If only your baker had put as much work into his baguette as you did in just one beat pattern... that bread looks pretty disgusting! Bisous from Paris!
Ugh... This makes me feel old, and also sad. You youngin's don't really get any seminal sounds anymore by actual artists. Now it's all algorithms or something produced in Switzerland for the masses. Much less creative freedom!

I have a strong feel that piano parts and a lot of harmonies was predominantly written by Chilly Gonzales, so if you’d like some sorta similar feel I’d check his work he’s also a really funny guy.
Miss Pikant absolutely slayed on this video. A masterclass in Daft Punk and one of the best produced music instruction videos on all of RUclips. A tremendous accomplishment. Magnifique!
I agree, this channel needs so much more exposure, so many people would be riveted to these videos if they could find them. Hope the RUclips algorithm does its work.
As a daft punk fan, this is the best video i've seen ever from the guys. Absolutely in love with the video dynamic, the styling, and all of the details that you put in. Keep going!
Worth the wait. Staggering work. If only I'd had access to this kind of education when I was young, delivered tastefully and stylishly, with charm and humour. Bravo.

Da Funk is definitely one of my all time favourite tracks (I remember the music video so well, that poor dog). The fact that it was what Daft Punk came out of the gates with is something else. The two of you are incredibly talented to do this. Not only the extreme dissecting of the tracks to uncover the elements and patterns but also the flawless playing of the musical elements! Hats off.
I absolutely have tears of joy in my eyes. Daft punk came into my life at exactly the right time, so long ago. I cannot thank you enough, Captain and the Intern. ❤️
If this videos would have been available when I was 17 and just getting into digital production... Thanks a lot Captain Pikant! You guys are a treasure in this world ❤️
This is a masterpiece. I adore the humor and the videography, but most of all how you can break the tracks down to the point they feel almost obvious without diminishing the appreciation for the complexity and genius it took to compose them. Also, that sandwich looked (and sounded) delicious!
Yes, my first encounter with Daft Punk was also Around the World and I can clearly remember as I stood in the room, mesmerized, staring at the screen and couldn't believe what I saw. It was amazing and I quickly learned the bands name with it. You recreated the songs but I still don't know what makes them good. They are just good. Still good after all these years.
Another outstanding production from the best hands on RUclips. So well done and informative, that I'll be signing up to your Patreon to help keep this awesome channel going.

Wow I love how much you cared about the details, it is one of the things that makes their music so great! Thanks so much for your work and for sharing some of Daft Punks secrets
All right, I gotta be honest, I totally did not see the aerodynamic solo coming - but it's a beautiful rendition! Good lord, it made me weak, before I could even wake up from my stupor that you guys didn't go for a guitar, as would have been obvious. Magnificient!
for the past month, once in a while, I am thinking when Captain will release the next video. Today is a treat for me. I love daft punk and the quality of the video is totally worth the treat. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the Revolution 909 explanation, I figured out everything for the song except that “twang” noise I called it that was on the 2nd and 4th down beat, just assumed it was some other data file sample, never would’ve guessed it was also the same sample, amazing video!
My goodness, what an incredible video I know it's going to be quite a while, but I'm excited for part 2! Also, the sandwich was just hilarious. I hope it was delicious, at least as tasty as that beat.
great video, thank you very much! As someone who has been quite deep into the house and techno scene since the early 90s, I can only underline what an important album "Homework" was. Even though "Around the World" was a pretty mainstream track, the rest of the album is completely unknown to most people - the tracks on this record were simply too experimental and crazy. In the scene, however, "Homework" was a milestone, an earthquake, a comet impact! The tracks were incredibly clean and high-quality production for the time, they were creative, excellently composed and extremely danceable and catchy. One of the best and most important albums in the history of electronic music - and what's more, it's also the first album by the two of them. After that everything just sounded different - every producer of electronic music suddenly valued the quality of the production. Previously this was only optional, as long as it at least made a good bang. To this day, tracks like "Rock'n'Roll" are absolutely banger and timelessly beautiful. When DaftPunk went mainstream with their second album, they were actually dead to the "real" techno scene. No matter how elaborately "Discovery" was produced, real techoheads found this music too silly. But for “Homework,” DaftPunk will always be loved and deeply respected.

my favorite part about them is they went from this to producing a symphonic orchestra for Tron in their careers.
