Tbh I did not find him that hard at all. It may have been my experience from the rest of the souls borne games, but It is prob because I tend to not struggle with only melee humanoid bosses
Crying Onion I know right and if you disable the heals it’s easier. One thing I really fucking hate about the fume knight is the inconsistency of his two hand flame buff. SERIOUSLY this guy will buff at half health or like no health, the fight I killed him he was probably like 10 or 15% health and then buffed. Now I know why he waited so long to do it and it’s because the subtle buff when he’s dual wielding his swords. if you see him slam his left sword on the ground and it’s slightly on fire he’s buffed a little bit and well he kept doing that so he never did the two handed fire sword which I find way easier since it’s more predictable.
I played through the whole game offline which means that the death counter was only counting my total amount of deaths, it was considerably lower then I had thought it was going to be as I played and beat almost every boss in both main game and all the DLC's as a mostly pure mage, that was until Fume Knight. I encountered this monster as the second last boss in my first play-though, before each boss fight I would go and see how many deaths I had in total, I had done the same thing before walking blindly into the slaughter trap that FK most certainly is. Long story short, I walked in with 43 deaths, then I left that fight with the soul of FK and a total of 229 deaths.
Demons souls: Hope the game doesn't glitch you to death Dark Souls: Hope the camera and clumsy controls dont kill you Dark Souls 2: Hope the ungodly amount of enemies dont kill you Bloodborne: Hope your greediness doesn't kill you Dark Souls 3: Hope you'll only be invaded 99 times today
@@erenbaran8184 The only fact about the soul series is that whatever game you play first will be your hardest and then the follow ups will feel "easy". The concept is the same, yeah darksouls 2 had a bunch of filler bosses and beyond dlc there werent many great challenges , but that stands true for both ds1 and ds3. Infact ds1 had more strafe abusable bosses , wow, how tough.
@@deannoel1247 Did you play ds3? the DLC have the coolest bosses, the normal game is normal and the DLC's are more difficult. is a thing by from software.
This is basically every ranking. In demons souls it was mirdan hammer with adjudicator shield(Heals over time). It’s not even cheese like pursuers + dark bead. It’s just boring ass poke poke poke
"This boss isn't hard! It is incredibly hard to take hits here." *shows clip of killing half the bosses instantly with lightning rapier while simultaneously taking damage multiple times*
me too. the gargoyles were some of the most annoying bosses in the series for me though. hate those asshats. but just wait until you fight the darklurker. That, to me, was probably the hardest boss. I had to throw away all strategy and just run in there with the FUGS and start swinging. that strategy paid off
@@hydestein6959 Magic really does a number on him Especially miracles Had him in my second try in my pure sorcerer buils He does not like soul spears lol
+KRIMZONMEKANISM I dont know why the pontiff has such a reputation for being tough. Both my playthroughs so far I got em on my first 2 tries. I've done a quality and dex build so far, next is mage so that opinion may change on a lot of bosses soon
Imperator Augustus Well, I actually spent a solid hour and a half trying to kill the fucker. The problem? I was using a terrible weapon with which i didn't have good scaling in. xD
Imperator Augustus I hear you! My first playthrough was hard until i learned how to predict the moveset of the witches and knights of the area. Also, you know that crocodile dog that ambushes you on the bridge? First time I tried beating him, I nearly died and just ran towards the other side. Sometime later when you reach the lake with the bonfire on the other side he shows up again and i fight him once more. The fucker made me lose all my estus and left me with 30% health, but right about then I was like: "Time to get gud". In the end I managed to kill him without getting hit while he had still 70/50% health. xD
KRIMZONMEKANISM lol last time i played I passed through that area, I still have trouble dodging that crocodile thing with that spinning bite he does to get you when you are behind him. That hidden area right past pontiff with two of them always gets me
TheSimpleMan op weapons or not the bosses will always punish you, also this is not only his opinion it's about the votes too you know? and he uses a op build so he can get the dlc bosses done, so don't get this comment wrong I'm just saying this so you can understand.
TheSimpleMan That's what I hate about DS2. The only challenge is bad hitboxes. The ability to spam 99 lifegems makes it nearly impossible to die many bosses.
Might be, but for example Sir Alonne has a lag stab. If you're rolling to the left past his stab, the game tps you back into his sword. That I call bs.
I mean black knight weapons make ds1 a joke rapiers make ds2 a joke and sellsword twin blades make ds3 a joke get the op build and the game will always be easy
He's not entirely wrong though. The Fume Knight kept crushing me once he charged up his DarkFlame Sword. Finally on like my 20th time I used an Effigy so I could have my full health bar again, used a Brightbug, and just got in his face and didn't back down. By the time he went to charge his sword I was able to finish him during the charge animation. This won't work with every boss I'm sure (I had to do the opposite with Alonne, staying back from him and just getting a cheeky hit in now and then after his attack would near-miss me), but it definitely works with some of them.
What he meant was, do it on new game +0 at SL 120 with max HP and stack buffs on a +15 lightning rapier causing absurd damage output. Also don't forget the "I DunNoW y Ppl fInd dis HaRd XD" line.
@@FantasticDimensions No, he is entirely wrong though since rushing bosses literally fully goes against DS2's gameplay style and only works when using the op Lightning Rapier
@@Steve-in1sb thats not even true, most bosses in ds2 are begging to be rushed or it is the best playstyle. Most ganks in that game should be rushed imo. The fact of the matter is that ds2 has like 5 hard bosses that will actually be difficult and even those fights should be rushed(outside of the ganks) because most of them have mechanics for waiting to long(blue smelter and fume knight)
I was honestly to scared to take on ANY of the challenge areas in the DLC. Just going into Iron Passage to grab the Bonfire at the start because I thought it might make for a good shortcut on my way to Fume Knight(it wasn’t) gave me the chills!
If he's that high of the level, he should go to NG+ or more... He shouldn;'t still fight NG boss at such a ridiculous level with op build. (Which is nerfed) He need to play SotFS one more time and see the real difficulty.

@@tommygunz1174 it's a good weapon , but honestly it's just way to much of a cheese. Does too much damage too fast and just breaks the game and all the fun.
@@charleywaynehinkle6358 same, but it's fun to use. I use the raw version at 50 strength, it's pretty strong. And it hits the target most of the time, if I stay close enough.
12:43 Ancient Dragon is actually one of the easiest bosses. I remember cheesing him. You just wedge yourself in between his big toe, attack until he lifts his foot, run away, then run right back in between his toes. This locks him in that cycle indefinitely. He may get up to fly once or twice if you're unlucky. One of the easiest kills you can get
Something died inside me while watching this. The dmg of rapier is just surreal. And the way he expects people just to "rush down" certain bosses makes me feel nauseous.
I don't see your point here. This is not a tutorial it is how he plays. Play the game how you want to play. Don't yell at someone for playing their way.
This comment I made like a year ago was a statement. It didn't have a point. Also I never said anything about this being a tutorial. Not sure why you two are defending this giant humble bragger.
Dude I love the rankings and agree with them, but your damage output is absurdly high. You’re way over-leveled for literally every single one of these fights which is why you didn’t die many times to any of them. Watching how much damage you were doing to Fume Knight had me dying. Not trying to chirp ya but you probably should have mentioned it
Actually the mistake is not being overleveled but spending all souls to either vigor and syamina thats why he has such a huge health bar every time he fights a boss and he is not granted death by doing a wrong move on fume knight or another hard boss!
Jason Frey My first time beating Fume Knight was an insane struggle and it got me so much better at Dark Souls as a whole. I did a sliver of health each hit but I was so happy when I finally did it. Then here’s this guy with his infused rapier OP build killing Lud and Zallen first try.
Matthew Joseph He’s overleveled cuz of the Tseldora set you can get at the beginning of the game. If I keep the set on throughout the game I can hit around sl 170-180 going into the dlcs without having grinding at any place before then. Since armor doesn’t really do much in ds2 why wouldn’t you get the passive exp boosting armor?
And he plays on NG. If he goes up to ng+4 and up,even covertus demon can 2-3 hit you. I am sure that if we ranked dark souls bosses on ng+7, Dark souls 2 has the hardest ones. Comming from someone who finished ds2 on ng+7 CoC , this difficulty makes bosses like Artorias and OaS look like normal enemies xD
Love how he says the Ancient Dragon has questionable hit boxes IN SCHOLAR! Scholar fixed this boss it used to be near impossible because the hit boxes were so screwed up in the original game!
Mike Clarke yeah exactly now the boss is easy, but in the original it was completely luck based, because you needed to react faster than the animations happened to show you what he was doing, so you needed to guess what move he was gonna use
@@budemawa411 You really just needed to play very careful and only go in for a certain number of attacks so you could see what he was going to do and start running beforehand. It wasn't really luck based in that sense -- it just had a much smaller tolerance for greedy attacks than most other bosses. Even if you were slow, though, packing fully fire resistant gear you'd only get hit once and get knocked out of the AoE if you ran far enough but not quite all the way.
About the "Duke's Dear Freja" it becomes EXTREMELY easy if you bring a torch in the fight, the spiders are scared by it and they'll never attack you while you fight the boss, you can't 2 hand but that's the only price to pay since parrying her is not suggested...
@@jonathann.5754 You can also summon an NPC to help you, and (aside from him being a rather competent fighter), if you're focusing on Freja, his AI seems to prioritise attacking the spiders to keep them from nomming at you.
If you haven't received a million of these comments already - The "Laggstab" around 1:40 is actually her parrying your attack. If she holds her sword like that and you attack, it's a guaranteed parry which you can't get out of. Meaning it didn't matter at all that you got ported...
+Dovah Haha yeah I've gotten a few. I didn't even know she had a parry stance before the commenters told me that. Even though the animation is reeeally funky, still my fault lol
No problem, I understand your reasoning *cough* DS2 Hitboxes *cough*. Just wanted you to know ^^ She got me w that once and it made me freak out too btw..
I hate this fk so much his moveset has really weird timing and he instantly swings and pretty much slides halfway across the room and into a swing 😂 much harder than fume imo
He keeps saying "lol this boss is easy" I did as much damage as you did two handing a much slower weapon, you deal like 2000 damage in 1 round of hits, no wonder it's fucking easy.
True, yet, he has lost 11 times against fume knight and struggled against most DLC bosses. Those top 7 bosses are clearly harder than the rest, even when overpowered
He started the Nashandra section saying it was footage from his only fight with her after he came to the game late - is wearing the merchant's set and has a buff rapier. So he just googled meta builds for his first playthrough, ugh.
jazzmaster909 it's not a good weapon. It's a ridiculously overpowered weapon that is stupidly fast and does a ludicrous amount of damage. They're not saying he can't use good weapons, they're saying that he can't use OP weapons to RANK THE BOSSES.
"Lud & Zallen, The King's Pets" is the ONLY boss fight in the entire franchise that I still can't beat and I've beat every other boss solo up to NG+7. I genuinely hate that boss fight with a passion
u can summon 2 npcs to fight him. and this boss is made for coop. try it with them maybe. at least with the healer guy, he can be a help. i fought them with 2 friends, was quite hard but still entertaining: At least one more fight not being able to win after first try. and u gotta try hard! too many bosses in the original game were first-try guys ...
I mean , the most death I have for ds2 boss is 8,to smelter demon ... of course after I’ve played DS1 and 3, bloodborne and sekiro so I’m already a soul veteran ... I’ve died by falling in ds2 way more than the amount I die to all bosses combined lol , the controls is just shit it only have 8 direction instead of a 360 degrees
Seems accurate. Most bosses in dark souls 2 I beat first try. My most deaths on a boss was smelter demon at 6 because my build was ineffective so I had to switch weapons. Then a few of the other harder bosses on the list I beat within 2 tries. But dark souls 2 was my last game I played. I played demon, dark souls 1, 3 and bloodborne before dark souls 2. But even those games I didn't die much. Normal enemies in soulsborne games are always the things to make me rage and die.
@@Ldenlord the most death i have against a boss was 6 which was old iron king on ng+. I used a bonfire asctetic. But exept that it was 3 and it was Fume knight. I hate the old iron king but i beat it on my 2nd try on ng++. I GUESS dark souls is just learning your oppenent
Funny story: when first fighting vendrick I ended up thinking I was supposed to consume the 3 giant souls I had. After consulting the wiki and realizing my mistake I had to kill the ancient dragon TWICE giving me enough time to think about how much I hate the run up and hitboxes of this boss.
The run up to and hitboxes of the Ancient Dragon are easily the worst in all the From Software games. I´m so glad he is not required to beat Vendrick or to get all achievements in DS 2.
I thought he was actually one of the easiest bosses in the game, though i kept dying over and over to few bosses like Pursuer. Ancient Dragon's hits are soooo goddamn slow, the frontal breath is almost impossible to get hit with, the only dangerous thing is the flight + fire, but it's easy to predict it and run far enough thanks to a visible start of the animation some time before he takes the flight.
@@Shamanierrro Quite the opposite for me. Pursuer is brutally easy and very predictable, I even manage to kill him the first time near the bonfire almost always. But Ancient Dragon one-shot me sooo many times and the way to the boss area is so goddamn tedious. His huge health pool and huge attacks don´t help either. His attacks might be slow, but when you react just a bit too late, you´re almost always dead.
After struggling with the smelter demon I decided to find flash sweat. Flash sweat with high fire resist armor turns the ancied dragons ohk into a tiny bit of splash damage
its not that i dont like the idea, the astetic of the place is really cool, but those fucking unicorns and the wait time during the snow storms is simply too much, besides the big pile of NOTHING that you have to walk to reach anything...
Tip for smelter demon: listen to his voice, it gives away the timing of his swings. Just dodge during a certain time when he does a normal swipe during his roar and you’ll be good
Pro tip for SotFS players: Freja’s spider minions infinitely respawn, but they fear light. If you bring a torch in your off-hand, the minions will leave you alone, essentially turning the fight into a 1v1. Also, if you end up chopping off Freja’s head, you can knock her head around like a toy after you beat her. It’s nice.
For me, The Dukes Dear Freja was one of the easiest bosses, I was already carrying around a torch exploring the cave leading up to the fight, and when I saw there was spiders in the fight, I just onehanded my sword, used its own hitbox to move me when it turns, and only go infront of it when I can hit it
The problem with this video is that he fights all bosses at like level 182391829301, completely ignoring the actual level and weapons you have when you find those in the game for the first time...
The hardest boss in DS2 for me was the dragonslayer, not because he's the strongest boss in the game, but because I fought it at level 30 with crappy equipment, which is actually the level and equipment you have when you meet him. All the bosses are easy if you fight them overleveled. That's not the point of the game thou. Well, at least not if you play it for the challenge.
the rapier within ds2 is an early game weapon which does insane counter damage and is the only reason it did so much damage and combined wit the leo ring it hits like a truck did new game+ the whole way through with it.
Well, I wen't past the whole game with the Heide Knight Sword I got at like level 10 from the Heide Knight sitting at the base of the tree in Forest of Fallen Giants before even getting to the second bonfire (the one with the witch merchant). My final weapon was that same sword +10
The Smelter Demon is the one and only boss I've ever rage quitted on. I would like to say that DS2 was my first Souls game, I died so many times to the Smelter Demon that I gave up, waited several days, and then beat it first try when I came back.
@@tubeguy4066 Dark Souls players just love gatekeeping don't they, they be like "you didn't beat the game right" like tf you talking about he beat all the bosses who cares lmao
@@ShadowLineGamingPRO the only reason they care and even I was irritated was he’s claiming he hasn’t died much to many of the bosses in the game yet has obviously watched build videos and probably boss tutorials on his first run. If you do this with any dark souls or hard game in general it can make them a cake walk. It obviously required some skill but when I heard about how dumb the rapier and the dual sword were and had runs with them it was stupid easy. I’m sure the game is made much easier by his past experience with souls games but if your gonna tell me that he picked up the 2 of of the best weapons and lit the tower with a torch for Medusa and knows all the other tricks for every boss you out ur mind.
I think the reason she's quite easy is that nothing in the game tell you you can walk to the end-game arena and fight the throne defenders and watcher before even reaching the Dragon Aeries and getting the "memory key" from the ancient dragon that is needed to access the macguffin that is needed to light the fire, so gameplay-wise, I think she was intended, on first playthrough, to surprise you by initiating fight immediately after you beat the throne watcher and defender.
Seriously, what's the point of talking about bosses' quality and dificulty if you go heavily overleveled with the cheapest, most broken cheesy playstyle that exist. I dont understand how can you be souls fan and never make an interesting build, or at least use cool weapon.
@@marcinolszewski2260 playing the game a certain way the game allows for isn’t wrong in any way? There’s nothing wrong with his play style if he chooses to play that way.
ruin sentinels was one of my hardest fights first time through, picture this, you just beat the last giant you think you got the game down so you decide to explore that other pathway and it leads you to the pursuers, at around level 15 or so, after ramming your head against that boss fight for what feels like forever you go to the next area which seems a bit too difficult (due to being underleveled) trudging through that until the ruin sentinels at around level 20-30 and fighting the ruin sentinels stubbornly until you beat them, that was the start of my first playthrough of DS2
Gamers' Ascent Well, that means the game didn't do what it set out to do. The difficulty was lacking. For example, in DaS3, even though I had learned the game by the time I had gotten to Lorian and Lothric, I spent hours trying to take them down. The end game bosses, and most of them in DaS2 in general, are truly terrible. I like the game but it does not compare to the other 2 in terms of direction and enemey design.
Well if you hate ganks you will hate half the DLC which is: Elana who summons either tons of boring skelies that drain your stamina while she constantly spams explosions and dark orbs around you or summons Velstadt at which point you can just suicide honestly; the Gank Squad, the fight in which you will run around like an idiot trying to make a distance between you and super fast havel soldier who 1 shots you, trying to get 1-2 hits max on the archer guy who shoots from a greatbow and then swaps to fucking rapier, I spent 40 minutes in a single fight untill I poked them to death; Lud and Zallen , probably the worst fight in the game, I had trouble with Aava and both of them are just insane, the run to the boss is one of the 2 worst in the game, its also very long and the boss is lazy, overpowered, has retarded hitboxes, is near impossible to beat without cheese and its plain unfun. The rest of the DLC on the other hand is amazing, Alonne, Fume Knight, Sinh and Burnt Ivory King are the best fights in the game, Aava is not that bad and Blue Smelter Demon would be cool if not for the run to his boss arena which is on par with the terrible run to Lud and Zallen. You probably beat the DLCs already but if you didnt yet then good luck and dont give up!!!
Oh no, dont quit. If you have couple of hours on your hands and some nerves, you go and clear all the Iron Passage 10-15 times untill the enemies despawn. It will make the fight much easier and much more fun. You can do it!!!
First Playthrough Might as well get the Tseldora set I somehow know about already. I have a good feeling that the rapier is good especially when upgraded early and combined with gold pine resin. Should be good until I get Red Iron Twinblade. In my gut I should definitely reserve four attunement slots for when I trade a boss soul for Sacred Oath. Must be good if it requires so much from my build. Since I am a pro in my first playthrough these bosses are too easy! If I had to sum them up it would be in a two-part video where I would describe them as ganky and unoriginal. I think I will call it Ranking the Dark Souls 2 Bosses from Easiest to Hardest.
BeaverGodz whats the problem though? Isnt it rather stupid to NOT exploit something like this? Thats like saying “ugh, he levels up and uses armor, TRUE players literally fist the bosses to death“ Noob weapons are the fault of the developer, not the ones using them
Actually, we weren't talking about that. The fact that he calls bosses "easy" while showing no skill at all. That's like killing a bear with a shotgun and calling it "easy".
@@Avghistorian77 I was fighting him with double Large Clubs power stance and that thing STILL took forever to kill even with those big ass weapons. Its insane how tanky he is for how fast and hard he hits.

+Gavin Christenson Unrelated to that... (Well, kinda related) Well, how should I put this? To be blunt: Why is Satanism a religion? Trying not to sound rude. Probably failing.
+Virtus Xavier Fair point. I meant, were did it stem, etc. Then again, we Christians believe in a magical space ghost who flooded the world because someone had curiosity.
For anyone struggling with Fume Knight: 1. In phase 1 always dodge towards him or to his right, the same applies to phase 2 EXCEPT the AOE and slow swipe 2. Always dodge the AOE by moving directly backwards as soon as you see the tell 3. Always dodge left through the slow swipe as its about to hit you 4. Only ever heal after dodging either of those attacks If you can do that you've beat fume knight
I usually enjoy watching these kind of tops but Jesus Christ, how every time he built up the bosses to be some unbeatable challenge and then ends it with “and that’s why I’m so happy of beating them in my first try” while showing a background clip of him using a fucking lightning rapier and having a healthbar half the length of the screen was so fucking cringy
He only says that hes glad to of cleared ot first try twice for the only 3 times to the only difficult bosses he beat in one try asides from alonne where he says it was luck and also the died to is likely to condensed content and not make another unnecessary video of him ranking the bosses himself considering this is a community ranking oh and the only mention of difficult asides from him saying that the smelter demons were very difficult to him was asking people to explain ehat they thought was hard
And lets keep in mind everyone has access to these types of weapons, and can choose to use them as they see fit. "That boss wasn't easy, because I chose to use a crappy ass build vs that boss, which put me at a huge disadvantage". Meh, not buying it.
Penzig Yeah everyone has access to it but not everyone knows how good it is. Unless you Google it or watch the guides it would probably take you a long time to figure out how good it is.
Sure, sure. Is that supposed to counter my point or something? Because your point is valid for almost all weapons and all aspects of this game, and I just said he made use of a good, easily acquired weapon, and shouldn't be critizied for simply using it. If anything - he should be credited - and my reasoning being this: If the argument is that the rapier is OP, and therefore this ranking list is "bad", then I say "shouldn't you make use of the best options available in the game before ranking bosses on difficulty?" It makes sense, doesn't it? And it surely makes boss fights comparable, as opposed to using a different build that could possibly be good vs some bosses, and crap vs others. If we all agree the rapier is OP almost all the time, vs any boss, then that is the perfect build for comparing boss difficulty. It wouldn't have been a good difficulty ranking on bosses if you ran around with the worst build in the game, and everything is really hard because you are using a poor ass weapon. Then the bosses aren't what's necessarily hard. It could be hard because you try and kill the ancient dragon with fire. That reflects your choice of build, not the boss' difficulty.
Penzig yeah because the game is meant to be played by the absolute most optimistic way possible right? Wtf you didn't get all giant souls? You didn't level agility to a point of ds1 dodge? You didn't light that completely random windmill to remove poison? Hey, so you can't complain about anything xdxdxd
Hey everyone! Just a quick update - for anyone waiting on Skyrim and Fallout Mods Weekly, I've been having technical issues with both causing some delays. I think I've fixed the problem though, and I should have both videos out by the end of tomorrow. Thanks for understanding and I hope you enjoy the video!
Julian G yeah she was beyond underwhelming i mean you can just back away from the curse orbs and she'll just follow you and do some of the most predictable moves in the game so it felt good to smack her with the kings ultra great sword.
Did he hack the program and made for himself an overpowered weapon and permanent gold pine resin buff? No. If you want to state it is "overpowered" or "easy", and that you choose different builds because you think its more fun when it is more difficult - then you are not really eligable to discuss difficulty, in my opinion. (Though, I do the exact same thing, and if I find out my build sucks vs a particular boss, I bite the apple and and try 1 million times to beat the boss with MY build - so that judgement applies to me too). But looking at this rationally: Assuming his build is at the top of the easy-overpowered-list, isn't that exactly the build you should choose to determine difficulty? After all, the build is simply options provided by the game, and if ranking bosses on difficulty, one should take into account that you make use of the best options to fight the boss that you have. Then bosses are compared on equal grounds, and without ignoring too many possibly "better ways" to fight it.
Penzig are. You. Fucking. Stupid? Just because a game has a feature or weapon doesn't justify using it! By that logic, loot boxes are perfectly fine! No, it is most definitely NOT how you are supposed to fight or rank the bosses. Playing the games how they're not supposed to be played doesn't make them fun at all. Seriously, just think about it fit one second.
That sinner "bad hitbox" was not a bad hitbox, just the way some grab attacks look like when they proc. You hit her when she was in a parry stance, but instead of turning Sinner to face you for the riposte, game teleports you in front of her.
Popcorn thief you can finish them before even reaching fume , just like i did , there are 11 ashen idols in total , you get 4 from another place inside brume tower and 1 form sir alonne
What’s with people saying Fume Knight is hard? He’s an easier Artorias if anything. Here’s a great anecdote. My little brother (12) was watching me fight him and goes “let me get a try” so I did. An he didn’t do bad at all, despite never even knowing what souls games are or playing one. Then we decided to have him beat the first phase and me the second, took us a couple tries but no sweat really. TL;DR if my 12 y/o brother can beat fume knight, you can too.
Strangely, I can never kill him on his first form, I have to start the fight wearing that helmet that triggers him. I find the second form so much easier personally
I've watched this video numerous times but only recently finally got to play and beat the DLC and I must say my experience with blue Smelter Demon definitely keeps him out of my top 10 hardest. Regular Smelter is actually my favorite fight in the base game and Blue Smelter to me was the same fight just with different timing to learn. I enjoyed it.
The only issue with the Blue Smelter Demon imo is the ridiculously dumb boss run. If his boss run wasnt so bad I think I would enjoy him more. But its so annoying running back to him every time he kills you so I cant help but just feel annoyed every time I die to him instead of excited to fight a hard boss.
DS2 is a great game. It's severely underrated because it has the "Dark Souls" lable on it and is nothing like the other games. But even so, I enjoyed it and I think you'll enjoy it!
I got the game yesterday and as somebody who always plays shieldless dex first, I was really put off by the controls. About an hour in, I stopped playing it. I then discovered, that you need to dump a few levels into a stat that gets rid of the shitty rolls and it got better. I'm still not feeling the dark souls vibe, but at least I can play it now. Regarding bosses, they were all pretty easy so far, with the persuer probably being the hardest (4 deaths). I don't get the hype for the ruin sentinels or the gargoyles though. The sentinels died on the second attempt, the gargoyles on the first. The sentinels have identical movesets, which makes them a lot more relaxed than O+S, even though they are three instead of two. The gargoyles seemed a lot less agressive, or at least slower than the ones in DS1. It was very easy to get hits in without taking damage, which is not as easy when both DS1 gargoyles are alive and the last time I did a DS1 playthrough was two days ago.
I think judging boss difficulty is about being able to dodge their attacks and damage them, but having a huge health bar like that and just tanking and healing is fine and I don't discredit it, but I don't think it's a true indicator of difficulty of the boss.
DragonLinkGaming I know but I'm referring more to his comments on each. I've watched a few of these for different games and he says a lot that he doesn't agree bosses are hard, but he's slways got a huge health bar and using the FoTM build so I'm sure he wasn't playing blind. I just don't think it's a good indicator since these games really do have "soft" difficulty settings in the form of builds and summons
Assuming his build is at the top of the easy-overpowered-list, isn't that exactly the build you should choose to determine difficulty? After all, the build is simply options provided by the game, and if ranking bosses on difficulty, one should take into account that you make use of the best options to fight the boss that you have. Then bosses are compared on equal grounds, and without ignoring too many possibly "better ways" to fight it.
Penzig right, I can give an example where this is wrong. If you play fallout, and have a fat man with 100 mini nukes and only use that, will it be difficult? You can do it in the game, but is using that one-shot weapon really a good indicator?
Honestly nashandra was one of the most disappointing fights in the game and knowing she's the final boss is even more disappointing. My first time through scholar of the first sin I killed her on my first try and got the end cutscene and the only thing going though my mind was "that's it? That's a final boss?"
***** I'm not exaggerating that boss fight is horrible. Especially after the throne watcher and defender boss fight. They're more worthy of being a final boss than her. Hell the pursuer would be a more deserving final boss because he can actually threaten you.
***** I killed the throne watcher and defender then saw nashandra like "oh shit let's go! I'm ready to die to this boss a few times." kills it first try without being hit... Umm what?
Well Sir I salute you because Elana was one of the hardest bosses for me even when she summoned skeletons, so whenever I saw that she summoned Velstadt I either suicided or went for all in if she was relatively low health. Thank god that Fromsoft probably knew this fight was retarded so they placed a bonfire outside the fogdoor...
I have a foolproof strategy for Fume Knight for people who can't beat him. I died a lot to him so I started trying different tactics. One thing I learned was going no armor makes his attacks much easier to dodge. Second, equipping Velstadts helmet at the beginning makes him go automatically to his second phase moveset. The second phase is less unpredictable than the first, and the moveset is much easier to learn. Using a shield with good stability and resistance will keep you safe followed by your weapon of choice. When healing, always be ready to cancel and dodge because he loves to rush you when you go for the flask. Last, dont attack more than twice. Greed means death, so keep your composure and wear him down slowly.
I feel like you're WAY OVERLEVELED when you fight DS2 dlc bosses. Your damage output is just INSANE.. 500 damage with that fast poke.. When you do Bloodborne bosses, you seem to be of much lower level. That makes your boss difficulty ranking very unfair.
Eh. I find it very hard not to be overleveled in DS2, leveling up just not does not cost as much. I think it's more so due to the weapon than the level. Rapiers, and Winblade be busted.
Hey, I'm watching this again. In 2019, because why not. The Gargoyles are a pain, and if you can't kill them quick enough. The attacks are just for awful, and like you. I ran around the arena, and I think the best part was surviving all 4 of 5 gargoyles attacking at once with 4 separate attacks. One was in the air shooting a lightning AOE, another flew into the air and was breathing fire, the third one was on the ground with its fire breath, and the fourth and final one re need to also fly into the air but used one of its melee attacks. I barely managed to beat that fight using a Greatsword, probably not the best weapon for that fight but I like the strength weapons due to the insane amount of damage they can deal as well as buffing them. 😂
Gargoyles respawn is based on the damage you deal to the ones that already spawned. This is the strategy, i got all of them spawn in the same time but then i just focused one at time and the fight became a joke and fun for me.
I remember my rapier playthrough... it was shockingly easy, considering it was my fifth playthrough, but nothing tops early game on vanilla DSII when Lightning Spear could destroy anything.
So little backstory. When I first played Dark Souls 2, I had no idea of what "adaptability" was. And the help button was not actually helping, so I almost completely left it alone during my first playthrough, which took 50 hours. Do the maths. AAAAAAAAAAAH ! I even went as far as trying to face Blueberry with like, on invincibility frame. It was actually the first time I gave up on a boss because it was too difficult for me. A year passed, and since I still remembered quite fondly of some moments (Majula, Heide's Tower, Vendrick's room, etc...), I felt the itch to try it again, but my memories of not being able to dodge through attacks were too painful (especially considering my tendency to go fast roll/ninja flips with a curved sword in 1 and 3, and since Ibwas taking more hits than usual, I had to adapt my playstyle in 2 and put on some heavier armor and a Halberd to strike from afar). But then, I discovered that the key to making the gameplay work was hidden behind a conspicuously vague stat. I am pleased to report that I am now having a BLAST replaying this game, and I literally yelled in victory as I defeated the Smelter Demon on my first try. This time, I'll try to get my revenge on Bluebastard.
Pretty surprised to see the double Aava fight up there! Honestly, I would totally see them being #2 if you count in the run back to the boss, as that's a whole nightmare on its own... But I've only fought it once and I did it my first try.
Agree with you for the most. Gargoyles though I found extremely easy - fought this fight a lot and Belfry Luna is my favorite zone of the game because of all the invasions. I used to hang out there a lot and either offer my sign to people or attack as Bell guard lol. To me multiplayer wise DS2 was the best out of all 3.
The strategy I found on the fly when fighting Elana was to wait for her to summon the three skeletons, kill two of them and then leave the last one be. Because then, it becomes very easy to ignore it (especially if you manage to get Elana between you and him, which is actually quite easy) and you are assured that no Velstad will come for your ass (and I think she becomes less aggressive when there's a minion summoned, but I'm not sure).
It took me over 60+ tries to kill the Fume Knight. Before the fight, I had about 60 Human Effigies. After, I had none. I had to farm more. It took me TWO WEEKS to beat him, but along with every Shulva boss and Alonne, he is one of my favourite fights.
15:19 for the Fume Knight's heath regeneration it's cause by the four ashen idols of Nadalia outside the arena.. you should destroy the four ashen idols before entering the boss arena to prevent Fume's healing.. i feel it's kinda pointless to say all of this because no one's playing this game anymore xD
I finally beat the DS2 rouges gallery myself (except for lud and zallen as well as the three NPC ganksquad) Also, FFFFFFFFFFF the "balancing" this game has, If you want to be a pure magic mage this game is easy as nuts until you beat the main game bosses, however then the dlc hits, and the developers decide to make nearly everything magically imune (as in, your crystal soul spears only do chip damage) I almost wish that the base enemies were more resistant to magic and the dlc guys were slightly nerfed Which leads into the biggest challenge any magic man has, Blue smelter -He IS magic, so your forced to use likely a raw weapon, and his physical attack overrides any benefits you might get from High magic defense -He has a bigger sword, and I think the arena is smaller, so no casting to whittle him down even slightly -your allies suck, (despite having a full mastadon set, one of them goes down in 30 seconds) -The run-up has people spamming hush, which would be fine apart from the jerks sitting on a waist-high ledge firing bolts of lightning that you can't attack because you use spells instead of bows -To kill said jerks in melee, you need to de-spawn a jail cell area with 8 guys, pull a lever, perfect-dodge 4-5 fireballs, and jump thru a closing gate 12 TIMES to despawn them, more if you die at any point -any good magic/physical defense gear is too heavy for your meager VIT - your health might not be the highest, and he drains it when he buffs, thanks to the run up you are probably low on healing items, and he still hits like a truck. No other boss is THIS one-sided to a particular basic character design, so much so that I started to consider re-allocating my stats, and farming for titanite chunks to upgrade heavy armor. Not even the Midirr did that. Thanks for giving me the biggest finger possible fromsoft, and gwyn forbid I ever want to use the intelligence stat ever again.
My personal top 5 is: 5. Darklurker 4. Looking glass knight 3. Elana 2. Ancient dragon 1. Sir alonne Difficulty rly is subjective, I found Fume knight and Lud & Zallen relatively easy to learn and killed them rather quickly, whereas Alonne and Elana destroyed me like 20 times each.
One of the biggest causes of death for me in the Ancient Dragon fight was actually just me accidentally guiding him to the edge of the arena and not being able to run under him to dodge the fire. The arena is not as big as it looks...
I beat the fume knight 2nd try, honestly playing super aggressive was the best strategy for me. I was able to take him out before he finished buffing himself. huh.
1st play through his slow sweeping fire attack really got to my head thinking the swing would go faster! in all it might have been my favorite fight close up with Sir Alonne.
I beat him on my 3rd try, I played first Bloodborne and Dark Souls III, I think that after beating bosses like Orphan of Kos, Maria, Ludwig, Gael, Nameless King and Pontiff Sulyvahn he is and easier version, short moveset and slow speed. I have to say that my second attemp was going great but that shitty hitbox screwed me so hard.
i did Veldstat drunk (super keen to continue playing the game after a night out) and its one of the only bosses i reckon id have been able to do that with
I admit, back in the day knowing I was about to face the final boss of the game in Nashandra, I was scared and wanted to be ready, so I gathered the best of the best equipment I could possibly have at my disposal for this fight, and leveled up like a maniac until I thought I was about ready, and at the gate before the boss fight, I saw a summoning sign, it was Benhart of Jugo's, and I was so relieved to have an NPC aiding me for the fight. So, once I entered the fog gate and watch her epic yet chilling cinematic, the fight began and... it took me 2 minutes to beat her... Maybe I was too ready for that fight, but that was a tad dissapointing, even more so considering this was my first time playing a Souls game. Still, lore and aesthetic wise I like Nashandra a lot, easily one of my favorite bosses in the Souls series in those aspects.

No problem, I understand your reasoning *cough* DS2 Hitboxes *cough*. Just wanted you to know ^^ She got me w that once and it made me freak out too btw..
Alonne really was a sick fight. Really enjoyed that one, shitty runback tho.
I hate this fk so much his moveset has really weird timing and he instantly swings and pretty much slides halfway across the room and into a swing 😂 much harder than fume imo
the only thing I found stressful about Alonne is his super quick attacks. Your attack time and healing gim is very minimal like, barely minimal.
Best boss in ds2 for me, and when he did seppuku if he failed to hit you once is also a nice touch for his lore..
That was nothing compared to blue Taurus demon
He keeps saying "lol this boss is easy" I did as much damage as you did two handing a much slower weapon, you deal like 2000 damage in 1 round of hits, no wonder it's fucking easy.
True, yet, he has lost 11 times against fume knight and struggled against most DLC bosses. Those top 7 bosses are clearly harder than the rest, even when overpowered
Whoneedspacee That is FromSoft's fault for making rapiers so unbalanced.
He started the Nashandra section saying it was footage from his only fight with her after he came to the game late - is wearing the merchant's set and has a buff rapier. So he just googled meta builds for his first playthrough, ugh.
Kukakkau yeah how dare he use good weapon. He should only use his fist with hollow soldier armor
jazzmaster909 it's not a good weapon.
Nameless King?
+NightBot Ban What about him?
GrahfMetal Beat him?
+NightBot Ban Yeah! granted, I was NG+ SL 255 before I could beat him
u can summon 2 npcs to fight him. and this boss is made for coop. try it with them maybe. at least with the healer guy, he can be a help. i fought them with 2 friends, was quite hard but still entertaining: At least one more fight not being able to win after first try. and u gotta try hard!
too many bosses in the original game were first-try guys ...
Honorable duel! *chugs estus*
NoGoodMarw you just summarized Dark Souls 3

Some of these death counters seemed kinda low...
@@Ldenlord this seems to be a problem for the pc version. There is a fix for it however. Just look it up, it makes the movement much better.
They are way too low for a normal standard that's because he is using a gold pined rapier so the fights are way too easy with that op weapon
Flash sweat with high fire resist armor turns the ancied dragons ohk into a tiny bit of splash damage
to this day the only dark souls 2 boss i never killed is Lud and Zallen, because that shitty ass area is the worst.
+Danothyus1 Agreed, that area is ass! Those damn reindeer...
+Danothyus1 that area legit made me quit the game , and its the only souls game i have yet to finish
its not that i dont like the idea, the astetic of the place is really cool, but those fucking unicorns and the wait time during the snow storms is simply too much, besides the big pile of NOTHING that you have to walk to reach anything...
***** ikr , 5 min walk with flying thunder unicorn just to get to 2 magic giant cat , fantastic game moment ....
***** oh? i had no idea , was my first dark souls too so i wasn't really sure what i was doing but thanks for the tips ill try to remember it :)
Tip for smelter demon: listen to his voice, it gives away the timing of his swings. Just dodge during a certain time when he does a normal swipe during his roar and you’ll be good
What if you cant hear?
He will trick you with a delayed attack if you relied on that
Just use rapier
I can handle fume knight, but smelter demon always kick my ass, not to mention having to keep Lucatiel alive lol
Dodge to the left as well
Pro tip for SotFS players: Freja’s spider minions infinitely respawn, but they fear light.
You're not supposed to kill dragonslayer so early, you're supposed to come back to it
+The Mighty Punion As I said, all the bosses are easy if you fight them overleveled
Wanna make Freja as easy as it could be? Use a torch, the spiders will run away from you
only on SOTFS.
I don't know how he didn't know that
Bitch,I'm Ornstein
There is a god...thank you
thanks for the tip
The Smelter Demon is the one and only boss I've ever rage quitted on. I would like to say that DS2 was my first Souls game, I died so many times to the Smelter Demon that I gave up, waited several days, and then beat it first try when I came back.
Blue smelter is such a pain in the hole. I personally think his boss run is way worse than Alonne.
this guy really just googled and used a fucking lightning rapier build on his first playthrough o.0
For real. I wouldn’t even care if he wasn’t humble bragging CONSTANTLY lmao.
lol dude cheeses through the games and expects us to be impressed
@@jinjaminjps4247 You are so right , I didn't think about his approach . He must've had all the knowledge before every boss fight
"Probably the most ng health in the entire series" a wild darkeater midir appears!
They tecnically have the same health
@@emanuelstornello8009 Not even close, Ancient Dragon has 4K more health than Midir on NG.
Ancient dragon has the most health of any non gimmick boss in from soft's library
For nashandra just get the hollow mask from the old iron king DLC, it completely negates cursing
RandomStuff i used the black witch veil since I own SOTFS, curse immunity super early in the game.
She didn't had curse on earlier versions of the original game, they had to BUFF her, so yeah, pretty shitty boss
“This boss was easy” *using lightning rapier*
Seriously, what's the point of talking about bosses' quality and dificulty if you go heavily overleveled with the cheapest, most broken cheesy playstyle that exist. I dont understand how can you be souls fan and never make an interesting build, or at least use cool weapon.

ruin sentinels was one of my hardest fights first time through, picture this, you just beat the last giant you think you got the game down so you decide to explore that other pathway and it leads you to the pursuers, at around level 15 or so, after ramming your head against that boss fight for what feels like forever you go to the next area which seems a bit too difficult (due to being underleveled) trudging through that until the ruin sentinels at around level 20-30 and fighting the ruin sentinels stubbornly until you beat them, that was the start of my first playthrough of DS2
Gamers' Ascent I'm level 80 right now and still unable to beat ruin sentinels just skipped them and went to sinners rise
Gerald Deliva honestly ds3 is so much easier
Oh no, dont quit. If you have couple of hours on your hands and some nerves, you go and clear all the Iron Passage 10-15 times untill the enemies despawn. It will make the fight much easier and much more fun. You can do it!!!
First Playthrough
Might as well get the Tseldora set I somehow know about already.
Best comment so far
He was not playing the game for the first time only dlc was blind. There was a community voting to rank the bosses so shut up and read.
Love this comment
he says every boss is easy and he is r1 spamming a rapier 😂
Are Rapiers OP in DS2? I've really only ever powerstanced hand axes or maces.
Tekki - yea with buffs like resin and it's high attacking speed it's destroys bosses but it needs no skill and all you do is r1 spam
The footage is from a speed run.
BeaverGodz whats the problem though? Isnt it rather stupid to NOT exploit something like this? Thats like saying “ugh, he levels up and uses armor, TRUE players literally fist the bosses to death“
Noob weapons are the fault of the developer, not the ones using them
Actually, we weren't talking about that. The fact that he calls bosses "easy" while showing no skill at all.
That's like killing a bear with a shotgun and calling it "easy".
"HE IS SOO TANKY" he says while using twin blades with sunlight blade
If you still find him tanky with that kind of build, you know he truly is tanky.
@@Avghistorian77 I was fighting him with double Large Clubs power stance and that thing STILL took forever to kill even with those big ass weapons. Its insane how tanky he is for how fast and hard he hits.

kozodoev It can't be killed by just R1, only if you use that specific build, maybe that's why it got nerfed, eh?
Why you can kill a boss without using r1 once you only use r2 why you must use a dagger or some shit

+Virtus Xavier Eh
+Virtus Xavier For some players it's not Lucifer. I'm not one of them, but I haven't run into it yet so I don't know if it's Lucifer or not. Plus I'm an unregistered (Laveyan) Satanist so the term "Satan" means an archetype for pure carbality of the human nature.
+Gavin Christenson Unrelated to that... (Well, kinda related)
Well, how should I put this? To be blunt: Why is Satanism a religion? Trying not to sound rude. Probably failing.
+Virtus Xavier Fair point. I meant, were did it stem, etc.
Then again, we Christians believe in a magical space ghost who flooded the world because someone had curiosity.
+Virtus Xavier Well, that makes sense. Also, as far as the Space Ghost remark...
I dunno.
For anyone struggling with Fume Knight:
1. In phase 1 always dodge towards him or to his right, the same applies to phase 2 EXCEPT the AOE and slow swipe
2. Always dodge the AOE by moving directly backwards as soon as you see the tell
3. Always dodge left through the slow swipe as its about to hit you
4. Only ever heal after dodging either of those attacks
If you can do that you've beat fume knight
These videos with the "this boss is eaaassy" and unnecessary "died to" stat feels like a giant humble brag
Especially when he's practically cheesing them with the lightning rapier
Nothing humble about it
I usually enjoy watching these kind of tops but Jesus Christ, how every time he built up the bosses to be some unbeatable challenge and then ends it with “and that’s why I’m so happy of beating them in my first try” while showing a background clip of him using a fucking lightning rapier and having a healthbar half the length of the screen was so fucking cringy
@@Itual
youre a pussy for crying about something this man did on his own fucking build way back in 2016 lmfao stfu and get a goddamned life
Let's just keep in mind that buffed rapier is an absolutely ridiculous build and makes like 80% of the bosses in this game a cakewalk
Not idea what you are trying to say here. Fun fact: I lit that windmill on fire all on my own (thought, quite accidental), so there!
Hey everyone! Just a quick update - for anyone waiting on Skyrim and Fallout Mods Weekly, I've been having technical issues with both causing some delays. I think I've fixed the problem though, and I should have both videos out by the end of tomorrow. Thanks for understanding and I hope you enjoy the video!

black witch veil or hollow mask easy counter
To be entirely fair, you ARE using a rather overpowered build for this game. Thrusting weapon + buff = cheese.
+IThe AuthorityI that's not cheese, it's just easy.
s21411 Synonymous lol
Easy = Cheesy

The Shrine was such a cheap area... I had way too many falling deaths in the water. So lame...
Yeah, worst area of the game in my opinion
The Shrine was cool and I liked the design of the zone, but it was such a pain in the ass that it was a horrible zone to play through.
"was the hardest boss. only took me 1 try. aha"
how did you not have smelter wedges? you get six at the beginning of the iron king dlc.
When you beat the game without even fighting the top 9 bosses.
Fume knkght:
First phase: dodge to the right, where he has his great sword.
Second phase: roll left.
You'll thank me later
Never died to fume , even on ng+6 i stay at his right at all times and try bait his long distance lunge
pretty much, although you only need to dodge left thru the slow swipe
Even easier is to bait him to hit and run for hit after that
Strangely, I can never kill him on his first form, I have to start the fight wearing that helmet that triggers him. I find the second form so much easier personally
Even better, dodge towards him and a little to the angle he's swinging from, you're never gonna get hit.
@@eragon78 I can understand that

Nice! Try not to get to frustrated if the mechanics feel a bit clunky, it took me aback after playing the other entries first.
The Ps4 version has all the DLC.
how do i get the dlc keys in sotfs
Gotta love how all 3 bosses from Crown of Old Iron King are in the top five.
It’s trueeee alonne tilted the fuck out of me earlier lmao fuck that guys moveset timing the run back is obnoxious af too
Killing fume knight was one of my top ten most satisfying moments
I think judging boss difficulty is about being able to dodge their attacks and damage them, but having a huge health bar like that and just tanking and healing is fine and I don't discredit it, but I don't think it's a true indicator of difficulty of the boss.
Jesus These rankings arent based on his opinion. this is the community ranking.
Penzig that's a wonderful point.

Umm what?
I actually managed to beat Elana on my absolute first try, with a Velstadt spawn. Damn, that was satisfying.
Lucky
Same here! Did it earlier today.
I didn't know she could summon things other than Velstadt...
David H i did that on my 2nd and it was funny cuz my friend spent eons on it, feels good man
I have a foolproof strategy for Fume Knight for people who can't beat him.
It was a community poll, not him. Granted, he gave his thoughts and the footage, but he had no role in the placements.
CONTEXT: Easy for Dark Souls. We all know it’s never that easy.
He said they were difficult when he 5-tapped every one of them lol
The strategy I found on the fly when fighting Elana was to wait for her to summon the three skeletons, kill two of them and then leave the last one be. Because then, it becomes very easy to ignore it (especially if you manage to get Elana between you and him, which is actually quite easy) and you are assured that no Velstad will come for your ass (and I think she becomes less aggressive when there's a minion summoned, but I'm not sure).
This isn't correct. Played her yesterday, left one skeleton. She still summoned Velstadt. I turned hollow ...
@@casperfeyling8650 Huh, my bad
Watching these vids makes me want to play all the souls games again sequentially.
It took me over 60+ tries to kill the Fume Knight. Before the fight, I had about 60 Human Effigies. After, I had none. I had to farm more. It took me TWO WEEKS to beat him, but along with every Shulva boss and Alonne, he is one of my favourite fights.
Raymy DreddrunnerVX I refuse to use weapons without scaling, anyway, I beat him easily now.
I am, stuck on the Fume Knight at the moment...
I still play it almost daily lol
First playthrough here!
Thanks for the tip!!!!!!
people are still playing it. I find PvP matches daily on PC
i just finished the whole game and the dlc for the first time but I forgot Darklurker so going back now
I finally beat the DS2 rouges gallery myself (except for lud and zallen as well as the three NPC ganksquad)
Also, FFFFFFFFFFF the "balancing" this game has, If you want to be a pure magic mage this game is easy as nuts until you beat the main game bosses, however then the dlc hits, and the developers decide to make nearly everything magically imune (as in, your crystal soul spears only do chip damage) I almost wish that the base enemies were more resistant to magic and the dlc guys were slightly nerfed
Which leads into the biggest challenge any magic man has, Blue smelter
-He IS magic, so your forced to use likely a raw weapon, and his physical attack overrides any benefits you might get from High magic defense
-He has a bigger sword, and I think the arena is smaller, so no casting to whittle him down even slightly
-your allies suck, (despite having a full mastadon set, one of them goes down in 30 seconds)
-The run-up has people spamming hush, which would be fine apart from the jerks sitting on a waist-high ledge firing bolts of lightning that you can't attack because you use spells instead of bows
-To kill said jerks in melee, you need to de-spawn a jail cell area with 8 guys, pull a lever, perfect-dodge 4-5 fireballs, and jump thru a closing gate 12 TIMES to despawn them, more if you die at any point
-any good magic/physical defense gear is too heavy for your meager VIT
- your health might not be the highest, and he drains it when he buffs, thanks to the run up you are probably low on healing items, and he still hits like a truck.
My personal top 5 is:
5. Darklurker
4. Looking glass knight
3. Elana
2. Ancient dragon
1. Sir alonne
Difficulty rly is subjective, I found Fume knight and Lud & Zallen relatively easy to learn and killed them rather quickly, whereas Alonne and Elana destroyed me like 20 times each.
I actually can't remember how many times I died to fume knight something over 30
me too. and i am currently playing ds3 the first time. guess how many times i tried that bitch ass sulyvahn now and he still isn't dead
"Then rush in and punish her ass face" So many jokes I'm having trouble deciding.
Darklurker caused me so much pain...
Dispelling ring +1, ring of dark and fire defense +3 and some proper light armor and she does like nothing.
"I personally found this boss easy" while using lightning rapier and 60 vigor. no shit you found it easy
I was able to take him out before he finished buffing himself. huh.
Nice work! He isn't so bad if you're good at dodging and take advantage of his slow attacks. But with the wrong RNG he can be a nightmare!
1st play through his slow sweeping fire attack really got to my head thinking the swing would go faster! in all it might have been my favorite fight close up with Sir Alonne.
Took me three tries.
@Deadyclaw Literally every boss in the soul series is easy when you get their moveset down
i did Veldstat drunk (super keen to continue playing the game after a night out) and its one of the only bosses i reckon id have been able to do that with
Haha I can relate! I actually took the Fume Knight in this video's footage after a night out, which is probably why I didn't notice the healing...
+theDeModcracy haha. Glorious.
