Another great video.
I transitioned out after desert storm and while waiting to start college flipped burgers at a Wendy’s. The people there kind of geeked out that I had the “my squad, my people “ mentality. It took me some time to adapt to the civilian mentality. Back in the day there was no real transition assistance. Lots of guys I served with struggled to adapt.
I think deep down inside, that "my squad" mentality may never leave. Its something we've been accustomed to for so long.
