When using photos as reference, keep in mind that you can change, move or delete any elements you want in order to create a better painting! The job of any artist is to interpret the photo, not to just copy it.
Let Don Andrews demonstrate for you how to make a plan to create your own paintings in watercolor by ARRANGING the elements in your photos.
For all skill levels!

Thank you for the courage and inspiration to "go for it"
and if you don't like it just "wipe it off" so love it.❤🎉
Hi Barbara,,,thank you for your comment, yes, painting must be fun as well as serious! Friend Don
The best art teacher ever.
I'm sorry to the students who left such wonderful comments when we first uploaded the longer version of this video. Martha and I ended up shortening the video and then replaced the first one with this 2nd version. However, we lost all those comments that you made. It wasn't RUclips that deleted them, but we weren't sure how to get them back! :(
You are a great teacher and your channel is wonderful ✨😊
Thank you so much for your kind comments!

Hi Don 😊!!
I have a question about the last painting, the river and mountains landscape. Do yo work it wet on wet or dry on wet, please? Thank you and blessings. I like your style very much.
Hi Cristina,,, I generally begin my paintings wet on wet, then rewet some areas as needed after that, but each painting is a little different, Hope this helps! Friend Don
New subscriber ❤
Thanks for subbing!
It really looks to me all wet on dry, is this right?😊
Hi again Cristina,,,, it just depends, for instance the trees on the near left are painted on dry paper, the water just below the trees on the left, I prewet before painting,,,Hope this helps! Friend Don
