Useful explanation that people can understand and use. I especially like your out of focus emphasis for soft edges. Nice work!

@DonAndrewsAWS Hey Don,
Going good. Working through the exercises in Winning Ways book and really focusing on patterns. I would love to plug Designing Nature online somehow for you ( let me know). Looking forward VERY MUCH to the subscription program. I know you've been busy with it, so I didn’t want to bug you. Hope you guys are getting some relief from the heat! Go Utes!
Hey again Thom,,,, you can't go wrong working through, "The Winning Ways of Watercolor", easily one of the best wc books ever written! You're also right to focus on patterns, I always quote Milford Zornes, to make your painting readable ,place a ( value) pattern of lighter,next to a (value) pattern of darker, next to a(value) pattern of lighter,etc....yes Martha and I are busy working on the coming subscription but never too busy for you! So don't be a stranger! I see your Utes are favored over the Gators but I read your quarterback is injured and a( we'll see )at game time but you're playing in Salt Lake, always a big advantage! We play Middle Tennessee on Sept 2 as a warm up for Texas Sept 9,they gave us fits last year but we play in Tuscaloosa this year! College football is the best! No relief from the heat we've been we'll over 100 for over a month or more ,,,,my garden is a lovely shade of Raw Sienna! Stay in touch.....Friend Don
What brand paint do you use? It looks wonderful.😊
Hi Crissy,,,,,thank you,,,,I use American Journey paint from Cheap Joe's Art Stuff, great paint ,reasonably priced! Friend Don
Do you wet the back of the paper, or did you reset between layers?
*rewet, not reset
Hi Zenfulpainter,,, I re-wet between value changes,,,,thanks for being with us! Friend Don
