If you then hit the second one, the third one spawns. If you make sure you're only damaging one gargoyle at a time, the fight is only a 2-vs-1, and much more manageable. Royal Rat Authority is actually easier if you try to stay under its lower half and then hit its legs whenever it does an attack. It can't really hit you there and you can safely do this forever until it dies
The rotten was one of my toughest fights in the game, however, the guy with the mirror was never a problem, first try and he was down. I guess difficulty depends on your build and your personal skills
I love your commetary in this video particularly, it makes me laugh everytime lol I also like that you do a better guide in this video than whole walkthrough series lmao
@Luis Martinez OOOOOOOOOH. You’ve obviously never played monster hunter before lmao. The monsters that are boring die super quickly and the ones that last forever are hair raising every second of the way. I’ve fought a boss where I didn’t relax for forty five minutes straight. It’s tough, and it tests your endurance and patience.
Monster hunter has long boss fight? -laughs in final fantasy- also monster hunter boss fights or only as long as you will let it be there just akward when you have to chase them across the map lol
@@songbird6414 Well, ya see, the thing with Monster Hunter hunts is that they're 20 - 45 minutes long, but they're SUPER interesting... ...but the final boss of Persona 3 is 2 hours of doing the same thing over and over again.
For me, currently after Velstad and with first 2 crowns finished. Hardest bosses: 1. Sentinel Trio 2. Sir Alonne 3. A few bosses that took 7 tries each for whatever reason: Old Iron King, Demon in Black Gultch, Velstad I'll probably re-adjust the list after finishing the game and I'll probably re-adjust it again for NG+.
''Nothing they do is particularly dangerous, but if you get hit by small things with a previously drained Estus flask you might find yourself at 1 hp either finishing them off or getting ready to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour'' My god my life is complete. That sentence was flawless..
For the most part I do agree with your placements, though there are a few I'd switch. Gods know I had absolutely no trouble with the mirror knight or the ancient dragon, but the Smelter Demon tore me in half for an infuriating hour and a half before I just said fuck it and pulled an NPC summon. I'll never know how strong Alonne, the Fume Knight, the tigers, the Ivory King, or anything in the Sunken King are because I got to blue smelter and screamed FUCK THAT at the top of my lungs scaring the ever loving hell out of two of my flatmates and as a consequence I will never, ever, under any circumstances, play this game again.
Fun fact: you don't need a shield for Chariot, in fact you don't need to hide in a hole at all. You can just roll through the Chariot's spikes, with good timing and adaptability.
I'm only replying to you because my icon is just yours but slightly more zoomed in and it made me think i'd somehow already commented on a video i was watching for the first time.
yeah and old iron king the easiest? don't think so. if you stand at a stupid position he's gonna penetrate you with fire. so that makes him harder as the last giant for example.
Wow bruh difficulty is subjective right so good for you man let's all give penzig a hand job since this boss that sunburned thought was challenging was easy to penzig. 🤦♂️
Did you fight him solo though because for me he was the hardest in the game. Just to put into perspective how subjective the difficulty of bosses are, I found the ruin sentinels easy and beat them second try yet I found the looking glass knight near impossible and tried about 20 times. I guess it just depends on your play style, I’m melee btw
@@chenugent I am also mele. Primarily using a one hander and a shield. And only play solo. But absolutely; difficulty is for sure subjective. No argument there. As a personal example to go with yours, I found the Sentinels to be really hard - always have. Even after several playthroughs, I tend to need 4-5-6 tries before beating them. The first time I fought them I probably tried more than 10 times.
I found prowling mages and congretion such a weird boss. Is it a boss since it has a boss bar but it drops titanite instead of a soul. Always felt like something was cut out.
Thank you for putting blue smelter demon there! I remember getting crushed by him for waaay longer than I feel comfortable admitting which had me embarrassed considering how easy the red smelter demon was.
lol this was published 3 years ago, and it’s a couple of days I am just being an annoying mirror squire, I had at least 20 encounters. I think it’s the funniest feature the game provides
someone actually thinks the covetous demon isnt the weakest? you literally have to try to lose that fight. also greatly surprised by how high up the list the ruin sentinels are
The Sentinels really gave me trouble as a sorcerer. They were right at the point of the game where I started to get better at dodging and leveling my character and 3 bosses at once (I kept falling off the ledge) was too much for me. Took me at least 5 attempts.
nah the biggest troll in souls history for me wasnt the blue smelter demon, it was that bullshit move by kalameet in the ds1 dlc, the attack looked a lot like the one where he sits up and sprays the fire at you but instead i found out what the red eye was for
My top 5, after like 10 playthroughs 5: ruin sentinels. How the FUCK do you do this solo? Especially if you go in early? 4: fume knight. Hard to dodge in the first phase, two shots you in the second phase 3: ancient dragon. Aren't one shots fun? 2: burned ivory king. The knights before him drain so much estus. 1: Elana. She's hard on her own, then velstadt decides that he wants to help out. Edit: I have not fought lud and zallen, since I do not see it as fun to attempt. Edit 2: have fought lud and zallen. My ranking hasn't changed.
Sorry but how exactly is the rotten easier than the dragon slayer? The slayer is one of the first bosses in the game and I thought the rotten was quite difficult he killed me like atleast 4 times
Rotten can be pretty fucking annoying with the tricks he pulls. Dragonslayer is kinda predictable at the end of the day. A 100% physical shield absolutely neuters any attack that ain't the ass crash.
Friendly tip to any facing the Executioner Chariot: you can dodge through his wheel spikes (so, as long as your against either wall). Makes the fight way less painful/tedious.

Getting both of your guys insight on what bosses each of you feel is easy/harder is interesting. I feel your commentary is better because i find you a lot more witty. One thing that demodcracy has over your ranking list is that he delves into the lore in better detail.
Henoc Barrera Does any one legitimately care about the lore
The Rooster yes
@@Nobody-pq6bw I care alot
@@blunderless no it doesn't
@@Nobody-pq6bw not really, just the atmosphere and gameplay
Royal Rat Authority is actually easier if you try to stay under its lower half and then hit its legs whenever it does an attack. It can't really hit you there and you can safely do this forever until it dies
2:02 im black and i actually found this joke funny
shit caught me off guard tbh
Commentary was outstanding
Hey man, actually hilarious. I was laughing my ass off while still enjoying and learning with the video. Subscribed!
I haven't seen sarcasm so scathing in a long, long time. if ever. have yourself a sub, good sir.
"These hex girls will put a spell on you" Ohhh, I see what you did there.
The rotten was one of my toughest fights in the game, however, the guy with the mirror was never a problem, first try and he was down. I guess difficulty depends on your build and your personal skills
Easiest boss is congregation and skeleton lords on account of the yearn - flame swathe combo making those fights trivial.
TheRagnus with congregation you can use dark fog and make them die in seconds such a joke
You have earned my admiration sir, and after only two videos. Well done and thank you!
Raime and Sir Alonne are the best characters and best boss battles in Dark Souls 2
I love your commetary in this video particularly, it makes me laugh everytime lol
I also like that you do a better guide in this video than whole walkthrough series lmao
6:57 wait a minute, WAIT A GODDAMN MINUTE he has a onion knight helmet (the rotten)
No shot he predicted fire giant with last giant
I love it when people complain about “long” boss fights when they’re like ten or fifteen minutes long.
*laughs in Monster Hunter”
@Luis Martinez OOOOOOOOOH.
@@zeelyweely1590 yeah fair enough. I’ve never played the game so I can’t say I’m familiar with it but that sounds terrible.
Yeah, mh fights take like 30 minutes
Man you are so consistent. I’m going through these ranking videos and they’re all absolute bangers
Lol your commentary is amazing haha never laughed so hard in my life
Just earned a sub
If you thought one dragonrider was hard you'll probably never make it to this fight. Best line on youtube
For me, currently after Velstad and with first 2 crowns finished. Hardest bosses:
1. Sentinel Trio
2. Sir Alonne
3. A few bosses that took 7 tries each for whatever reason: Old Iron King, Demon in Black Gultch, Velstad
I'll probably re-adjust the list after finishing the game and I'll probably re-adjust it again for NG+.
“You know that feeling when you throw your head on the ground and it explodes, then you dive back on top of it. Yeah high school was fun”
''Nothing they do is particularly dangerous, but if you get hit by small things with a previously drained Estus flask you might find yourself at 1 hp either finishing them off or getting ready to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour'' My god my life is complete. That sentence was flawless..
Advice about Giant ripping off its leg did aged well 😂
"Gank squad is their official name now" 😂
what you mean? it was always their name
We've ALL spent time in the Old Iron King's hole
I got invaded in Dark Souls 1 in 2017 more than once.
You can just roll through the Chariot's spikes, with good timing and adaptability.
nicosonico94 Or, if you prepared specifically for this, you can time Flame Swathes just right and kill him easily.
nicosonico94 sorceres are op too
nicosonico94 you Can hide in the First wall hole and shot Jim frontal this posicion Ita pretty good.
in Dark Souls 2 the path to the boss is more difficult than the boss itself
Holy crap you sound just like Bo Burnham. And your humor style is very similar.
Maybe he is Bo burnham...
Holy crap he does. Similar delivery
best commentary in a DS Boss Ranking!! love ur commentary!!
*Mirror Knight that high? Wow, dood!*
"That didn't hit me!"
if he summons a really skilled pvp player, he can be a lot tougher.
I'm only replying to you because my icon is just yours but slightly more zoomed in and it made me think i'd somehow already commented on a video i was watching for the first time.
Huh
yeah and old iron king the easiest? don't think so. if you stand at a stupid position he's gonna penetrate you with fire. so that makes him harder as the last giant for example.
you have some of the best commentary i've heard on youtube god damn you're so entertaining
Never died to looking glass knight. He's on my top 5 easiest bosses.
Penzig fighting him with a twinblade made me wanna die since you’ll end up hitting his shield more than him
Wow bruh difficulty is subjective right so good for you man let's all give penzig a hand job since this boss that sunburned thought was challenging was easy to penzig. 🤦♂️
@@jimmyreyz4363 This entire video is someone's subjective opinions on bosses difficulty. Why are you so butthurt that I shared one of mine?
I just beat every single boss in Dark Souls 2, and let me tell you, the Frigid Outskirts will forever traumatize me til the day I die
Just beat him Tn hardest boss I’ve fought out of all of dark souls 1 and dark souls 2 so far
"If you thought one Dragonrider was hard, you'll probably never get to this boss"
LMAO
You are a big reason I got in to dark souls. My greatest gratitude, Albinizzle.
2:00
Welcome to the boss that put Dylann Roof in jail
That killed me 🤣🤣
This was one of the funniest commentaries to such a normal video thank you for this sir.
lol this was published 3 years ago, and it’s a couple of days I am just being an annoying mirror squire, I had at least 20 encounters. I think it’s the funniest feature the game provides
14:46 WTF why had i so many problems with this boss o.O ruclips.net/video/1mZU6HenKyc/видео.htmlm40s
Who else used the black knight halberd and great sword In there playthrough
I love how the hardest bosses I can beat mostly in 1 to 2 tries but the easy ones absolutely annihilate me
someone actually thinks the covetous demon isnt the weakest? you literally have to try to lose that fight.
also greatly surprised by how high up the list the ruin sentinels are
Rezuvious fuck the ruin sentials
The Sentinels really gave me trouble as a sorcerer. They were right at the point of the game where I started to get better at dodging and leveling my character and 3 bosses at once (I kept falling off the ledge) was too much for me. Took me at least 5 attempts.
I'll have u know that this filthy casul (me) died from covetous demon from his fat rolls ;).
they are really hard if you face them early
It's funny that you talk like this isn't a completely subjective experience.
came here for my yearly 21:10 moment
Darklurker is easy if you use Rebel greatshield infused with dark. 100% dark resist.
Whoa you predicted Fire Giant 4 years ahead of the release of Elden Ring
im so bad at smelter demon, he is easily the hardest boss for me.
He was one of them for me too. That damn fire.
The move that always got me was when he stabs the ground and does that fire impulse thing. Takes getting used to to avoid it.
"All the fire defense in the world will not help you survive an inferno from this boss"
Should have tried the Gyrm Greatshield +10
Elementary amputees??? Sweet mother of god I was dying 😂
"Call yourself a Mirror Knight, you pretentious tinfucker," - goddammit, I lost it XD
I fucking lost my mind on the Iron King wtf...died like 10 times
Mr D was it cuz of the lava pool?
Mr D Lava is the hardest boss in Dark Souls 2
the lava pit is the real boss
fuck that lava man
Mr D hes easy its just that his arena is bullshit
Nothing like wiping out the entire congregation with one well time running spin-to-win
Lololol a fucking Scooby Doo on Zombie Island reference?? Holy shit thats incredible.
TTD1313 witch's ghost not zombie island
You are correct. Lol
nah the biggest troll in souls history for me wasnt the blue smelter demon, it was that bullshit move by kalameet in the ds1 dlc, the attack looked a lot like the one where he sits up and sprays the fire at you but instead i found out what the red eye was for
2019 and still got mirror squired.
from someone who is new to dark souls the majority of these bosses are hard af. But you slowly get better
thats true
21:15 thats how i feel in ds3 dlc lmao.
The same guy kept killing me during that fight on ds3 DLC. In fact, he killed me so much, he just stood till and let me kill him eventually
My top 5, after like 10 playthroughs
5: ruin sentinels. How the FUCK do you do this solo? Especially if you go in early?
4: fume knight. Hard to dodge in the first phase, two shots you in the second phase
3: ancient dragon.
The slayer is one of the first bosses in the game and I thought the rotten was quite difficult he killed me like atleast 4 times
his list is bad thats why
rotten is very predictable
Rotten can be pretty fucking annoying with the tricks he pulls.
Dragonslayer is kinda predictable at the end of the day. A 100% physical shield absolutely neuters any attack that ain't the ass crash.
Rotten would be #1 if thise little tiki statues in his arena shot poison just like the ones outside.
Friendly tip to any facing the Executioner Chariot: you can dodge through his wheel spikes (so, as long as your against either wall). Makes the fight way less painful/tedious.
The old dragon slayer ISNT Smough. un sub
Shoot, I took the bait
