Was Night of the Demons the one with Dana Andrews? I remember watching that with my father in the early 70s on TV, and neither of us could follow the 'plot'. Edit: My bad, that was '"Curse of the Demon".
1957's Curse of the Demon is actually pretty good IMO. 'Cult' and 'Bad' aren't always the same thing after all. I actually do hope you get to that one fairly soon. What do you think about 2009's Drag Me To Hell being a semi-remake of it?
My favorite part in the movie is when the brother jumps out the window because he sees all of the zombies. The fact that he actually survives at the end of the movie is too sweet

Hey Brandon, I *LOVED* this movie when I was in the states, it's got all the hallmarks of a classic slasher/horror, and the twist ending with the black guy actually surviving always made me smile. Although the climbing over barbed wire scene still makes me wince.
The first time I saw this, I had been flipping through late night cable, and landed on it a minute before the lipstick disappearing trick. That got my attention, that and the fact that yes, I recognized Linnea, even though I didn't know what the movie was, and the tv guide had a different movie listed at that time.
Angela's dance to 'Stigmata Martyr' played a large part in my sexual awakening, and so i shall always think fondly of this small slice of cinematic joy.
I liked her dance and look in this one,but prefered the music in for her table dance in the sequel (Morbid Angel's rapture and Vengeance is Mine edited together for some reason )
I've always wondered how Stooge got into the passenger seat to moon the old fart when, mere seconds before, he was driving the car? Continuity is hard.

It's the character Kenny from the Gamera films ("Gamera is friend to children!"), which sorta became a shorthand for the stock character of the annoying little kid in kaiju films, which then expanded to annoying kids in general.

I remember watching it on RUclips at my second house I searched for the dvd for a long while It's not meant to be high art maybe that's why it made a decent profit but ultimately got negative reviews when it first came out Linnea Quigley was a big 1980s horror star being in this and Return of the Living Dead, she also married one of the practical effects people Amelia Kinkade who plays the villainous Angela, her aunt was actually one of the Golden Girls Rue McClanahan The movie was almost called Halloween Party until Carpenter's producers of the 1978 movie threatened litigation The characters are 80s cliches as you'd expect and some of the acting is stiff but there's fantastic gore and makeup effects for those patient enough to get to the good stuff And that rocking soundtrack matches the tone The synthesizer score by Michael Dennis Tenney adds to the spookiness too Some nice camerawork that resembles Sam Raimi Plus there's no hint of racism as typical horror movies go Thanks to home video sales the movie found a much bigger audience Campy, cheesy, with a side of comedy and punk rock gothic ness and this actually gave me a nightmare I guess that proves the movie is doing its job, after all it later spawned 2 sequels even a remake

Great video. It is amazing that a person of color survives to the end! Besides that, this is the only horror movie I've seen where the character considered Cowardly( In my opinion wise) survives. It's also one of the only movies I've ever seen where the final girl survives with a male who isn't a love interest. For all these reasons and the spectacular eighties-ness of it all I'd suggest it to horror fans.

I'm not sure it's campy so much as just bad. Camp usually implies some level of self-awareness. I don't think this movie has any. That does contribute to the "what the hell were they thinking?" charm, though.
The black dude is such a sympathetic character too bc he's just like a good dude. Upon a first watch I was thinking "oh, I hope he lives, he's so nice!" and this has some of my favorite b-movie moments. It's one of the ICONIC 80s fun flicks alongside RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD that's just fun af, not super dark or heavy.

Did anyone else notice that the whooshing noises are the TP sounds from Second Life? Or very similar. I think there's another sound in the movie that is a lot like one of the magic noises for Morrowind too

Dude. You make some of the best videos. I grew up watching Night of the Demons. As a child i was terrified of this movie. Now it's a joke lol. I absolutely love this film. I have to watch about 4 of your videos a day. Great job bro. Keep up the great work. Subscriber for life here.

Watched this movie on HBO. It only came on during the weekend, and usually after tales from the crypt.
Ah, this is turning out to be a good day. Night of the Demons is one of my favorite old school horror movies. I miss Linea Quigley's acting.
