Their music is not amazing imo. It's borderline unlistenable. The hype around them and bands like Yard Act are unjustified, imo.

unjustified? absolutely not. you can not like something but still recognise why others do. all this tells me is that you don’t understand what the band are trying to do and aren’t willing to try, and that’s sadder than anything else.

They aren't similar sounding but two others I love are the one in 'Memory' by preoccupations and the 'nothing ever happens' deerhunter one 👌 (I won't even start on Animal Collective transitions, or gizz)
Gorgeous; been listening to Squid for years and hellbent on seeing them live someday--what synchronicity and passion. Please tour US. Oh...so I can dance...

I felt that rawness there too, that's what it's all about
the drummer looks exactly as sweaty as id expect after playing Narrator
I cant decide which ending of Narrator I like more; the KEXP version with the triangle, or the Glastonbury version with the bongos
