Normal people is one I’ll never get over. What a truly phenomenal show with such an impressive cast. Very few things have made me feel as many feelings as that show did. I’m happy to hear that he’s so proud of it - as he should be!
AN ICON AND A LEGEND. His quick raise to stardom is so well deserved, I love it when kind and hard-working people get to make their dreams come true and share their talents with us all
I was a recently divorced father with a young daughter when "Aftersun" came out and when I saw it, it absolutely broke me. When my friends asked me how do I feel I just told them to go watch Aftersun, since it is 100% how I felt at the time. Incredible film, and a very talented actor!
Aftersun and All of Us Strangers have an eerie heartbreaking similarity, both offer a take on childhood memory, the depths, pain, and fragility? of a parent-child relationship. The relationship between both films and Mescals portrayal of both characters is so magnificent to me, I need someone to study and write a paper on it lol
I love his choice of projects but also love hearing him so eloquently talk about acting, filmmaking and... well life. You cannot not love Paul Mescal ❤
Nobody could have played the roles better than Paul and Daisy! I think the casting and the chemistry were entirely quintessential to the success of the show!
he's just this kind of person who obviously cares very deeply about his job and the characters he plays and still seems so awestruck by the other actors he is surrounded with, and i think that just makes him very charming and a person you want to know, because you can sense his kindness in the way he speaks and holds himself
He is so articulate and clearly deeply connected to and understanding of his craft. I am so glad we’re living at a time where there are so many future projects of his to come!
I was pregnant when I first watched Normal People and cried for almost an hour after the last episode. I was so attached to Marianne and Connell. So much so, when I had thought about the last scene a week later, I sobbed for another hour. Thank you, Paul. This was my Roman Empire!
He deserved the Oscar for Aftersun. The most heart breaking and real depiction of depression I’ve ever seen. So understated and raw. Phenomenal performance. I still think about it regularly.
Normal People, what a rollercoaster !!! The cast, the script, I mean... it's phenomenal ! I still think about it today. I wish Paul and Daisy all the best. They're truly gifted ^^
Aftersun is my favorite film of all time at the moment, and Normal People one of my favorite television shows. I also adored All of Us Strangers. As an actor myself, Paul is my biggest influence at the moment. Just elated for Gladiator II.
When you find out what happened to his character in All of Us Strangers, it’s pretty devastating. I think I sobbed through the entire second half of that movie. When they show you his reality at the end and then go back to fantasy and Andrew is just holding him, It’s like a stab in the heart.

Normal people is a very well written and directed show. But Paul mescal's acting elevated that show to another level

Couldn't agree more! Paul deserves all the recognition in the world, but Daisy was absolutely outstanding in that too!
Acting was phenomenal across the board

Fun fact: I was on a podcast with my buddies covering/reviewing Aftersun, and Frankie Corrio’s mom retweeted and shared our review/episode 🎉😊
His list are also my favorite pieces in recent years.

I can't wait for the History of Sound!
I read the book and liked it, but let's be real, there's no falling in love with Normal People without Paul and Daisy playing Connell and Marianne.
What a wonderful interview. Paul Mescal is a gem. I look forward to watching more of him in the coming years.
I really liked him in All of Us Strangers
Paul Mescal for James Bond!
Oh snap! Didn’t think of that until you said it 🧐but yh he could be a great bond 🤔
The first thing I saw Paul in was a play as part of an arts festival, it was Midsummer nights dream. Great outdoor production. It was about 6/7 years.
I think Aftersun and All of us strangers are his best films

A someone that went to secondary school in Ireland normal people hit me to the core
Paul Mescal is the best actor of his generation already.
Low-key we need a buddy cop film (ala The Nice Guys) with Paul and Josh O' Connor. Two of the great ones in recent years.
Aftersun is a film making masterclass, the more films like that, the better
Aftersun broke my heart
Normal People is the best show for me. Everything was beautiful.
Aftersun messed me
nothing better than GQ kino on a tuesday evening

Aftersun
this is so important to me
Strangers is a very different book than what All of us Strangers offers as a film.
Absolutely loved All of us Strangers though.
What a beautiful pitch for gladiator ii’s relevance
