Its the different addons that make FSX look as good as this. The basic program is just a platform to build on. BUT! It is a frustrating and expensive journey!
I'm pretty sure prepar3d is a subscription, while FSX is only a one time payment, so that's why I stick with FSX.

No its a professionel Flight sim called P3d You would need a pilot licence wich im guessing you dont have and 2299 Dollars for the full version
I do have a pilot licence, and I didn't watch the full video the first time. Upon watching it a second time it clearly is a simulator. Not as good as the full motion one we have at work however....

I can't Believe This is a simulator, i am a pilot of a 737ng and This is 99% realistic. Good approach and landing btw! You will have a Good type Rating if you wanna be a pilot.
I also fly the NG as was thinking the same thing... I had to double check that it wasn't real.

Anyone else think he was a bit low on landing?
Yes I thought so too. If you look at the visual approach slope indicator in the left side it shows 1 white and 3 red lights which means too low. Should be 2 whites and 2 reds.
approaching minimums means that he is 100 feet above the decision altitude. it doesn't mean that he's necessarily low to the ground, as that's the job of the terrain callout.

No. It’s the pilots decision whether he flys low or high on approach. When over the thereshold you should be at 50 ft. So he does everything correctly, no too low.

Good grief! There are many 'real as it gets' FS videos out there, but this one is in a different league. Absolutely breathtaking, I am going to have to start thinking seriously about moving over to P3D.

What are your settings in P3d (specially User-Defined Weather-settings) for this amazing weather?
All the extra effects are actually added into the game, so don't get too mad. He or She added a combination of effects, add-ons and other things (added to Prepar3D v4.1 - 64bit) that make this video seem more real.
What kills it is aliasing on the wing and some poor resolution textures. Other than that, it looks nice. I do feel that the scenery took a long time to load, tho.

You have the same setup as my first PC. The 3770k is quite a powerful CPU, and 960 is a great card for handling a lot of different content. I finally upgraded this summer to a typical 7700k/1080 setup.
Imagine this with an RTX 2080 Ti...

look at his previous videos in fsx, and watch froogle play some p3d, it doesn't look like this and is quite rich in color

This was stunning. The only thing I noticed that knocked the score from a perfect ten to about a 9.7 is just before you get to the the airport and runway, the scenery outside the airport 4:26 looks very unrealistic and not right. Go there and you'll see what i mean, but that is just a small, insignificant moment in what was a stellar video.
it looks ok. after seeing photorealistic imagery i can really tell the difference. the ground texture when landing is poor and the water on approach did not look real either.
Sometimes I think designers make the visuals look TOO good and they end up looking weird like water.

is your pc good? its not so easy as u may think . i have a rly good one and this is too good for me also it will neverlooks like this video cuz he edit the video in the end ;D so if u rly want your fs like this u have to pay 300 -500$ for addons and a pc like that have to kost 1500-2000$ Orbx just ad new groundtextures but u have orbx for every land in the world so if u want them for all europe u have to pay 100- 200 ;D

What kills simulation in my opinion is the head shaking simulation. The intention is good and makes sense, but the result is terrible, very artificial, IMO. The developers of this kind of feature should keep in mind that, unless you're immersed and actually feel the physical forces of the plane shaking, you just don't feel anything but annoyance watching it working. To even simulate a camcorder through a window is artificial. And the purpose?
As ineffective as that function on TVs that, when the scene is dark, the LEDs get darker to simulate better black, as if in real life we changed between bright and dark environments as much and as often as in 2-hour movie. Also those handheld camera actions in movies, with very few exceptions, don't work well. Well, that's my opinion. If this is a very common part of simulation, maybe that's because most people like it.
The scenery simulation got perfect as the plane reached the airport. Very good indeed.

FYI: There are a ton of payware addons stacked on this video for all of you debating between X Plane, Prep3D or just sticking with FSX. Which the 737 alone comes with a hefty price tag.

No problem! No i dont, that is edited he just putted some sound effects of the crew in the video. prepar3D is the most realistic locking flight simulator in my opinion and i am dreaming to be a pilot i mean like flying cessna but people are saying that is too expensive so i just play this simulator

Is this the most realistic simulator at the moment in terms of graphics? So much room for improvement in those graphics!!!: textures, modeling and color /shadowing of the cabin, width and refraction of light in windows, terrain textures, no life anywhere (where are the moving vehicles in both sea and land and airport, where's the people?), the sea is uniform both in color and shape and dull... I would expect so much more from a modern game working on a high-end PC. Yes, the clouds are volumetric and the wings look realistic... I'll give you that. Dull.

Lighting in prepar even in this weather is still subpar, and you can really see it's a simulation as you get closer to terrain. The most realistic part of this video is probably sound
