I’ve really enjoyed all of her work. 🏴☠️🏴☠️The city of brass series is one of my favorite ya fantasy series. Lmk what you think if you do end up picking it up. I also am 50/50 on Ava Reid. I only read her first two books and had the same opinion as you. I didn’t try study in drowning because of the more negative reviews it just sounded like something I wouldn’t enjoy

I'll have to give Amina another go. I was ill when I started reading it and that probably influenced my dnf. ⛵️⚓️🏴☠️☠️ I also love Alice's channel. I get excited and say outloud to the tv I like her too! 😂

🏴☠️ I rewatched the first 4 pirates movies recently and just haven't gotten to the last one bc nothing will quite top the first 3 movies. movie 4 just didn't have to stakes or urgency of the first 3 movies while still generally enjoyable enough
I haven't read Amina Al-Sirafi but that book cover is so immediately recognizable
I would recommend giving it a read, it's a good time
I haven't been able to get to Amina Al-Sirafi yet. I didn't get nearly as much reading done this month as i thought i would. If i need to push it into September, i can still chat about it in the Discord then.
I've also been very interested in Miss Benson's Beetle. I hadn't really heard anyone talk about it so far, but i'd seen it at the library and was quite intrigued.
