  • 'Sumukdamchaehwa' is a traditional Korean ink painting technique painted through the brightness of ink, called 'Muk.' It is similar to a watercolor painting. But it is drawn with one brush without repeating.
In Asian cultures, black and white, which were not regarded as a color in the West, were recognized as colors. If you need a new meditation method, I recommend you try this art.
    -----------------------------------------------------------
STEP1. Adjust the concentration of ink 1: Expressing petals with ink
Wipe the water off the brush.
Because if there is a lot of water, It smears too much, and the color change is not felt.
And I put a little dark ink on the tip of the brush.
Stand up a brush and draw on the non-food side.
Depending on the brush's position, the volume of flowers is naturally expressed due to the ink of different colors.
The wider petals bloom toward the front. And the narrower thing seems to have spread out from the side.
STEP2. Adjust the concentration of ink 2: Expressing near and far flowers
Lightly apply dark ink to the tip of the brush.
If the brush is wet, wipe it off to find the consistency you like.
It is a flower that is very far away.
Flowers that are a little closer are expressed by mixing a little darker edible.
STEP3. Flower stalk drawing: Practice expressing flowers on stalks
There are many kinds of orchids.
Because of its graceful appearance, it was considered a plant of nobles in the East.
Leaves and stems are as delicate as ballet moves, and at the same time, they feel powerful.
So you can express it in one stroke and one point.
The charm of Oriental painting is that it can never redraw the same flower.
STEP4. Details of flower: Pistil and stamen
If you express veins or stamens, the flower feels more delicate.
I lightly painted the petals to make the pistil and pistil stand out.
    I expressed them in dots.
