  • Good day, everyone!
    This video covers the items I purchased online from a vendor on Rakuten called KYS (Kanamono Ya San). Despite their presence on Rakuten Japan for 17 years, as of January 2020, it looks like their storefront on the Global Rakuten site isn't quite ready yet. I apologize for the let down.
    This is the direct link to their Japanese Rakuten page: www.rakuten.co...
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Featured tools in the video:
    Victor (from their "Plus +" series) high-leverage diagonal cutting pliers: ZS80-200
    Asahi 6-piece precision hex key set: MELS610
    Eight 7-piece precision hex key set: M-7M
    S-Road precision telescopic magnetic pick-up tool: SRO-15
    Ko-ken impact rated Torx bits: 107.11-T55 and 107.11-T60
    PB Swiss cross-handle drivers: 207-3-60, 207-25-60, 207-2-60

      Haha! I just tried to fill an obvious void that was present in the RUclips tool community.

    Long reach triple square are hard to find...And if you work on VW, Audi, Porsche etc..You will need them in both male and female. As they love them fasteners....

      The VW group definitely goes heavy with that stuff for sure. BMW only uses a couple sizes so I never felt the need to buy a full set in all three drive sizes.

    Those Koken are nice! It’s very hard trying to find large Torx with a 3/8” drive! A nice way to make a custom set!

    日本の工具を世界中の多くの人達に紹介してくれてありがとうございます!他にもHEX wrenchでは旭金属工業のDaxkey シリーズが両端を交互に使えるユニークな製品がありますよ。また、ミトロイ(MITOLOY)も歴史が長い面白いメーカーです。また、他の日本のメーカーの製品も紹介してくださいね。

    Did you get the PBSwiss hex drivers at Rakuten? I have not seen those before. Thank you.

    • @bzeug
      @bzeug 4 года назад +1

      Figured it out. I called Count On Tools and they explained that PB 207 in sizes 2, 2.5 and 3mm have the handle you are showing and the same PB 207 in sizes larger than 3mm have a different handle. So you have the only three sizes of those hex keys that PB Swiss makes.

      @@bzeug thanks for noting that. That makes sense why I only had those three sizes in my shopping cart for some time.

    can most japanese people read english? I always am so curious at how few japanese markings are on the tools.

    • @chriscas-ToolAficionado
      @chriscas-ToolAficionado  4 года назад

      Good question. The younger generation are definitely better with English. As for markings on tools, I think a majority of European tool brands are stamped in English as well. I've seen some post-war Japanese tools that were marked in Japanese characters, but I believe that changed rather quickly to 100% English.

      @@chriscas-ToolAficionado so im assuming at this point these manufactures are doing it for marketing to appeal to as many markets as possible. just got my 1/4 nepros rathet the other day and wow. blows my snap on ratchet out of the water. Koken zeal 3/8 flex is coming next!

    • @chriscas-ToolAficionado
      @chriscas-ToolAficionado  4 года назад

      @@pinkley22 yeah, I'd say English has increasingly become a gold-standard.
      Nice! I think you'll feel a different 'vibe' between Nepros and Zeal ratchets. I would be interested to hear your opinion. Have a good day.
