@@truthwitness8579 You probably googled him already. He was in Snarky (not Skinny) Puppy. A niche jazz improve kind of band. I was only aware of them from my South African friend in Atlanta. She liked that kind of Ess Aich Eye Tee. I was like, "that's just a bunch of random notes." But I guess Claudio knew who they were! :)
I started playing this video thinking "ok, I'm gonna have to watch it in multiple parts". 56 minutes later I was disappointed it ended. Absolutely amazing.
Cory Henry and Doctor Mix in the same video? We viewers are truly blessed today. Thanks Claudio for giving us top tier content. And to all the hard work. Respect 👊
An honor to meet you and a pleasure to hear you play the C15. The way you interact with dynamics and controller modulations are so fantastically musical and exactly what I try to build in all my sounds. Very satisfying to hear a great musician play a great instrument !!
Okay, so I'm 62 years old, can't play a note, broke as a joke, I watch this, an' I'm thinking, "I'm gonna buy a synthesizer" hahaha, this was so cool, loved it, thanks!
For the younger part of the audience or those who may not know, the gentleman shown at 8:01 is a true legend of turntables. DJ QBERT is a Tony Hawk of turntables. Pure Goat.
If this video was 24 hours long I would have watched it all. Dr Mix, you are an amazing musician, great entertainer, and an awesome person. Much love and respect.
FARK... I need to comment, Again.... 45:28 The respect and talent on display here is more than next level...... Im actually tearing up how AWESOME these moments are !
Man, watching Matt Whitaker play on that m8x just about brought tears to my eyes. He's nothing but joy. And WOW it's crazy how good he is. Also Matthew turning down Cory Henry's piano as Matt is trying to tinker with the DAW was hilarious.
Claudio is so knowledgeable about musicians, and that gets him super far. He's of course a talented musician himself, but to know so many other musicians is super important. It's really fun seeing him connect with all these people.
hey Doctor Mix, nice video comp, NAMM was a blast - sadly I didn't get to say hi to you directly, but I got to appear in your vid at the ARP booth at 07:44 🙂 it's an honor I was hanging out with Manny @Dr. Synth - nice to see you there I have a bunch of NAMM tour vids on my channel in the live section nice that you met Looyay the bass/MIDI controller guy - he's cool and clever at 08:10
That Mathew Whitaker is a music machine! You can see he has a built in clock with a pure gold swing and that groove is from deep space! Man I would swim from Sweden to America to be able to jam with that fella!
I will stay at home an enjoy you great Namm docu. Thank you for this moments. I will never can / will buy most of this great instruments, but you transport joy and feelings too the Community. Great.
I remember the first time I watched Doctor Mix's RUclips channel was about 3 or 4 years ago. The video was a Nexus Expansion walkthrough, as precisely as I can remember. Then I clicked the subscribe button. Since that time, I don't know why, I hadn't watched the channel anymore. I have just continued to watch videos on the channel for 1 or 2 months. And only a few weeks ago, when I was watching your Leave The Door Open remaking video, my whole heart was stolen. You make it to the top either with the accuracy, the musical notations on the papers, or your excitement. Your incredible energy inspire me so much. Especially it's still there through the years. I don't know how to describe it. But from now on, I'm a huge fan of Doctor Mix! Love from Vietnam
I wonder what my die hard fan boy mode would look like if I met, i.e. JMJ - God the Father himself in a human body, who would also accept a gift from me and flaunt it in public. Claudio, thanks for the best NAMM'24 coverage I've seen so far, and the Cory Henry segment made me like you even more.
This was a blast to watch! Love that expressive keyboard. Thank you for sharing the fun :) - Oh! And then the fun really begins! (with Cory and Matthew!)
@ 4:23.. What the .. I was listening with headphones, great! As usual, a very good video, I like electric music since the latest 1970's Thank you for this.
12:18 This is the first decent sounding demo of the Korg 3300. Every other demo has been underwhelming at best. Thank you for demonstrating this. I’ll have to start saving now.
Felt like I was there! Thank you for the NAMM tour! Saved me a plane ticket! The Osmose with the bendy music would make a great score for a bad stomach Pepto Bismo commercial!
I just listened to your record with Dave Weckl and Patitucci, it was excellent dude, top shelf fusion. Talk about having a bitchin' rhythm section, its a bona fide all star band.
It's always a pleasure and inspiration to watch these videos. To see the commoradary and the relationships you have built awesome. Keep up the great content!
This reminds me when i visited the "Frankfurter Musikmesse" in the 1980er years. There i could "test" the DX5 or had the chance to see a demo of the "PPG2 and Waveterm" (i still have the demo cassette ,-) ) Was fun , but far out of reach to get such a dream machine (even a DV7 or so). I guess the NAMM has now the status what the "Frankfurter Music Fair" hat 30 years ago ...
49:00 never heard of Matthew Whitaker, some amazing riffing before that Cory WowZeErz Henry meetup was extra exra special moment for me, two giants Dr MIX in the house, thank you thank you thank you
That C15 never fails to impress, amazing instrument.
True words!! 🙏
OMG Cory Henry!!! I completely can understand an adult man flips into a die hard fan boy mode.
and then cory rocks piano with huge beads on his hand
Who the fvck is Cory Henry..??!!
