I was born in Truth or Consequences, NM, 77 years ago. I make the traditional green and red NM chili dishes as taught to me by my mother and grandmother. I just found you on RUclips and I appreciate your enthusiasm. Wanting to learn new/old dishes, I follow along with your cooking. My only complaint is that I can barely hear you as you are describing your methods. Please invest in a microphone so we can hear you. Also, you do not list the ingredients on your page.

Hi Margaret. I haven’t made sweet rice. I’m so afraid it won’t taste like my mama’s. After watching your video I will try it. Thank you. This is the way my mom made it except used sugar. 😊

    Hi Margaret
I noticed that you didn't rinse the rice before you cooked it, I do that to remove the starch, as a diabetic it's important to remove as much starch as possible because it turns to sugar.
You sweet rice looks so good.

Did your mother use powder cinnamon or real whole cinnamon sticks?
Also did she add a pinch of salt? More delicious!!

Margaret, I barely saw this video 7 month's later 🤔🤔
I was thinking that when I make sweet rice, I rinse it twice to remove the starch, I noticed you didn't
