Personally, my only problem with him was being stupid enough to try and attack her while Kratos was standing right there. If he still harbored a grudge, he could have easily waited until Kratos was out of reach and earshot before finishing her off.
No, a lot of gods were being unreasonable in this situation (especially Odin, who started this whole mess in his efforts to avert Ragnarok), but Freya needs to bear the lion's share of responsibility for Baldur's mess.
I'd imagine he didn't care about the outcome. he wanted to die. going by what he was trying to achieve attacking his mom around kratos was exactly what he wanted to do. leaving her to be an enemy of the only person who could kill him. that's an epic revenge move
edit: there were god's that could kill him but they weren't tied into his plot. he probably knows kratos can kill her so what better plan than to make them enemies as his final move
Looking forward to seeing what Santa Monica do with the Freya (aka the former Queen of the Valkyries who tricked the other 9) fight
Hardest boss is obviously the drowning puzzle.
DayBreaker on some real bro. I went up until that point dying maybe 2 times. But at that puzzle I died like 5 times before I figured it out.
My first (and as of now only) playthrough, I only died to it once, but when I realized/felt I wasn't going to succeed in time, I stopped trying and just studied it until I died and was able to try again. Even when you know what to do, it takes just long enough for a single mistake to bring it down to the wire

gonna have to disagree with the placement of 7 and 8. That dark elf kicked my ass more times than I could count and Thors kids went down during my 3rd attempt.

I found it funny at first, and then I realized that most of the times he uses it, he refers to things that aren't even American or African, so now it's just kind of a lame staple joke of Albino's routine.

Ehhh, gonna have to disagree. I found the dark elf king to be much more annoying and more difficult to fight than Magni and Modi, they weren't really that hard in my opinion

I can Tell that in god of war mode the dark Elf is harder because his fight have no Checkpoints. If Magni and Modi had no Checkpoint between their phases they would be Impossible in god of war mode!

Balder personally was a hard fight for me in the beginning of the game. I finished it in one try with 1 hp left. Which made the fight more meaningful and memorable to me. One of my favorite boss fights of all time.
Gotta love that he says Baldur looks like a Marijuana enforcer, considering that the actor who voiced Baldur played a Marijuana dealer/enforcer in the show "Justified" (character name Dickie Bennett)

if you're like me and do all the side stuff before the main storyline like each time the water drops at lake of nine you'll be really overpowered for the fights in the main story. I killed the double trolls so fast on the 2nd hardest difficulty I completely forgot about them...
I want to see you do destiny 2 bosses and destiny 2 in general
For the ashes and frost giant, i used an light runic move and it one shotted the ash one. Was prett weird
Wow this is one of my favourite DeModcracy videos so far.
The dual trolls and magni and modi were killable on medium difficulty by button mashing while rolling, they were very easy
so the magni and modi boss fight with no HUD is fun..... NOT. No prompt as to the direction of attack during the foggy section. Still doable though

I played through again with a runic based build, high cooldown and a talisman that refills my runic attacks. It made that normal mode a bit too easy.
That combo alone is how I was able to beat Sigrun, no other build worked for me
I forgot for half of the game i was playing in hard mode till i got to the Valkyrie she absolutely pummeled me but i still beat her in the end 😎
I think the elf king is the most annoying because he's always running around blinding you, but I only died to the soul eater because I was dumb. Once you grasp the controls and what you're supposed to do against each enemy, every boss is a piece of cake, especially if you do all the valkyries plus sigrun before fihting Baldur. Bosses are the one thing that could improve next time, but I don't really mind. Also Atreus can be devastating if powered up, those revenants can't stand a candle to light arrows.

Taking a jackhammer to your square button almost killed me
So I found every single one of the bosses to be relatively easy with the exception of the twin troll things.... I died like 40 times on them but the rest I think the most I died was like 5 and that was on the elf

My first play through was on give me god of war, and I hated every second of it. I nearly gave up at Tyr’s temple the first time around. Right after I completed the story I went to do a new game (not plus) on normal mode and I felt like an actual deity. Not many people know this, but when you do a new game on GMGOW, enemies don’t get hitstun from light attacks, and if they power up, they receive hitstun from only runic attacks. When I did my first light on a Draugr in normal, I felt infinitely more powerful.
Baldur is like a nerfed version of thunderblight ganon
I beat the Dark Elf King by staying and pushing him into the smaller rooms on the sides, he struggles with flying and kinda stays in one spot lunging. MUCH EASIER
This game was actually incredible and I loved it, looking back though the bosses on offer are pretty lacking. I know God of War can do hella good bosses there should’ve been more variety and less trolls

For me Daudi gave me so much trouble that I put this game on hold. (I just didn't like the game enough to accept hardship 😁)

The issue with this game isn’t so much the bosses, it’s that the bosses become regular enemies you fight multiple times, so it makes the bosses not seem as cool

Try these bosses on gmgow+. You'll re-rank alot of them. Balder is definitely one of the hardest bosses. For the list you're using, Balder is definitely the hardest

Honestly, aside form the Valkyries, no boss was truly HARD to beat, some like Gullveig, the Trolls and Grendels were laughably easy but they were honestly really enjoyable, my favourite was Magni and Modi
Go play gmgow+ and then come tell us how laughably easy they were.

Idk how this works for normal mode. But in give me god of war difficulty i think the dragon is the easiest and the dark elf is the hardest. I find Final fight much harder than sons of thor tbh. Sons of thor just need a little bit of thinking since they regenerate health if not both of them knocked out at the same time. The first one you marked as the easiest is the most annoying after the 2 dark elves together.
When he said that fighting every boss at 1 hp is what give me god of war was like i instantly agreed also elf king was the hardest boss fight in the game i uninstalled the game twice due to him

I thought all the bosses except for the Valkryes and Baldur sucked honestly. This game truly disappointed me on it’s lack of variety in enemies.
If you think about it. Give me god of war game mode makes sense to be the hardest. You are proving that you endured some of the most cruel fights and still came out on top. But I also see that being a god of war should make it easy because you are a god that can destroy anyone in front of them.
Gosh revenants are so annoying, I'm so glad they nerfed them in ragnarok. They don't run away nearly as much as God of war 2018

You can't kill a Grendel bro one at a time on god of war. You have to gradually get down both their health at the same time because one heals if you don't keep attacking the other

Man, the bosses were rally lackluster, especially Baldur. They did him really bad, the entire game smothers you with Lore about Odin and Thor and the impact they have on the world and it barely mentions Baldur. The only impact I got from killing him was that he was Freiya's mother, not because he was this amazing God who I had managed to overcome. Hated the fact that his final boss fight was just him using a different colour instead making new moves. Really felt like he was never meant to be the final boss with how little effort they put into him.
Are so true. It didnt even feel like a last boss fight. When i hit the end credits i was like wait he was the last boss? i thought it had more to come.

Yes, it's a nitpick, because I liked this bossfight and this guy didn't.
I agree with how basic he was but the overall story wasn’t meant to make you feel like you’re overcoming a god or gods like the previous games. This one is solely based on Kratos learning to be a father and bring his son up in the world where he may be hunted his entire life by other gods. He has to teach his son to be a god as well through his failures. Now obviously I wanted better boss fights because most were just repetitive but I understand why it happened

I dunno...in the grand scheme of things, Baldur was a bit of a bitch. But I still can't get over his opening fight with the big fella, Kratos.
Some of the little combos in the cutscenes and the moment you find out all that brutality isn't even phasing him got me amped for fighting him with a full skill set.
Then you find out that Kratos with some of his powers returned can just mop the floor with Baldur and that his ultimate motivation ended up being a narrative device to introduce an extended conflict with the Norse Gods.
They set him up well, but didn't capitalize on the chance to build him meaningfully in any way. This, in my playthrough at least, made him seem like a periodic annoyance rather than a meaningful threat as an antagonist.
