Cant believe this only has a couple thousand views, this review has the best sample photos and video out of all the reviews I've watched on this lens. My 50mm 1.2 is currently out for delivery so I rewatched this review to calm my impatience lol
Have to agree with you about Fuji cameras, In fact I still am very much enjoying my Fuji X-T3, turn out I just reviewed the 7Artisans 35mm 0.95 today on my tiny channel and super digging its affordable price but yet superb and almost flawless build quality 👍😊
TT Artisan has made a nice trio of lenses, the 50/1.2, 35/1.4, & 17/1.4 all for APS-C cameras. Like the 50/1.2 you have, the 35 & 17 are excellent performing lenses at affordable prices.
Hey Zach, I just picked this lens up to test it against the KamLan 50mm f1.1 Mk II. If you've never tried the KamLan, you should pick one up. It might make you put the TTArtisans down. LOL Great video.
Great video, Think I'll have to look for your channel more often. I use a crappy 1.8/50ll on my Canon 5dsr and never had any issues. I also use L lenses and Nikon ED and hardly can see a difference. Maybe I need glasses. To me it's more important what I shoot than if it's ultimately/insanely sharp.
Also , I'm sure you have plenty of ideas for future videos but I'll love it if you make a video on Film Simulations for video (esp. Eterna ) and also using Fujifilm Film Recipes in VIDEO ( for photos there are plenty of videos out there). I'm subscribed to both of your channels so you can release it in any channel xD
No offence to anyone who likes this lens and Zach I love you but I'll rather go for XC 35 f2 ($200) with AF, excellent optics, native fuji coatings and color rendition as this TTartisans lens is not that usable at widest aperture anyways. Cheers !
I don’t have this lens, so I have no skin in the game. But Zach clearly shows it to be usable wide open and half the price. The XC 35 is obviously the clear optical winner + AF, but is a 50mm equivalent, which is not what he, or others are looking for when mounting a 50mm aps-c lens. Although, he mentions all of these points in the video.. for those looking for a short tele/long normal, XC 35 won’t do it.

Great insightful review man! May I know your video settings?
Dude looks nuts
Love the look and style of your images - both photo AND video. - You guys have mad skills :)
Any ideas how to achieve these photo colours? (eg: 1m34s) Is it post processing? Would love a tutorial :)
Great video! I was considering getting another lens for my x-s10. Also thanks for bringing the dang fujijuice hats back
I'm buying this. Thanks, brother.

Nice review! I also have the same lens on my sony. Do you use lightroom or capture one for the raws of xt4?
