  • There is no right answer to how to hold a brush, but the most Classic grip method in Asian painting is similar to handling a pen or watercolor brush.
Lean against your middle finger and hold the brush lightly with your index and thumb.
The important thing here is to hold it lightly, not too tightly. That way, you can handle the brush more freely as it doesn't put pressure on your hand.
Tilt a little in the direction of movement, grab the brush, and draw the picture using the arm's workout, feeling like dragging.
Instead of following the brush, I move with the feeling of guiding.
This technique is called Jungbong in Korean. And pushing the brush is called 'Pabong.’
The more you get used to holding the brush correctly and drawing with your arms, the easier it will control it.
Drawing a picture is a difficult task that many people hope for.
I think the biggest reason why many people want to paint but cannot practice is that they try to draw well.
When we aim to write books while taking notes freely, we are afraid even to start.
I want to we can draw like we take notes.
I hope many people can paint freely to express themselves, and I wish art to be a part of the language.
Practice in your own fun way
    --------------------------------------------------------
"Sumugdamchaehwa" is a traditional Korean ink painting technique drawn through the brightness of ink called "Mug." It is similar to watercolor, but it is drawn with one brush without repeated brushing.
In Asian culture, black and white, which were not regarded as colors in the West, were perceived as colors. If you need a new method of meditation, I recommend you try this painting technique.
