Thanks Cap. Doing the training missions for the f5 today and didn’t get the dogfight modes until this vid.
Your [mumbling] wingman couldn't have sounded any less enthused to be there....which make it even MORE disappointing you didn't demonstrate the missile with a shoot down! 😎😂

Quite frankly though I am continually surprised by how bloody bored I sound every time I watch these videos back. I guess that's just why Cap took over a lot of the talking in recent videos.^^

I just got the F-5 and I freakin love it! I just spent the morning learning how to use my guns, AIM-9s, and GBU-12s, with your videos.
Nice as usual! I think to remember from previous videos that there is something about "depressing" the sight??? Am I way off?
Yeah you can do that, but afaik that would pretty much only be used for ground attack. It's to compensate for bomb/rocket/bullet drop if you fly your plane within specific parameters (certain dive angles and speeds, firing at a certain altitude). Since everything we covered in this video was A2A it didn't seem relevant, but if you're interested you do that by setting your gunsight to "Manual" and then twisting the "Depr" knob on the right.

There is uncage button in settings, but I'm not sure about cage button
Cap, just a FYI what you call the Sidewinder whine is called the "growl" by military pilots.

even in dg mode forward my missle wont lock on, whys that?

Excuse me, but wtf is this game? You can download it for free, get only one map, one plane and one chopper. And then you have to buy the rest seperately for ~60 bucks! Wtf, is this a scam? Having to buy every single plane for a price that full games have?!
VGames 1 - Two planes, no chopper, enough map for a lifetime, and planes go on sale about twice a year.
You do not even get a chopper, you get an old crappy unarmed propeller plane! So now that you know, get back to your War Thunder and leave us alone, crying over all the money we have lost to this scam just for a few hundreds or thousands of hours studying and flying our scam-y modules!
It's not really a game it's a simulation. Study sims you typically pay for just one aircraft at a time, same with maps. DCS is appropriately priced for the genre. Even better most times with their sales. P3D / FSX you can pay 20-30 bucks just for an airport... Survey sims are usually more like games, and come with a set of aircraft, War Thunder represents the most "gamey" version of this especially with the arcade modes, I would consider it a game and not a survey sim. IL2 is a survey sim. DCS has a survey sim, and it's called Flaming Cliffs 3 (Modern Air Combat being the new one coming out soon).
This is a sim, not a game. One plane may include more content and playtime than those other games which are sold about 60$ That one plane may even include content which can be used for a lifetime. So pricing is actually fair.
Yes, it is a sim, please excuse. I have to admit that I am not really into this genre, and have not seen such a "concept" like DCS world has. I doubt that it is a bad game, but to me it just looked unusual. No intent to offend the game, developers or the community here.
