Just passed the NASM exam 5/11/19 in 45 minutes. Thank you so much for your tips Des! PSA to all NASM test takers: take the domain quizzes and final exams multiple times (10+ times). I would say 50+ questions come directly from the practice quizzes and exams. Another ~50 questions were either common sense or similar to a practice test question. Finally, ~20 questions were a bit harder or ambiguous, but you only need a 70% to pass so you are golden.

Is not that bad tbh. I cram everything in like 6-7 days. The Trainer Academy nasm Roockie study guide is really good. The only thing I used from the actual book was pg 196 just for the Corrective Strategies.

I'm currently majoring in Exercise Science Pre-Physical therapy only because I can't get a major in personal training. In the meantime, I plan on taking the NASM and moving forward from that. @@larissabarcenas7166 Yea it was 2 weeks that I just strictly focused on the material but during that time I didn't have anything else really going on. So if you're really busy or already juggling a lot I recommend taking more time with the material

And I would study any and all practice test material you can that simulates the test so yea the final, midterm & all of the quizzes should be good and I think they have some quizlets out now that you can study from too ! That's what worked for me. Good luck and don't forget to breathe and trust yourself during your test you got it !

I'm two days in and on Chapter 5. Idk if i should be remembering each of the flash cards they provide for each chapter but i feel like it might help to remember every single one lol. I have heard that nutrition is barely on there because they want you to take their own nutritional course.

@@iamcbelle I used my boyfriend, family and friends lol I asked them to stand up and do certain movements like squatting so that I could point out on them exactly where the underactive and overactive muscles were.
Des, I do not have the funds for the self-study course. I have been in training for almost 2 years and I am in great shape now lol... In you opinion if I take your advice and go hard on the practice exams do you think I will be able to pass the exam?? I was going to print out the study guide, but if it isn't helpful than I wont. Thank you!

Not really, just about the chambers of the heart and how blood flows.My test didn't touch on the whole system just basics.

I believe it was in one of the last tabs but I can't go back and look because my self-guided package expired :(

I just called the customer service number and told them I was a student and they carried out the transaction for me!
