To prepare
signature stamps,
watercolor palettes(water-soluble material),
2 round brushes(1 for black and 1 for color),
a plate for ink, thin Korean papers (It can be replaced with other thin paper that spreads well), a used waste paper, a pressing stone (something that you can press to keep your paper from moving.), etc.
‘Sagunja’ is a Korean word that symbolizes four plants; plum, orchid, chrysanthemum, and bamboo, and is an important material of oriental art.
Orchids spread the subtle fragrance even in the deep mountains.
At first, I started out with curiosity.
I drew every day, even for a very short time.
But as time goes by, painting every day is not easy.
It's been decades since I've been painting.
Now, brushes are like arms and legs to me.
In contemporary art, one's own expression has become more important than technique.
Making a habit is like having a body extension tool that gives you more freedom of expression.
Be patient, continue at your own pace as if a baby learn to walk. If you fall, get up.
