Question for debrief:
Does your cameraman ever get spooked by the camera? Does it ever malfunction, go out of focus, focus on weird spaces? I feel like i notice it sometimes in your vids and especially this one. Good episode boys!
you guys are awesome, thanks for the video!
I want to know what the boys think of the New watcher series ! Also have an interview with the person who does the captions !!!
What does that one ghost have against Selena Gomez??
How do ghosts know which radio waves they need to make so they are then interpreted as words? Cause we just kinda decided on what meant hello and what meant nerd. So how do ghosts know?
Edit: also, why switch channels at all? What's the difference between one to another frequency if a ghost appearently can communicate across all radio waves. Seams to me you just want to get words by coincidence which you then interpretate
Every episode when Ryan explains how Shane is probably doing something stupid and then it cuts to him doing said stupid thing never gets old
That is always my fave part of the episodes! Shane is an absolute delight 🤣

It's also great when Shane does it about Ryan, usually while Ryan is panicking or scared out of his mind.
The moment the Ovilus responded with "slain" and subsequently "nod" to confirm if someone died in the room and even Shane himself was like "nope, I'm out" - I fuckin' died.
That was a truly great moment 🤣

Along with that is their friendship. Started with tense awkwardness that could easily produce a heated debate between a skeptic and a believer to slapping-Shane-in-the-butt-and-asking-ghosts-to-hurt-them kind of closeness.

I think it's kind of interesting that the light responded to the name Selena, which is a typically Hispanic name, and one of the things Shane heard/said was "por favor." The general store was bilingual, so perhaps they encountered a Spanish-speaking ghost?
I often wonder about that, I assume ghosts only speak/understand the language they did when they died. Would be cool if they could learn after death though
Maybe that also makes sense why he was hearing such scattered English words. The ghost may have realized they were speaking English and was throwing out the few words they knew , that’s also why it may have said Por favor. They was saying “please” as in “please understand me”
and the house is surrounded by Mexican and Hispanic culture. If you have ever been there you’ll definitely see that. Not a believer but that’s cool.

Violet giving the boys the silent treatment so hard that her silence is louder than the spirit box.
Yeah like, Imagine you're willing to talk to the strange people in your house, and the first thing they say is "how did you die lmao"
I thought i heard a wailing cry.
There is a common superstition within the theatre that every theatre building houses a ghost. It is tradition to always leave one light on in the theatre, called a "ghostlight", that gives the ghost an oppertunity to perform when the living people leave.
That's actually super sweet. I love that
From what i’ve heard, the ghostlight is moreso metaphorical than a literal light for ghosts. It’s to represent the fact that the theatre is always alive, so the ghostlight is to keep the stage alive with light (if there’s more than one stage there is usually more than one light, as in one per stage)
honestly, i always wondered why its called a ghostlight. thats a fun explanation honestly
in Violet's bedroom, at 36:13, when Ryan intoduces himself you can hear it very clearly that Violet says "Ryan"
That's what I hears
Ryan did couples therapy for 2 ghosts, a ghost called them nerds, a ghost picked a fight with Shane, lost, and was never heard from again, a ghost fused into a coworker’s body, another ghost wanted to be inside a coworker, this one ghost was jacking it right there for all of us to see…
The ghosts are going fuck wild this season

the most terrifying part about this episode is the possibility of jury duty in the afterlife

In violet’s room, after the spirit box turned off, the “shut up” seemed to be the beginning of a violent confrontation between a man and a woman. You can then hear the woman crying out loudly, as if being hit. And then you can hear a quiet sob. Heartbreaking

I put it in for debrief questions. There are so many comments there, I doubt they’ll see it lol
For #debrief
I would suggest that in future episodes, instead of just taking photos for the guest's re-enactment, maybe Shane and Ryan should take more photos of their own to aid their investigation. Like going around in each room and keep randomly snapping shots around the room. Who knows if they capture an apparition photo of their own?
Need to reply to their pinned comment for debrief questions
I mean, they are constantly snapping millions of photos (as that's what video is).
I also really like it when investigators actually see if they can replicate the photo with different angles, flash or no flash, different poses (kind of what Shane was doing actually). I think it adds to the authenticity-or lack there of.
Hard to see but to the right shoulder of Ryan. There looks to a be full body apparition. You can see it next to the drawer, its quite tall. You make out a head, shirt and pants. 49:30 (Better visibility on a bigger screen and on HD)
@@lauranight4572 I guess we need to try to snapping many pictures when they're doing solo investigation. Idk, I just feel 'they' will be annoyed with all those flashes
Love how Ryan’s equipment are toys according to a man that has a puppet show 😂
26:57 even Shane was like "yep, someone's here. I'm done let's go." xD
The fact that Ryan is able to consistently predict exactly what Shayne does when he's alone is amazing
Shayne
Didn’t know Ryan knew me like that

Ryan describing Shane’s new look as “Steve Jobs meets Lucius Malfoy” has me dead 🤣🤣🤣 Somebody send Shane some ice 💀
Does anyone else ever wonder if the people who own these buildings have rejected the boy's request to coming back? Solely on the basis that the boys riled up the ghosts too much and they don't want it to happen again
No way lmao. Places like this make a fucking fortune luring gullible people from all over the country, world even, and a popular internet show visiting to make a video will do nothing but increase ticket sales ect. There's nothing to rile up. Its an empty house.
want to preserve a historic landmark? say it's haunted and let ghost hunters rent the building on a nightly basis.
these property owners know exactly what they're doing.
At this point, Ryan’s psychotic laugh scares me more than the ghosts
The fact that this is almost 1 hour and the last Whaley house episode was 15 minutes, already makes ghost files better than buzzfeed unsolved 😁
my only complaint is I wish they kept the same style intro and outro. The outro music was fire and the classic are ghosts real head shake by Shane will always be missed
@@SilverThroned they likely don't want to or can't use the unsolved intro and outro because buzzfeed would try to pull some legal bullshit with copyright claims and stuff. It's better to do something new to not only indicate this series will be different, but also so they don't need to deal with buzzfeed being assholes.
@@SilverThroned the outro music sort of pavlov-ed me into a sense of calmness whenever i heard it so i do miss it, but taking into consideration that when they talk of the old show they say "unsolved" without the buzzfeed in it and they also haven't played any old clips despite referencing them, i think they're trying to be careful with legal stuff
how is the cameraman not freaking out he’s always far from the group and has his back turned to the darkness
Probably doesn't believe in ghosts OR some cameramen get so focused on capturing a good shot they can ignore their own safety (to varying degrees)
I think about this every episode! I don't believe, but I still wouldnt be able to do it.
mark is just so chill (and doesn't believe in ghosts, he's said)
He's also probably not always alone since they have a whole crew with them
The camera man always survives
I think its important to remember that a lot of these old homes had leaky gas pipes and likely suffered auditory and visual hallucinations
whenever i watch Shane's solo investigations i always laugh, but when it gets to Ryan's i always get scared 😄😄
Shane’s reaction to ryan’s ‘can you come up here i don’t want to investigate by myself’ is what i strive for in friendships
That’s a good friend
I’m just impressed with Shane being able to recite that much of Hamlet’s speech
he was definitely reading that lmao
Oh he was absolutely reading it off of his phone, he was looking down the whole time
At one point you can see him raise his arm like he’s looking at his phone while reading it. Most definitely not recited
He reminded me a little of the Dalek from doctor who 2005
shush everyone i choose to believe he simply knew it
It might seem a little silly but the amount of respect Ryan & Shane have for the ghosts is admirable and really sweet to see.
I love when Ryan picks up the rem pod, because it literally sounds like the pod is screaming
Did not ever expect a piece of evidence to be of Yankee Jim yanking his jim but it’s perfectly in line with this particular series
I was gonna say (if there were another section of stick on that figure) he’s just showboating at this point 😂🎉
I don’t know if I’ve seen Shane get out of a room quicker than when the spirit said “NOD”…… He may have actually been spooked at that one! Haha
That part was creepy but Shane tends to seem like he wants to keep the show moving. You can tell he gets antsy standing around and waiting for evidence to occur. Plus, he said that the crew was tired. I think he probably figured that that was enough evidence for that room and was ready to move one. It was definitely super creepy tho, and I think the most cohesive conversation the ovilus has offered. Gave me chills.
that was SO GOOD !!
Idk if some of y'all are just bad at listening or what but do you remember when Shane said he tries to play along with Ryan during the investigations because he didn't want to ruin the spook for Ryan? Did you not hear the part where he said "while we're alone I can level with ya" and "everyone just wants to go home" ? Like pepper pointed out he was clearly getting bored lmao jesus Christ I'm not sure if people are really gullible, bad at listening, or just kinda dim at this point
@@rs-mt6kl weirdly hostile response man.. it's all in good fun
@@rs-mt6kl why are you so angry??
Since Shane doesn't seem to change his voice when he's the professor in Puppet History all I can picture is Ryan and the professor hunting ghosts and that just makes this series all the more fun for me lol
The ghost choosing the word nod after Ryan pointing out where the child passed gave me chills
I love how Shane said “snake tester”, a weird but mostly innocuous phrase, and Ryan immediately interpreted that as the ghost declaring that he had sex with a snake
@@OpalBLeigh nah I usually pickle them
The way the Honey box just slowly became quiet was honestly really cool, but also so spooky.
Violet probably just got hurt by Shane's tone , we all know he isn't a ladies man and the fact she can't be with our himbo looking Ryan.
Tbh I don't know sh*t about how ghosts work, but I was getting the vibe that she really was trying to talk there and couldn't figure out how to do it? Idk
@@notmidgehadley4279 Yeah it got quiet in the way that it does when it's picking up words. It also seemed like Shane and Ryan kept talking over when it was trying to speak which would explain the "Shut Up". Thought I heard a very sad "Just Go" at the end there too, which is heartwrenching with how chipper the "Hi" was (assuming we're taking this at face value)
Begging you fellas to investigate Shortgrass Playhouse in Hobart, Oklahoma. One of the most haunted locations in the state, in a historic building, a straightforward story behind the hauntings- etc.
An abandoned morgue lies downstairs and an actor died on premises. I volunteered in the theatre in highschool and had countless experiences with my classmates. I really think Ryan would "love" Charlie, the ghost of the actor who died. His portrait mural still sits visible in the green room, somehow still clear enough to recognize even behind probably hundreds of layers of paint. They just can't cover him up, nobody knows why. The piano plays itself, doors lock on their own on occasion, things fall from the rafters, cold spots and touches occur as well
Ooooooooh
I just visited the Whaley House yesterday and had to come rewatch this episode after! Definitely felt something incredibly strange and off-putting the entire upstairs, had a couple spooky encounters myself! It is a beautiful home and museum and I would encourage anyone interested to go do a guided tour!!
Has anyone noticed that Ryan is wearing an Egyptian cartouche necklace? It’s supposed to protect the wearer from harm. I think it’s a really neat detail
omg yes ♡
im pretty sure his spouse is egyptian, it's probably from her :)!
Ryan acting like the Joker in his solo investigations because he's scared is soo relatable lol
Also, Shane starting to look like a Targaryen.
Don't give shane the idea he will b wanting his own dragon next
He looks weird to me blond
Lol or a Lannister 😅
@@lindadenneypu6315 who WOULDN'T want a dragon tho?
@@lindadenneypu6315 Don't be silly. Shane doesn't believe in dragons, but he WILL help Ryan look for one and be equal parts supportive and abusive while doing so.
I just watched Shane and Ryan imitate various instruments in an attempt to lure a ghost to them and that's not even the craziest thing that's happened in this series
