  • cEDH Aggro is real! It's not just Kiki lines either. Our commander is large, in charge, and ready to lay the smackdown on our opponents. This deck uses Anzrag the Mole God's abilities to force blocks or combo off, can win by powering up its Quake Mole, or can combo off after drawing cards equal to our commander's power. This competitive EDH deck is powerful, fun, and plays on an axis most decks do not.

A little bit of combat in my life, a little bit of Kiki by my side, a little bit of draw 8’s all I need, a little bit of forced block’s what I see..

Loved your take on this! Ive been thinking Anzrag had CEDH potential but im currently building him without the fast artifacts and lands.
I had about 60% the same build or so from the rest of the card base. Made some tweaks now to toss in kiki-jiki and eternal witness.
I appreciate the ideas for powering this up.
A couple cards im thinking to run that you didnt mention that could be interesting as well - curse of oppulence turns your near infinte beatdowns with terrifying presence or others into excessive treasure tokens.
Additionally inflitration lens is one mana cast, 1 mana equip to draw two cards every time anzrag is blocked.
Not of this world was a GOATed recommendation though, 😂😂😂 I cant wait to see my opponents faces.

The deck seems really interesting. Like Raggadragga, but running some more efficient "combos" and just body people early. Outside of being quick, I think this will just catch so many people off guard.

Reminds me of a deck I made for modern kitchen table play... I'm going to be building this...

why are you surprised it's not sorcery only? it doesn't make much of a difference.

Just more the sentiment that I keep expecting this card to have some kind of drawback but it’s just all gas

This is not cedh if the commander doesn't come out until turn 3 or 4. Cedh decks are winning by that time

Look at the mana base, jeweled lotus, vault, crypt, petal... turn 1 Anzrag is easily possible, as much as any other CEDH deck.
He didn't mulligan aggressively, but it is all rapid mana and tutors. CEDH often wins by turn 3, but not always. Additionally a lot of stax/combo pieces opponents may have on the board could die to Anzrag swinging at faces and slow down non-thoracle combo wins (in theory).
I wouldn't say it is the most powerful deck at CEDH level, but it definitely is in that range. Sleeper build for sure.
