  • First time in Japan since November 2019!
I present to you my entire tool haul from this trip, which comprised of both online and in-store purchases.
A special thanks goes to Mr. Takahashi, the store manager, at the Factory Gear store in Tennoz Isle, Tokyo, and to Mr. Takanokura, the director of FG, for taking their time to meet with me. I'm looking forward to going back again soon!

Very interesting selections. I really appreciate the travel tips too. I must go shopping in Japan someday. I must check my cat's claw to see if I can find that logo on it. I much appreciate all your knowledge of the manufacturers. So Wiha markets some items by KoKen, so interesting. Fun stuff. Thank you.

I and I think a lot of your viewers would like to know how to order tools from Japan. If you could devote a video, or portion of a video explaining how to purchase tools from Japan, I think it would be well received.

Hi ChrisCas ! Looks like you and I were there almost around the same time. I met with Takahashi San, however Takanokura San had just recently returned from a European trip. He wasn't at the Tennoz Isle store when I went there. Well I'm sure next year when I return ! I had the pleasure of shopping at the Hakata, Namba, & Tennoz Isle FG stores, along with a host of other places across Japan.

Just a heads up, if you want the 'plastic' razor blades you can get them from Lee Valley Tools, in at least two levels of hardness. Probably cheaper than importing...

The hose cutter looks almost identical (but a better quality moulding) to one I bought for cutting hydraulic brake hose on bikes. As random as it might be I'd be very interested to know more!
