What Buchla did is exactly how Superbooth started. A super, erm, booth, inside a bigger tradeshow, having smaller manufacturers gather together. That why it’s even called freakin’ Superbooth. Thanks for another of these, love watching them.
So good to see you doing so much for the scene. Been here since the early Surface videos. I applaud you and hope to make my way to future events, in support!
Nice mention of Bastl! I have the Softpop2 which is quite an interesting semimodular arpegiator/sequencer and I find it's equally useful and unique. I have used it on many tracks. 🤘👽🛸🎶 Great channel! Keep it up.
Glad I watched this reminded me of Synth East I missed last year but got Saturday day and evening performance tickets Going with my son who knows nothing about synths apart from the fact that his dad has spent a small fortune on them looking forward to meeting one of my favourite you tube content creators 👍
Very nicely shot. Are you officially an ADDAC video maker? I assumed you were otherwise i would have credited you onscreen - sorry about that, I do try to. ruclips.net/user/danielegiannattasio
@@MoltenMusicTech Nooo no worries! Thanks Robin but there's absolutely no need to credit me, I was just surprised to see that! :D By the way no, I'm not affiliated with any brand.
Really looking for some help on this Behringer MS-1/MS-101 ( I have the 1). The EXT AUDIO type of input. Behringer has been no help! Need to know if my unit is not working.
@@MoltenMusicTech 1st thanks for even responding! Putting a line level input to the EXT AUDIO input but it has no effect. Is the input a 2 wire or 3 wire ( Instrument or Hedadphone)? Then, what controls actually effect the sound?
There's an input on the back and a level control in the Source Mixer next to the noise. It should be line level. It mixes straight into the filter just like the noise generator. That's it - shouldn't be any more complex. Just make sure you have the level up and the filter cutoff up. I would assume it's mono because the signal path inside the MS-1 is mono - but the quick start guide suggests it's stereo as it uses the same plug illustration as the headphones and line level output - but Behringer are not particulatly accurate on these things. But a stereo jack should also work as it also contains what a mono jack needs to work. I would try it but i dont have it wired in at the moment. Try asking on one of the MS-1 facebook groups. Cheers.
Your rundown showed way more than I saw anyone else talk about. I feel like it was never setup in a way that was optimal to be seen in the way the synth culture gets to see it now though is point.@@MoltenMusicTech
Why does everyone keep calling it Musonics etc, when the Vanilla synth has MooSonics written all over it (literally - it’s written on every panel, lol).
11:35 or the free Fullbucket Music FB-3300 which also are excellently mediocre sounding as Cherrys and the Korgs original. The PS-3300 is a synth you want to have not for how it sounds but for its fantastic looks.
Great work Robin! I don't know how you do it, but your videos about 'gear' always inspire me to have fun with what I have rather than to buy something new. Or, if any potential sponsors are reading this: I buy everything you say is great; always. More moderately, it is good to know what is out there but I'm not in any rush to buy stuff. You help me to think about what would really work for me.
Nope. The sonicstate video with Pete Brown wasn’t around at the time I made this. Not sure it tells us anything other than hinting at the same potential it’s been hinting at for half a decade.

Yes, this is true, I remember the Super-booth at Frankfurt Musikmesse
During this episode I’ve been looking outside for reversing trucks several times😂 Those beeps are perfectly mixed in.

You need to sample that truck reversing sound and do something far more musical with it :)
Thx for dropping Robin, brightened my day today! Cheers!

The construction vehicles really elevated this avant-garde spoken word composition. Add more roosters and it'll be a classic! 😅
Korg also updated Gadget right before NAMM so they really dropped a lot of work out at once. This must of been a massive investment.
You can see why DIY kits are such a niche niche market… If it takes Robin over 3 years… there’s little hope for the rest of us .
Can't believe my hand made it to Molten Music Monthly! Thanks :)

Ok cool, well, nice videos and that Swell thing is really interesting.
@@MoltenMusicTech thanks! Yes, very interesting concept!
You’re not kidding about that Seqtrack…Those visuals….Who wants to listen to our music on SoundCloud anymore vs w the visualyzer…

King Korg is literally correct as they seem to have stolen Uli's crown for the most prolific hardware producer of the moment.
Thanks for the updates.
That Vanilla Synth sounded great … Am I right in thinking it’s a SEM 2-Voice ‘clone’ … ? 🤔
NAMM is really a trade show. it was mainly to court retailers, recording, and film studios
Yes, it’s always been a trade show, but one where traditionally companies have released new products. Not so much these days.

I definitely need 3 friends to share (the cost) of the Korg PS-3300 😎
modulate the gamechanger mod pedals with tape loops

musonics - moosonics - how is it different? How did i say it?
I was going to do so many things.
Yamaha Seqtrak = form factor i can keep on my desk at work and no one would know its a music device.
Dirtywave m8 is the ultimate work stealth groovebox imo :)

Reversing truck sounds has to be among the most annoying ,together with luggage rollers of course
Nothing about midi 2.0?
