Have barely been able to stop playing it, the ashtray maze is one my favorite gaming moments EVER. I had a huge smile ear to ear through that entire sequence. This game was phenomenal, I loved it.
My favourite part of this game was that you had to experience all the weirdness and it wasn’t just explained away as soon as you get confused or creeped out. It leaves you thinking about it more deeply and it hits that much more harder
Dude! I was just telling my best Bud that it reminded me of Prey! I said to him it was just third person and not in space but that darkness and alone feeling I had in Prey came back to me!
It’s really boring. I can’t find my self getting immersed at this game. When I’m playing this game I always think about other game I should be playing rather than this boring game.
Surprised that so few have seen the link between Control and Twin Peaks. Maybe it's because most gamers are too young to have seen the show. The red phone is actually used in Mulholland Drive, another David Lynch project, with a conversation between protagonist and a "mystery man". The other dimensions and the color red is used frequently in Twin Peaks, specially in the red room. The side mission with the mirror is the clearest referance to Twin Peaks, with Jesse speaking in reverse, and battle with Essej, which is more or less agent Cooper vs Bob

I've never played anything by Remedy, but Control's had me intrigued for a long time. The environment, story, and sense-defying supernatural trickery look like they're perfectly balanced to suit my tastes.
This game made me have strange dreams about someone surgically replacing their eyes with multiple interconnected eye nodes from a spider. It was extremely realistic. I remember there being about 100 reflections in their sockets and a central conduit for the nervous system that bound them all to a human nerve to the brain. It felt like 100 hours watching them stitch them together in their own eye sockets. Seriously messed up. Worst of all, they were just smiling. Their mouth looked just like Dylan's.
@@boomboom1139 I think the combination of the games audio and visuals caused a strange sleep-trance. It felt like one of those dreams that makes no sense when you're a baby, because you aren't old enough to understand to place objects together.
