This environment was a vibe 😭 It sucks when you're an extrovert but because of Covid you can't even be one anymore. I can totally see how this would be draining for an introvert!

I hate that introversion is falsely correlated with being anti-social. It's just that after I am done interacting with you.... I just need time to get away and recharge
I'm so glad Ellie addressed that there is no correlation between anxiety and shyness and whether you're an introvert or an extrovert. As an introvert, I keep hearing that introverted means shy and hating people, but that's not the case for me. In fact, I enjoy public speaking and meeting new people. I just value alone time and don't really enjoy being around others all the time.
Well, there doesn't *have* to be a correlation, sure. I mean, I'm an extrovert and I have to deal with social anxiety all the time, but I would love to know why you think you love public speaking as an introvert.
@@drdramatik I appreciate your interest. To put it simple, I love sharing my thoughts and ideas. And when it comes to public speaking, I can do that without really worrying what the people in front of me are gonna think. I'm not really gonna meet these people again, and even if I did, I don't really care what they might think of me (this sounds way harsher in my head but I hope you get my point lol). Another thing I like is engaging with the audience. Seeing how they react to a shocking sentence I say whether it be a fact that interested them or just something random they weren't expecting. Although I gotta admit, having a stale and bored audience is so frustrating and really takes the fun out of presenting in front of them. This being said, I can't deny the embarrassment that follows when you mess up (bonus points if it's in front of a friend or family member that will never forget lol). But for me, those mistakes really helped me grow as a person and I'm really thankfuk for that. I've just entered my first year of college this August, and most of my experiences are from competitions, class presentations, and ceremony speeches, so maybe my opinions might change in the future (I really hope not tho). This is got pretty long lol
@@drdramatik I just realized that I didn't address the introvert aspect. When it comes to chatting with others, I tend to take the position of the listener. I like to know more about people and ask them questions about the subject they're talking about out of interest and to engage in what they have to say. I rarely add any input to what's being said, because I'd be either too drained to really give my views on the subject or I just think it's unnecessary. I'm also really not high energy and can't keep up with a lot of conversations lol my mind just wanders off suddenly. So when it comes to public speaking, it's my chance to share my thoughts. No one to interrupt, no one to distract me, just my time to say what I have to say. ^^
@@leeno7oreo Wow, it is very interesting how we both have very similar motivations but different likes. For me, it's a LOT more embarrassing to present in front of a large group of people that I don't know because I am always very self conscious of what I say or do, and if those people don't actually know me, then one little slip up or mistake or even if my method wasn't to their liking is going to be their entire opinion on me. Now, you mentioned that you didn't mind because you're probably not going to meet those people again, but for me as an extrovert that wants to get to know as many people as possible, it gives me major anxiety. That's not to say I don't enjoy public speaking, on the contrary, I absolutely love it and love being able to show an audience what I got, but it's really stressful for me because I tend to be very aware of people's judgements. However, if I'm presenting in front of people I know, I tend to be more casual about it and even more excited since I geto hear their thoughts on it afterwards, and if I did slip up, they get to hear my explanation. On the other side, I also love engaging in long meaningful conversations with large or small groups of people because then, I know for a fact I'm being heard and that they're giving me attention. I will definitely listen too, but it's not a one way street; I'll listen and respond accordingly. If you seem interested to speak a lot, I will listen a lot lol This got a little longer than I thought too XD maybe we can talk about this in length somewhere?
It's really sweet how you still come to the comments after 3 years, have a great day! I am an introvert and to me you were the first person I thought was an extrovert lol@@zedlyfe
They voted out the person that interacted with people the most. The person can be talking a little bit however interacting with people a lot. Eg; asking questions
It was strange that when they were talking about their jobs and they made it out like introverts couldn’t hold jobs that required lots of social interaction. As an introvert, I can handle kids and the only reason why having a job that has lots of socializing with customers is challenging sometimes is because I have social anxiety. Contrary to the stereotype, introverts are very capable of being social, we just become drained after a certain period of time.
no because i'm an english teacher and teach kids 1-6th grade but am super introverted. It can be a bit tiring by the end of the day but I love it and its super fun
So true! I work in customer service and I always get reviews saying I’m bubbly and really outgoing. Then I go back to my flat and roll up into a blanket to watch a series and recharge in absolute silence. Your job has no bearing on your introvert/extrovert status
I'm also an introvert and work as a server and host, for whatever reason when I'm working I'm able to act super falsely confident, it's a completely different feeling than anywhere else in life. I for sure have to recharge after tho lmao
As an extrovert, that was overwhelming for me. People generally stereotype extroverts as loud, talkative, and high energy. To me extroverts recharge their energy by being around people, and are more comfortable in social situations (which lends to us being more open to approaching strangers). I feel refreshed and less stressed when I'm with people and that includes calm activities like playing board games or even watching a movie. Contrary to popular belief, we aren't screaming all the time :) We just like being around other people!
im an introvert but zed said being an extrovert means loving meeting new people and hearing their stories..that's one of my favorite things. i LOVE people and i love talking to them
I have to agree with pitty2734 because introverts just don't normally LOVE talking to people, it is just not as fun for them most of the time, but don't quote because I'm not an expert or anything
I literally thought it was Alex the whole time he just seemed like he was trying to prove himself a lot and when he said "If I were an extrovert" I wondered how come no one other than Ellie noticed that
It's interesting thinking about the fact that the one secret introvert had to step out of their shell for this video while the other 6 all enjoy being around people and expressing themselves lol, that's actually super insane to realize haha.
He definitely seems nice, but as an introvert who loves my own space, he would be insufferable to be around IMO. Nothing against him! But i know so many loud people like that who just drain my "social battery"
😂 in my introverted mind i just thought about how i overthink every word i say, so i wouldn’t make a mistake like that. whereas most extroverted people just say the first thing they think of and don’t give it too much thought
It's not the first time this happens. It's arguably not a mistake. You say "If I were..." because you're talking assuming that no one is sure that you are or are not, and you subconsciously talk as if people assume that you're the mole (cause that's what you're afraid of, and therefore what you assume). Obviously, it's just a theory and I admit it's a bit far fetched, but there's probably an explanation for it, cause it happened more than once in these jubilee videos
@@thepizzaelf i think its because they got more of the stereotypically extroverted sort of people together?? (ngl tho i would love to hang out with people like these they seem fun)

As an introvert tho, honestly if I'd ever be around any extrovert I'd choose Zed. He has this certain "healthy extrovert" vibes that would make you feel like when you talk, he's gonna listen and wont talk over you nor invalidate you. I am working with the bad kind of extroverts right now and I dont talk much, I just work. If ever there are instances that I talk, whatever words come out of my mouth I collected confidence and courage for and practiced it in my head many times and being ignored twice or being disregarded after talking just feels... It just makes me sad tbh.
I had 2 co-workers exactly like that at my summer job :(( whenever they came in I knew the day would suck cuz they drain the hell out of me and are not even friendly lol, I was just on edge the whole time with them and eventually stopped trying to talk with them cuz they just treated me weirdly. Made my overthinking soo much worse:/
It's frustrating that they don't know what being an introvert actually is. I work in customer service and I do a fantastic job. I also like hanging out with my friends! I just need time to recharge at the end of the day, but I'm still capable of being around people and not dying.
Agree. I’ve always thought i was considered an extrovert because i absolutely love partying, meeting new people etc. But at the end of the day, i feel like i always need a bit of alone time to recharge after prolongued periods of social interaction so would i be considered an introvert?
@@bigmarv5656 I would say you’re neither/both not everyone falls into one or the other necessarily, like you said you love meeting new people and being out that is an extrovert quality, and extroverts don’t always need to be around people either they also need alone time, everyone does! but if you feel drained and need alone time to recharge that is an introvert quality. whereas extroverts get recharged by being social. so you can see it as you’re both or that you’re neither.
I one hundred percent thought it was Alex. From the “if I were an extrovert” comment, to being an actor, and then saying “I don’t think the mole is here”. I thought that last one was a smokescreen. Stunned
As an Introvert and watched the Introvert episode last year, I could only imagine how it would be if it was the opposite. Oh boi they did not disappoint!!
I can already tell Elysia is an introvert because for me, as a fellow extrovert, she doesn’t smile when talking to people and she talks so little. She doesn’t give eye contact when talking to people. That’s why l know she’s an introvert.
As an introvert I would definitely have a vote on Alaa because from the beginning she just started asking questions, maybe she took the lead, but in a very introverted way, she was strategic, she was actually really observing the situation and trying to figure things out, while "extroverts" where just bragging and talking about themselves not really paying attention
Not trynna be stereotypical here, but from experience usually girls with hijab i have interacted with tended to be more calm spoken and introverted. So i already had suspicion of her since the beginning to end
I think they mistaken what a introvert is. Being an introvert doesn’t mean you don’t enjoy talking to people because if anything meeting new people just seem like a wonderful thing to me, but I simply prefer to be alone in most chances unless it’s a special occasion. Otherwise you can catch me in my room or at the gym, some may say that isn’t introverted and some may classify me as ambivert but that’s how I see it.
I think introversion is just like a phone. Each one of us has a specific amount of battery social life that once it runs out, we’re pooped and basically have no depleted it all.
Exactly!! I'm an introvert and have worked many jobs that involve being on all day for other people, which I love, but then I need that alone time to recharge after work.
That's what i was thinking, too! I feel like they've mistaken introversion with being shy, low-self esteem, or social anxiety. There are many introverts who love people or are in managing positions, but then go home to re-charge. Like, I absolutely love people, love their energy. but other people's energy burns my meter too fast and so i need more alone time to recharge vs being social. Plus, i have been one to include people even though i am an introvert. But, i definitely am the type who practically never speaks. And kudos to the gym. I also don't see that as not being an introvert. There are introverts who go to the gym. They can still have their alone time with low-socialisation needed for being at the gym. For me personally, i haven't started going because of my anxiety. But i'll get there soon, hopefully this fall lol. I'm also really glad you brought up ambivert. I feel like they were missing that for this video. People forget that it can be a switch/spectrum sometimes for certain people.
"I'm an actor, we HAVE to be extroverts." Honestly, I'd say most actors are introverts. We're creative and expressive but we have to be in our head and focused on ourselves more than on other people.
My best friend is an introvert: she works in phone sales, loves acting, & hangs out with her friends almost every weekend. From my understanding, it’s how they are feeling & what they’re thinking. My best friend usually tells me that she definitely feels drained or wants to go home earlier. She gets a lot of social anxiety & needs some distraction when being in a group setting. She definitely gains energy when she’s alone & often has these random sparks of energy at night.
I guess that implies you are an actor yourself. Not also that but introverted as well. So I have to ask-- do you feel tired or drained after acting? Just wondering thanks.
The thing that people need to understand is that introverts aren't necessarily unsocial. There's a big difference between someone with social anxiety that fears and worries about social situations and an introvert. An introvert can do well in social situations but it makes them tired and they'd rather be alone while an extrovert needs to be in social situations because it's comfortable for them and replenishes their energy. That's how I see the difference tbh.
You’re 100% right on! I’m introverted but I like meeting new people and am not shy I just can’t typically be out as long as others without my energy being depleted and need time to recharge and be alone.
This is eyes opening, like I’m not anti social and I’m okay/having fun in social situation but I get extremely tired after a short period of time being around being.

That didn't surprise me. Filmmakers and people in the film industry, contrary to popular belief, tend to be pretty introverted because they also tend to be very artistic.

i've just seen on the internet that being around people like that is draining for introverts and now i understand why i take a nap everyday after school. I thought i was depressed or sum cause my soul litteraly leaves my body when i am back home but no i'm just an ambivert but more introvert.
I hate that introversion is falsely correlated with being anti-social. It's just that after I am done interacting with you.... I just need time to get away and recharge
💯
YES. EXACTLY. That's all it is and I hope people can better understand this
Exactly, I'm an extravert but I'm not social at all... also it's asocial👀
YES👏🏼👏🏼
Yes ! Totally.
If you seem interested to speak a lot, I will listen a lot lol
This got a little longer than I thought too XD maybe we can talk about this in length somewhere?
I relate 1000% to this. I love public speaking, big crazy parties or performing on a stage, but NEED my alone time afterwards.

It was strange that when they were talking about their jobs and they made it out like introverts couldn’t hold jobs that required lots of social interaction.

EXACTLY
Introverted also means that you lost energy when you talk to people
Its not only to be in your head
The thing that people need to understand is that introverts aren't necessarily unsocial. There's a big difference between someone with social anxiety that fears and worries about social situations and an introvert. An introvert can do well in social situations but it makes them tired and they'd rather be alone while an extrovert needs to be in social situations because it's comfortable for them and replenishes their energy. That's how I see the difference tbh.

Extrovert? Introvert? For as long as you are showing respect and being polite it doesn't really matter. People will love you because of your nice manners.
As a introvert, I would need to be tipsy to even carry a conversation with all these people 🤣 but honestly I wouldn’t even show up.. I’d just cancel plans like always
are you sure you are an introvert then? sounds like you just don’t like socialising with people, especially since you mentioned how you cancel plans frequently. introverts are fine with social interaction but just need time to recharge.
@@wolfzmusic9706 No. A big part of being an introvert is to not be fine with social interaction to bigger degrees.
@@Nekotaku_TV All the introverts here say they are fine with social interaction but they just need time to recharge, and they say that is literally it. Being an introvert just means needing time to recharge after hanging out with people.
@@wolfzmusic9706 but sometimes you aren’t charged up enough to hangout, so you cancel. You need more time to yourself before going back out again. Also a lot of people may be introverts and have social anxiety, so there’s that on top of it.
@@wolfzmusic9706 someone can be an introvert and something else at the same time
Like: introvert and antisocial; introvert and shy; introvert and anxious; etc
A person can literally be an introvert and an extrovert at the same time (an ambivert)
Yeah☺️
:V so, not all introverts are very ok with social interactions
And some of them r not ok with them at all
That didn't surprise me. Filmmakers and people in the film industry, contrary to popular belief, tend to be pretty introverted because they also tend to be very artistic.
Exactly and they do their job and leave
I‘m a photographer and work in a photo studio with 7 colleagues, we are all artistic (most of us like to make music or paint in our free time) and all of us are extroverts. I have many friends in the music scene as well and most of them are extroverted, too. So I wouldn‘t say artistic people = introverts. From my personal experience, the opposite is true but we probably should not generalise at all 😅
didn’t surprise me cause she looks like dr penguin
I am an artist and I AM NOT an introvert💀
@@viennabooks741 Exactly, to be honest it is 50/50. Not all artists are extrovert but not all of them are introvert either. This also comes from experience as I have met both.
I thought it was Alex- he said you have to be extroverted to be an actor. That’s totally not true. Many actors are completely different on stage than off. You meet them in real life and they’re shy, but on stage they seem so confident.
Yeah like Joaquin Phoenix
@David yes!!
also, as Ellie pointed out, his comment “I would totally ask for everyone’s number *if I were* an extrovert” seemed pretty sus 🧐
that is so true i know many actors who said they are introverts (millie bobby brown, elizabeth olsen...)
Being confident or shy has nothing to do with being introverted
This video just made me think that extroverts are horrible people.
I’ve never seen a group of strangers being so genuinely happy with each other and being so giddy. As a somewhat introvert it makes me happy that there’s people that extroverts can be with.
tbh, i expected the introvert to win. many people don’t realize that they just have a lower social battery. it doesn’t change the fact that they can mask that or anything
Easy formula:
“Hey guys, let’s do a TikTok dance!”
“YEAH!”
Introvert: dying inside
This wouldn't work because i am introvert but i love to dance. I don't know why people think introverts cannot be social. Introverts can interact in social situations but at the end of the day, when the extraverts are still socializing, introverts need to go home and recharge.
Me: run away screaming
Ugghh introverts can enjoy social activities... They can be just as social and energetic like extroverts they just need to recharge by themselves later
hahahhaha totally
Guys, my point is not that "introverts don't dance". My point is that Tiktok dances are very cringy (even for extroverts I'd say). Sorry if I hurt you someway :(
as an introvert with extreme social anxiety, this is an absolute NIGHTMAREE . even watching this is DRAININGG mee.(yall just made me 100% sure that im definitely an introvert )
the fact they voted off Ellie instead of Aliya tells me they don't know what they're talking about
RIGHT I WAS LIKE no way this has gotta be staged at this point
they voted she off because she was way too bubbly
@@Nikol-lu4so so she got voted off for being an extrovert? 😅
@@crystalreierson1053 they thought she was overacting trying to look like an extrovert
They're both extroverts though. Extroverts doesn't mean energetic all the time
Aliyah, Alaa and Alex are the kind of extrovert people I enjoy the most, they are welcoming, have great energy, don’t need to raise their voice to be noticed and integrate people into the conversation rather that owning the conversation. I am an introvert, I like socializing and sharing with people, but sometimes I feel drained, I feel that I’m left with no words, and I’ve noticed in tends to happen when I’m around people that can’t stop showing off, instead of radiating energy they consume it and outshine other people easily
Thank you so much 🫂 Sending you virtual hugs and really hope you find your people who respect your time on and time off. Hope you enjoyed the video!!
Agreed! I love hanging with ppl if we all included each other in the convos. Not just one person outshining themselves or being too loudd.
Alaa is so smart like she literally plans her questions and clears her thoughts thoroughly sheeeeeshh
Thank youuuu 🙈🙏🏻🙏🏻

When I first saw Elyssia’s cute pink outfit I immediately thought of her. She looks straight from a Melanie Martinez video and seems the kind of sweet girl who eats cupcakes and drinks tea in a library and gives you the best advice 💖💖💖
Zed really seems like the coolest dude, even though he’s an extrovert I feel like he’s the kind of person an introvert would feel comfortable around whereas the others made me feel like I wouldn’t be confortable at all around them as an introvert
thanks for the kind words, I appreciate you

Yes. Well said.
@OlxviaRodrxgofanluv-ch9wgI've tried to make sure every comment that mentions me gets a reply. I think of it kinda like waving to someone in public, you want them to wave back.
I’m surprised an introvert would even bother to do this 😭😭 I could never, I’d probably panic and say I’m sick last minute lol
this is not to say that introverts DON’T have the ability to be social. There are so many types of introverts, definitely
@@Rima42659 True there are so many different types of both introverts and extroverts. I would say I'm more of a social introvert, definitely love going out with my friends when I can. However I still classify as an introvert because socializing and being around groups of people (parties) is just so draining for me and I need time to recover - a movie night at home is a great night to me! 😁
it's the money for me
I’ll be thinking about that money 💵
I'm an introvert but I could do it and I think I'd maybe even win 😈🤑
How did they vote ellie out?! She is literally who I picture when I think of extrovert.... bubbly and high pitched voice lmao
thats exactly why. her and zed seemed too perfect of an extrovert so they seemed forced
She seems forced.
she was like acting and not comfortable
exactlyy. Im an introvert and there were a lot of very spontaneous comments she made to others that an introvert would usually not think of, and if they did, not have the guts to really say it.
and im so happy for the introvert 😭😭😭
As an introvert, I really love meeting new people and hearing their stories. It's just that I get drained easily. 😅
Same
Me too. And being socially awkward is very hard too.
I'm an INFJ, I can easily blend with other people and usually strangers that I met would easily share their secrets and stories lol when I socialize I think thoroughly haha. The thing with us introverts is that we feel drained after socializing for hours, so we need our alone time to recharge. Being with an extrovert is too much for me, lol.
Yo same, I'm also an INFJ and can easily blend in with others. I like to put it that we introverts just don't like overstimulating environments.
Yes, im also an INFJ and most days when I come home from school I just want to be quiet after a day of socialising and my mum sometimes takes it as me being in a bad mood 😒.
@@marinaceferino316 yes same - infj
I also am an INFJ and a recent psychology graduate, you'd be shocked how many secrets strangers blurt out to me on the daily and I blend in just like you said. Actually when I asked a friend what does he think my MBTI type is he surely said an Extrovert.
I feel the same way as an ISFJ!
As an introvert, it was very obvious. The lady who said “she keeps pointing out what she does for other people, not herself” was spot on!
Loved Zed! Such an angel. Sincerely, an introvert.
Thank you❤
They make being introverted seem like you're just this weird closed off person that is always home and lives alone and works online😅I'm an introvert and sometimes i enjoy being around people.
"this is gonna buy so many books" felt that.
same 😂😂
lmao same
As an introvert, that was so obvious. She was constantly avoiding eye contact, had her hands behind her back (could’ve been playing with her fingers to distract her nervousness) and was literally swaying from side to side whilst everyone else was stood dead still !!
No, Alex also kept fideling and moving. I highly suspected him
as an introvert i thought it was alex. he barely spoke. every time he spoke he was nervous and awkward. and the most out going thing he has done was when he was drunk lol.
That's not what an intro is
yup, knew it from the beginning. I definitely saw myself on her. Im an introvert too.
Now that you brought that up, I do, do that all the time..
I was expecting somebody to say “i am extroverted” 😂
