5:43 It sounded like a man saying “At ease”. Which means to stand in a relaxed stance with the feet apart and the hands behind the back. It’s almost as if the voice is telling Ryan and Shane that it knows they’re not the enemy.
I guess it does, but a lot of things they attribute to words don't even sound like words without the subtitles, almost as if they're bullshitting it. That one does sound very close to 'at ease' though

My dad used to work on a navy vessel and he told me a story about how he saw service-men on the ship, that just stood their, but then when he looked at the papers of the people serving on the vessel--- said service-men had been killed, or hadn't ever been stationed there.
My great grandfather served on that ship... he always used to tell me that you can still hear the voices in hallways...

You know my grandfather was a commander officer on that ship. Please respect it. He died 2 days ago to kidney failure and heart disease.
I spent a few nights on that boat before (like several years ago), and I remember the sinks in the bathrooms near the sleeping areas constantly turning on/off by themselves, as well as something constantly bumping the bottom of my bunk bed (no one else was sleeping near me). It def was creepy haha

The USS Lexington actually has a similar ghost story about how sinks turn on by themselves when you only turn one on but it's due to the way the valves work I believe cause some friends and I tested it when we stayed overnight and we would consistently get at least 1 other Faucet to turn on when we turned 1 on. Though the USS Lexington also has a story about all the shower heads exploding at once

I would argue that Ryan is trying to be sensible. If EVERYTHING were a ghost to him, nothing could be taken seriously. But if he can say "no, that legitimately was just the wind" then when he says "guys, I heard a voice!" it's more believable.
Shane I think is entertained by it all, so he'll play along with "ooh, was THAT a ghost maybe?" LOL

I love when Shane is perplexed by what ryan finds worthy of being scared of. With the “high pitched tone” he looks so interested in the answer when he asks “why aren’t you more intrigued by that??”

That ship was a wonderful experience to be upon, I actually got to sleep on it and the respect and emotion I felt on there was indescribable
I love how Shane and Ryan are constantly foils of each other. When Ryan hears a noise Shane is quick to pass it off as the wind or something but when Ryan passes off the creaking to boat noises Shane humors him and says it could be something more
