The lack of empathy is astounding.
Yeah, their incredibly abrasive take on this speaks volumes about Fox 11. This is my first impression of LA's reporting and it seems like they are very Anti-American. Is all LA reporting on the homeless this disgusting?

The administration has to do a better job with our veteran population/ the effort has to be reciprocated from the veteran population as well.. I have seen first hand how veterans act when they are getting all of their desires given to them and it’s reprehensible… There is so much funding available to assist the veteran population.. Some work the program and successful attain their erstwhile desires and then there are those whom let their addictions control them and it’s so very sad…

He's also extremely talented at working on people's bikes without their permission. I live in that area. I had my high-end racing bike stolen so I put up flyers all over the neighborhood. The eatery across the street called me saying that they saw him with my bike. I met the police there. I was so lucky that I got it back before he stripped it apart. It took me 2 years to save up for that bike! He also had 11 other expensive bikes stuffed in that "house".

You live on the streets, especially as a vet, because you CHOOSE to. The US government used to actually do that .Should start it back up.
The VA actually does find services and housing for you. If you are on low to no income while in the military, the VA offers you free housing and a federal job to get you on your feet, the housing is temporary until a nearby military installation has housing available or whenever you feel ready to take a VA house loan. The only rules you must follow while spieling with the VA is that you must not be on any form of federal illegal drugs or prescriptions. Normal homeless housing is terrible and is worse than living on the streets, VA homelessness housing is a lot better and actually treats you as a human being.

This is a story about a man defying the odds on His terms. A veteran, homeless but he is using his wits to survive in his own fashion. It may be a bit obscure but you take this man and spit in his face because he hasn’t surrendered to your way of life. Shame shame.
While you are sitting cozy in your home keep in mind that though your laws books of this new world mandate your living this land actually belongs to our First Nations people. That’s beside the point but you should have admiration towards his will to survive and the fact he has become a picture of how to survive homelessness.
For those of you who are gearing up to counter my comment here, before ya do, go live as a homeless person for 2 weeks to 30 days. See what that world really entails. And if you aren’t willing to do so then you have no place to clap back as we are Not the same.

The problem with the USA, is that there is no housing for the poor, not everyone can rent or pay a mortgage. In other countries there’s housing for the poor. A room is rented on the rooftop or small apartments are rented at a low price but here in USA THE RED TAPE THE REGULATIONS THE TAXES AND JUST GREED DOESN’T ALLOW FOR POOR LIVING IN A DECENT CITY OR TOWN.
God, that female reporter is vile. You can hear the disgust and judgement in her voice. This guy seems so positive and like he has the potential to be a real asset to society. Situations like these are why I wish I was a millionaire 🤣 - I’d find him and pay for his schooling to be an engineer in a heartbeat.

It literally makes me physically ill to see a homeless veteran..( I feel empathy for all homeless..don't get me wrong) but to see our sisters and brothers who have literally given themselves for this country have to be without really breaks my spirit. Don't get me started on the treatment or lack therefore from some of the staff who works for the VA facilities. Not all of them, but I know Veterans who have had terrible experiences and I have personally witnessed rude/disrespectful staff. 💔😩🙏🏾

That's was out of line I've seen this man plenty of times on RUclips and not one of the other ppl that stopped to ask him questions said anything about call the cops they thought it was neat that he made a shelter for himself. So messed up of the reporting crew. Seems they don't like the fact he isn't hurting anyone by just surviving.

I think building structures like this to live in should be legal. Land that is undeveloped shouldn't be able to be held in perpituity. There is a difference between land and property.

The female reporter kept trying to exploit the gentleman asking about the usage of the city's electricity. The male reporter kept ignoring her, then finally answered her by saying no. Great job and good luck to this gentleman. He's no longer homeless.

Notice that a lot with women reporters. The men will usually sort of defend eachother unconsciously in certain situations where women are trying to unnecessarily vilify men
The lack of compassion and ignorance is astounding. This man served his country. He provides for himself by fixing bikes and scooters. He's not blocking the walkway. He respectful and polite. There were people who were ok with him being there. Those anchors go to their homes at night blessed with all those things and yes they earn a salary because of news reports such as this. They believe they are paid what they are worth because of their experience, knowledge and skills. Why isn't that same monetary value placed on our veterans with their knowledge, expertise, experience and skills. There is no monetary value high enough for someone risking their lives for their country and it's freedoms, something those anchors wouldn't have if individuals like this gentleman hadn't served.

Fox News the Freedom Warriors upset that local man is living freely. If anyone gave this man a small house and garage in a livable neighborhood he'd be a business owner in no time and I think everyone else in this segment is jealous of that kind of drive.
