@luxurylifela2068 Some have trashed their rentals and are now blacklisted. They'll never get another private rental. They are given chance after chance on the promise to do better. Imagine having your property destroyed by tenants?
Not.
@@luxurylifela2068 The "homeless" of yesteryear is NOT the same as the homeless today, don't get it twisted. These people aren't out there because they "fell on hard times" or involuntarily lost their job. They're out there because this is now a lifestyle. Unless you witness these people and the way the think/live on a regular basis like I do, You might still believe they are there "through no fault of their own". Things are hugely different now. These people ABSOLUTELY choose to live this way.
My old friend from highschool is calling all our old pals looking for a place to stay. He's homeless. And he 100% deserves it.
Dude has taken advantage of, and in some cases attacked, anyone who's given him a place to stay. He stayed with me for a week or two, and then when I asked him for like $100 for rent (this was stimulus package era so he definitely had it), dude threatened me with a taser lol.
I know this is just personal vitriol, but I've known more than a few homeless people, and while I feel bad their circumstance, I know for a fact they'd rob me blind and never think twice about it. No amount of martyring myself will make them want to be better.
Those tents on the sidewalk are unfortunately dangerous I’ve almost gotten run over because I have to walk on the street to get around just like a gentleman mentioned as well. There is also a lot of weird stuff happening in those tents. I personally don’t like to shop or stay anywhere where there’s tents just because of the increase risk of danger it just moved to the area and I’m still getting used to all the streets that are blocked off by tents that I cannot use. The government should’ve done more a long time ago to help these people out what have they done with the millions of dollars given to them to fix these issues? I see no progress.
Love it they look wonderful too 😊
This won’t stop anything!
Good for the businesses. These homeless don't have the right to camp wherever they want.
Nonprofits and their crooked lawyers are being audited. You can tell the young guy they interviewed is an activist. People like him should be made financially responsible for the homeless who refuse service and want to live like this because they do not want to follow rules or the law.
I think that’s fair. Life is still occupying the space. It’s just a life that brings more positivity than what was once there.
That’s very insensitive. The homeless need help, not to be shooed away. That’s not the solution.
@@ES11777 they are not my problem, I didn’t make them homeless your liberal policies did. You deal with them
@@hera7884 I don’t support ‘liberal policies’.
Who wants to bunk down on the main drag? When I was a teen, hitchhiking all across Canada & the US, I would never choose to bunk down in the open. It’s dangerous & noisy. I was lucky to experience the kindness of strangers a great deal of the time, probably because I looked like a lost kitten tho.
The homeless can have rights when they work for them like the rest of us
Yea well maybe your family doesnt need their $600 food stamp card. Or state child support check, or free medical, or state funded disability. Edd. Also extended credit.
My cousin owes $300k from school and still lives with his parents. Ive never had shxt except waking up outside going to work.
Every a whole thats talked that crap to me ends up begging for forgiveness.
Businesses just trying to come up with solutions cause the government wont.
This type of reporting makes 100% sense when you look into who owns all the media outlets
And the reporter just ratted em out to the mayor
Great idea 💡👍
People gotta start being more aggressive, since the politicians and the homeless themselves aren't trying to fix anything.
The city will have them removed in no time...faster than homeless encampments...😑
Wow, great, outdoor toilets. How thoughtful.
Cactus 🌵 as well. Low maintenance 🧑🔧
The democrats in charge allowed this problem to get out of hand and empowered these homeless drug addicts. People now have to be creative to solve the problem and protect their business.
Good to see these folks stepping up for themselves. The city refuses to get off their butts and do their job, so it’s up to the citizenry..
If the municipal government can't take care of the vagrants, then folks who own businesses will have to do what they can.
Those planters would created more mess if the homeless tip all those planters over and spill the sand all over on the street & sidewalk. 😪
Im sorry are we supposed to pretend and live in a fairytale when Taylor Swift comes around? 🤣
She has been there. Lots of famous records have been recorded there. She said she didn’t want to come back because of the homeless people. If I’m not mistaken, the last time she was there homeless people accosted her.
It’s legendary.
@@natashanyxx9486 Oh good maybe she won't come back to America then! 😊
Just put sprinkler system. someone to clean the streets daily.
Great idea 👍👍👍
hope they plant some veggies an such an share 😊😋
the cactus are just serving as scarecrows🌵
Those planters will be removed by the city probably. Permits are needed for everything. The city may not have problem with it. After you've PAID the city to be allowed to do it. 😊
This is sad too here. Greedy rental prices
No.
So true that's why so many homeless it's too expensive
@@gooser__43yes
My landlord just increased my already high rent.
No…these people are on hard drugs. The amount of money that they have to earn to support their habit is enough to fund a rental at any price, but they spend it all on drugs. There is such a thing as roommates to help with rent.
As long as the city allows street camping, nothing will change.
Stop enabling homeless. Some are truly homeless and need that help. Others are just riding the train.
So it wasn't to give the ppl a place to grow food in.
this is what kim kardashian should be working on - homelessness in LA…instead of focusing in prison reforms
Send thank you cards to FJB
Brazil acts the same!
My son visited SF for work. He and a colleague walked through the tenderloin, where they had to dodge people, animal feces, and human feces. Less than half a mile away, they walked into an area with mini-mansions. California is all kinds of ways effed up.
It's really sad that no city can seem to fix the real issue which is getting people homes. I know some do drugs and are irresponsible but there are others that I'm sure would love the chance to get affordable housing. These cities are doing everything except fixing the real root cause issue which is getting people housing. What these planters are doing is the same as a dirty mop moving dirty water around. You're not really cleaning aka fixing anything just moving the issue around.
Texas praying for all.
If your going to live outside, California would be the place to do it
It looks better and now it’s actually walkable for pedestrians.
Love the idea ❤
Good job
They’ll be using those as toilets soon enough.
hollywood is the most creative town they always have the best ideas they always come up with all the greatest best ideas such an amazing place where all the greatest ideas are from
I think what you meant was, hollywierd will always have some sneaky backhand fix. Lol
He’s even afraid to admit they’re displacing people.
Displacing them where, down the street?
@@Psilo-gn1sx
Sorry, I didn’t know you side with the homeless squatters.
@@992001jeffr I'm not. I thought you were, lol
They're homeless. They are already displaced.
They have already reached 100% displacement, they can't be displaced any further.
They’ll be 💩ing in the flower beds…guaranteed
2:21 that guy is a fence sitter. I don’t like fence sitters.
Overhead sprinklers can sometimes help keep things clean
Mean while The Pos governor and mayor living it up
This is brilliant because there was just a man in Callie that was facing a lawsuit because he was blaring music 24 seven at the homeless. This way you can’t face any legal repercussions because you literally can just say I’m doing it to make it look nice
There must be somewhere that can be setup for them to go to sleep safely?
Good for them! There are 49 other states, hundreds of thousands of other cities and millions of open jobs.
So the store owner is blocking public sidewalks? Does he have a permit for that?
Already saw this awhile back and the cities harassment of the business owners because there’s just not quite enough space for the homeless to set up there
Didn't some lady did this in her city and she was told to remove due to city violations?
Just say it isn't yours and see the city in court.
Will probably happen with these also since they weren't preapproved
In San Francisco.
You get the government you vote for.
We need stop being "PC" and just say it like it is. You're doing this because the people who you're paying your taxes with is not doing their job.
And that guy who said " I don't know what this is but it cleared out the sidewalk" just stop.
Just say you're glad that this is being done because those people who y'all voted for is not doing their job.
That's how all this crap started is when we all stopped being direct and started talking "pc" .
I think it looks nice.
They can detox in the military!
wow they can't rely on the cities they pay taxes to as business owners to help them, they had to help themselves. I have a lot of respect for these business owners, I hope this works.
Homeless litter boxes
These are just going to be litter boxes for hobos.
