@@joshuaroles9357 Beautiful. I've got a Thrasios + Tevesh list I've been brewing but haven't had the chance to actually playtest. It plays Narset, Ashiok, AND Oko with Thrulls to clog up the board. Hoping I can get a game or two with it
Hey was the 16th guy. First want to say just ice was stand up guy. Came over and shaked my hand for making it. 2nd yea image over duplicate is mainly for cost and with Breach out can chain Dockside. If I was on teferi like just ice the synergy to reset flesh would be a great reason to switch.
Phimage vs Flesh Duplicant... Well I actually wanted to run all 3 clones but I just wanted a more consistent flash attacker so I switched back to Faerie Mastermind last minute. In retrospect Flesh Duplicant is prolly better. On the lack of 1 ring/Talion, I'm not a huge fan of tapping out for 4 mana and most of the time if you get a fast mana draw you already have Tymna/Kraum in the command zone, and if you're tutoring you're looking for Rhystic/Mystic anyway.
Probably playing kogla over thorn for the return to hand effect, but def an oldschool kinnan list. Looks like a mix of highers old big flips + pongos turbo.
i personally always preferred green over red. and i love the outlet of thrasios more than the card advantage of kraum - also 5 mana is a big investment when tapping yourself out on turns where you might have to shut down a win attempt
Is there a place that has a list of all upcoming cedh events? I wanna go to a lot of them this next year but I always seem to hear about them after the fact.
Damn the tymna & thrasios list is nuts. I still can't understand derevi. When I saw the card I thought of emil and Gaea's cradle. But it make sense since there are no other synergies or wins with derevi. I suspect it is like a turbo stax piece. Attack with your creature to untap your lands from the spell you casted main face one. Like a pseudo seedborn? Is it there to provide vigilance to your attackers???? I am as perplexed as a chimera. I don't get.the deck at all. Seems like a stax/mid range deck. I want to try it for sure. Please get the pilot to talk to us about the deck. Seems super cool 😎😎
Hiya, TnT pilot here. Derevi at a baseline is a Tymna attacker that's almost always mana neutral/positive the turn you cast her (and mana positive every turn after). If you also have Gaea's Cradle, she'll end up drawing obscene amounts of cards with Thrasios which, while not infinite, will close out the game within a turn round or two. A very important use case, which many players miss, is that Derevi can tap down permanents as well as untap them; that means during your combo turn you can tap down opponents' lands to deprive them of mana to interact with you. In my round 4 match I tapped down 3 of niv-mizzet's lands before casting thassa's oracle + demonic consultation, preventing niv from casting the counterspells in their hand.
@@Marsteralex1 holy heck!!! that is such a cool play pattern. oddly enough I have seen no one in so many years cast this card in my table other than najeela combo. so yeah I thought derevi only as a combo piece. the idea of straight up value and basically resource denial didn't even cross my mind! I will proxy and try your deck. it feels right. I can't tell what it is exactly it feels like what stax/mid range feel like. so many unique cards also. thank you so much for you reply and explanation. also the play you described is freaking lit!
@@ComedIanMTGso I saw you swapped Touch the Spirit Realm for Dauntless Dismantler…mind me asking the thought process and why you chose to swap those specific cards?
personally I really hate the idea that tnt is a 'dead' deck...my longtime friend plays it on webcam games and consistently does well with it. frankly IMO I think people just got really bored with the deck vs the shiny new atraxa, theres nothing fundamentally wrong with tymna and thrasios as partner commanders and nothing fundamentally wrong with the 4c goodstuff 98 mainboard. I truly think its just a deck that people got bored of and/or forgot, kind of like yawgmoth combo in modern format
Hey man! love your content. Wish you could come down to Long Island, NY to our LGS, Rip N Ship Arena. Definitely want you to check that atmosphere out to see where the likes of Jorman, Max, and Malcolm get there daily reps in at. We’d love to have you. And I’m personally interested in picking your brain on how to break into the content creation space.
I’m slightly bummed we had, what?, 4 Blue Farm lists in the top 16? Seems we really do have a best deck. When Winota was crushing people learned to kill Winota but people don’t see all the advantage coming from Tymna. I think that’s a big edge. People really ought to not let Tymna draw 15 cards in a game holding removal for a win con. Honestly drawing 15 cards for 3 mana has a tendency to win a game. #KillTymna
i played a tourny with blue farm a month or so ago, i had mulligan deep ended up with a hand that was basically turn 2 tymna and no hand, and ended up fighting back for the win, just off the card draw. for sure powerful plus extra power when people ignore you because your hand is gone
Agreed. Keeping graveyards thin against Breach seems pretty solid to me. And randomly being able to profitably block Tymna attackers seems pretty good to me.

Damn, Callahan doesn't mess around. Great production quality and great breakdown as always. Appreciate the kind words, See you at the next one!
Don’t forget that Oko can target The One Ring with its Elk ability. Oko is another slept-on card IMO
I did this the other day to someone, they were quite upset lol

Wyatt the evo player here- thanks for the kind words Ian! Was a hell of a game we played on day 2

Massachusetts has to have the highest conversation rate for cedh grinders 😂
You...aren't wrong 🤣🤣🤣
Love Callahans little inserts throughout the video.
Just Ice is apart of my local seen he’s a great player definitely enjoy podding up against that blue farm list

Hey, I just might be dumb but I don’t see a link to into the A.M. in the description.
If Ian is gonna try 3+ shirts in one video, Cal will have to put Pretty Woman on a montage...
Gonna go ahead and keep this comment pinned on my desktop as a reminder 😂
Let’s goooo! Sick tees Ian!
New editor needs a raise!!! lol
four loads of laundry later, the video is complete.

Is Dauntless Dismantler better than Blind Obedience in Tivit?
y not both?

Coolest deck in the tournament gotta be #178 mono white Kentaro, the Smiling Cat samurai tribal haha
I play a casual dargo and seize the spoils garuntees a 1 mana dargo regardless of what people choose
It's been a long time since we haven't had a Tivit in the top 16.
Freedom changed it last update. Its been swapped. He also updated it in primer.
The editor was so peak
200?!?!?!!? Nice!
No tivits in the top 16? (17, sorry)
The deck is definitely in decline
I was almost sure it might maybe not be Callahan editing...and then I saw Jace get mad about Ian's opinion of Lavinia
Finally a funny thing!
