- Typically I go to Japan this time of the year, but yet again, it's not happening. To keep with the tradition though, I decided to shop online on Rakuten and utilize their shipping service to get me some new Japanese tools! Thanks Doug. I did a quick look, but I couldn't find much. Hasco is a specialty tool manufacturer (they import as well) and they have model TB-5681, but no good photos of it. There's this one from RunMax: www.kinokuni-e.com/productdetails/120/9/6/1/1
All the others I've found are the imported generic ones.
Great haul. I'd love to know more about the OH Industrial tools and Eight Tool Co. tools. I couldnt remember those brands from your previous videos so I went searching for their websites. I've never noticed their products in tool stores in Japan (eg. Factory Gear or Tokyu Hands). Their stuff looks great but is quite unfamiliar to me.
I've only seen a small sample of OH hammers at some Home Centers in Japan. The only place I saw Eight tools was at WIT (World Import Tools).
Maybe you can get your hands on the Tone rma400l set, I Don't think it's made by Cabo for them like every other brands version of these wrenches but maybe you can confirm this
There's literally a handful of ratcheting wrench manufacturers in Taiwan, but I can't point my finger to any single one for that particular ratcheting head design.

@@andrewscott8892 No they don't. As a matter of fact all high-tooth count, forged ratcheting wrenches are all imported from Taiwan, regardless of brand: KTC, Tone, TOP, Supertool, SEK, etc.
The EIGHT company seems pretty cool! I am looking for a fractional set for building kit robots (I have one on deck with over 3,000 hex fasteners to run in. Either screwdriver, T-handle, or flag with their taper end. Any suggestions on sourcing them (7/32 I believe is the size) ?

I'm not affiliated, nor have I shopped from them, but over on Ebay, there's a store called 'Ninja Tools Japan'. They are based in Japan, and likely can source any tool you want. They communicate in English as well. I have no first hand experience, but I've read good things (I follow them on Instagram).
If you don't see what you want, just inquire. Tell them the other ChrisCas sent you there 😄😉

Hi Henry. Yes, it is possible to shop on Rakuten and they ship to many places around the world. I would assume that includes the UK. I posted this comment in another video, which should be useful for you:
If you have the patience and feel adventurous enough, you can still shop through the full Japanese domestic Rakuten Ichiba ('Ichiba' means 'marketplace').

I watched one of your videos on made in Japan nail care products (and the scissors for your mother in law). Would you recommend any other brands? Like some of these Japanese brands have got English sites, making it easier to find their products. However, there are also a great number that just don't do any English sites. Everything is in Japanese. Like Fan out for example. Ended up on their site by accident (luckily). Brands I managed to find: Seki, Fan Out, Maruto, The cheaper Seki version (waza something), Feather, Suwada.

They don't have an English site / this link is to their nail care products and I've applied a filter (priced from high to low). Note that there's 4 pages worth of products. Around the third page, some stuff is made in China or Vietnam.

Right, those two are the other major manufacturers that I'm aware of. There could be more, but I'm not certain. There could be some rebranding/PB labeling going on as well.

I can't say I've used every single tool I've bought, but I *generally* buy tools with the intention of using it, rather than creating a collection.
Was it wilde or western forge? that was using that design I'm guessing maybe western forge? Great haul as always some extra unique and great items!!

never used Rakuten, where do you find the Japanese tools?
Like Amazon Japan, the best way to find a specific tool is entering the brand name and part number. In terms of ease of shopping, unless you have a basic grasp of the Japanese language, I would stick to Amazon Japan. However you could use Google translate to navigate your way through the e-transaction and communication. It's not impossible; just takes a bit of your time and patience.
I assume most of the tools I showed in this video, if not all, can be found on Amazon Japan.
Alternatively, there's an Ebay store called NinjaTools. They are based in Japan, and can source near any tool. I've never shopped from them, but I know many others have. They can communicate in English. Might be worth a look as well.
