I feel like someone should take a crack at doing another adaptation of Tai-Pan given Shogun’s success.

The show is phenomenal
I was really excited when I first heard their was going to be a new adaptation of the novel. I waited and waited, seemed like forever. This was worth the wait! All the actors are perfect in their roles. The only one I was worried about was Cosmo...but not any longer, he is a great Blackthorn/Anjin.

Why is the picture so dark, especially in the third episode, almost nothing is visible? If you increase the brightness of the monitor, noise/grain appears, as if it was shot on a very old camera, 720p quality

I think the word to mouth on Shogun has been pretty good. People are jumping on the train cause they hear so many good things about it. And deservedly so!
The shows is awesome and when it's said and done I think it will go down as one of the greates limited series of all time.
And I really hope these hollywood executives who normally think so one dimensional think twice the next time they come across scripts like this that have other cultures and different philosophies in it.
Japanese is phonetic, that means the pronunciation is completely uniform. Both "u" sounds in "sho-u-gu-n" are the same as the "u" sound in "sa-mu-ra-i." Any time you see a "u" in a Japanese word, that's always how it's pronounced.
This is quality TV and John does not have to pretend its good or he likes it, like many of those crappy MCU shows!

I worked on The Last Samurai and Shōgun, and I must say I feel a more satisfied and proud of the final product of Shōgun!

이거 사극형식이라 제작비도 많이 안들어. 그 일본에서 사극 드라마 찍던 장소, 건물, 전통 의상, 갑옷, 다있고, 사극은 전투도 칼과 화살 전투이런거라서 제작비도 별로 안들어. 전쟁씬은 좀 많이 들수 있는데, 쇼군보면 대부분 사극 대사치는것이 대부분이고, 제작비가 별로 안들어. 제작비에 비해서 흥행이 엄청 잘되니까 수익이 엄청 잘날듯, 사극은 촬영이 돈이 별로 안들어.
