah but quite a few people would and maybe would even travel just to stay in a haunted place. it's good for business to find a niche and make yourself stick out on the airbnb market lol
It's exactly what it looks like. I think they fixed it up (Golden Hammer Award), and either couldn't flip it or it wasn't renting like they expected. Made up the rest. At least places like Winchester House are old and have a story.
I’m still obsessed with how they made Ryan’s R smaller than Shane’s S @5:30
i love the idea that ghosts aren't active because of shane being rude or they know he's a demon and are scared shitless
That wet spot in the basement is:
A.) a moisture problem that can lead to structural damage if not addressed
B.) a hole filled with dead hobos that was hastily and poorly cemented over and will never cure
C.) a 100% wet ghost
D) All of the Above
A wet Ghost, huh?
I was looking at that wet spot like yup there's totally bodies under that. Someone needs to open that up.
Wet ghost? 😳
A moisture problem that is caused by dead hobos that was hastily and poorly cemented over and is now a 100% wet ghost.
Shane and Ryan should wear heart monitors during solo investigations! I want to see if Shane ever gets nervous!
We been saying this for five years they aint never gonna do it 💀
THIS! lol
They talked about it in their live show. They couldn’t get it to work this season but they are gonna try again for next season
Yeah but their BPM could raise just what walking around too much (like up and down stairs) and also from acting out (like how Shane just suddenly yells). It could get pretty hard trying to discern what’s genuine fear/discomfort and what’s just the two being out of shape idiots (as we all are).
I don't really see the need. Shanes heart rate spiking doesn't really show or prove anything. Even if he did get nervous, it's pretty natural for people to be more wary in the dark, and also could just as easily be from any other thing. Like shit, I get heart rate spikes when sitting in my chair lol. And Shane's already admitted multiple times he does sometimes feel spooked in some of the areas, because they're isolated and dark, and there's the natural fear of the unknown.
42:05 God everything from here to when they move on from the wet spot kills me. Ryan's joy of encountering a "sopping wet ghoul" is what made me need to time stamp that part.
Later on Yelp:
"Great house to haunt, the humans were rude as hell tho"
Garrett: I like to be nice to the ghosts you guys should be nice and respectful
Shane and Ryan: We are!
Also Ryan: Listen up ass lips
I really thought Shane was gonna lose it when Ryan said “ass lips” I know I did 😭😂
I could watch him harass ghosts all day long, good cop bad cop energy
Next season I’d love to see you bring a dog with you to see how they react to the locations, lots of believers talk about dogs refusing to go into “haunted” rooms. And for shaniacs it’d be fun for you to have your own scooby doo
Votee
yeees
Hey @watcher see thisss
But what if the dog shits on some historic couch or something
RUH ROH RYAN
I love how as soon as Ryan gets popcorn he becomes fearless.
I'm from Missouri and I'm so happy to see my home state being visited by this legendary duo
Ryan and Shane should play Phasmophobia for sure! They liked the intimate little setting of the house so much.
Yes!! Just watched simply and Ben play this on live stream the other day! I think they’ll totally love it
Dude!! I was literally thinking the same exact thing! Maybe because the season of ghost files is over, between the seasons they can play Phasmophobia!
I’ve been begging for this for MONTHS!! PLEASSEEE Shane & Ryan play phasmo!!
With Rhett and Link!
demons must love ryan because he’s always afraid and so he’s vulnerable, and they must absolutely hate shane because of the fact he just harasses them and taunts them without a single bit of fear on his face 💀💀
😂😂😂
Yes Shane bully's them lol
Um yall do know they don't believe in any of this and mock the idea the entire time right? You must be new to these two.
@@MrAnderson5157 you must be new to harmless jokes.
@@critter5349 heh?
I get so much serotonin from watching Ryan & Shane enjoying their popcorn.
Hilarious! "Alright listten up, Asslips" just hilarious! Could you guys please make an episode of like 5 days stay or 10 days or maybe a whole series. That would be so much fun!
Raw, uncut solo investigations would be amazing to see. Just Ryan and Shane yelling at a empty house for 20 minutes would be great
I agree!
Agreed! I watch these while I draw, so that would be an excellent background
That should be low tier patreon content!
Shane yelling to ghosts is funny lol
20 minutes of raw? the edited version is an hour.. lol i know what you mean just givin you a hard 😁😁
Ryan: Chief Puddle, that's the coolest ghost name I've ever heard!
Nighttime Dan: 👁👄👁
I was just thinking that 😂
Nighttime Dan will still be my fav
@@totallynotazombz your username is amazing 😭
No one steals Nighttime Dan's title!
best comment lmao
Still think that that first conversation was pretty damn compelling lol lots of responses fit so it really sounded like a conversation. Second best Estes method session after the one where Shane fist fought a ghost
You two have me laughing as I lay here in bed with my face smashed into my pillow… I can’t sleep and I have one eye opened to watch bc you guys are hilarious. You remind me of a few guy friends I used to hang out with in my 20’s. So glad i somehow found you.
"Tell you what. I'm dead" had me cracking up. Shane may prefer being the instrument but I think we get the best Estes sessions when he's the one talking to the ghost.
Yeah, Shane is commited to making it funny and cohesive.
can't believe this is the finale already! congrats to the whole watcher team for such an all-around amazing season. the production levels are off the charts!!
Oh it's the finale already? Man that's sad
WHAT NOOO I REALLY LOVED THIS
@@Lenicool dw season 2 is coming in 2023
I do love how much Ryan trusts the Ovilus which basically just says "oh damn the temperature dropped 1 degree, that means "poverty""
" ok and why are you grunting like tim alan?" "I want to" 😂😂
Ryan taking an investigation less serious than Shane is not something I expected.
Gotta admit that it's kinda boring now. The show always worked because one was scared/serious and the other wasn't. Now it's just two bored dudes walking through a house.
@@pulpficti I see what you’re saying but personally, I disagree, the show still works because Shane and Ryan have such good chemistry and can work off of each other to make any situation flow with comedy.
@@pulpficti i think ryan wasn’t as scared cause they’re in a fully furnished family house with electricity lmao- it has popcorn and a foosball table dawg it’s not exactly the spookiest location they’ve ever visited.
Shane encouraging the spirits to toy with Ryan in a verbally chaotic manner whilst the REM Pod goes absolutely nuts at his words was the most metal and kick ass thing
It seems likely this started with a child and her mother both having some sort of sleep disorder or some legitimately unsettling experiences in a new space.
And then developed into a family creating more and more stories about the house to drum up Airbnb interest or however they are marketing it.
Since they renovated (and put the renovation up for an award-you have to submit for that golden hammer thing) and very likely bought the house via a tax incentive program in the area to revitalize rundown or unlivable properties it’s possible they were planning to flip the house or use it as a rental from the beginning.
Of course, it’s also possible the stress of moving and living through her parents doing a major renovation was unsettling for the little girl and that triggered her nightmares and night terrors.
21:43 watch Shane when it appears on command. For someone who doesn't believe, he sure jumped and recoiled pretty hard.
As a person who is generally on Shane's side in the whole "are ghosts real" thing, I'll give Ryan this: That dog is very much scared of something.
It’s a still photo lol
my dog is scared of socks lmao it means nothing
@@drunkkillerwhalesdriving You make a compelling point actually
@@drunkkillerwhalesdrivingyour socks might be haunted
My dog is scared of a lot of things and it’s not always apparent why. She’s very sensitive and sometimes just decides “I don’t want to go that way” on a walk and acts freaked out and won’t move. That could be easily misinterpreted as omg, she’s seeing something we can’t see!
I love how they go from talking about a little girl possibly being possessed in a room to admiring the sliding barn door and linens. This show is my antidepressant at this point.
Very Crate and Barrel😆
If so not good coz we will have to wait minimum a year for next season xd
Just imagine Shane & Ryan in their 80s doing this same thing, same personalities 😂😂😂
