so this one worked for me, but I had to do it multiple times!! if it doesn't work the first time, i suggest doing what he says in this video just over and over again. took me maybe 5-6 tries in a row before I got the charging light!!

I tried all of these and even different cables. I found the origional cable that says BOES on it and BAM started charging right away. can't believe they made it specific for a cable to charge it if it's not a proprietary plugin.
Same with me, updated the firmware, did the press the button 15 seconds on three different buttons and never charged until i saw this comment... good thing i still had the original and is the only cable it will accept.
Curious how the engineers and administration at Bose almost certainly would have to run into this problem ...and then, either fix it or...let the customer try to figure it out for themselves. Obviously, they didn't want to fix it. My guess is that many folks went back to the store and ran into staff that knew even LESS about the problem than we did ....and just got their money back. Or, switched to another brand altogether. I suspect some frustrated folks just trashed the stupid thing and never bothered with Bose again. While I did manage to finally fix mine and use it, .I made a personal decision to NEVER purchase a Bose product again. Let THEM figure it out why customers aren't buying their systems!
Hello, I just received my bose yesterday, had it plugged in all night, I get to work and it keeps saying battery low, I can't seem to charge it. I can I get it to charge?
I followed what I think I understand which is - 1. Unplug the power. 2. Hit the 3rd button (in between Bluetooth and volume down) for 15 secs 3. Plug it back in and hit the power button. 4. Unplug and plug it back. But power button flashes orange twice and then nothing, please let me know what I can do or if I am going anything wrong

Piece of junk, breaks quickly, allows you to resend it, getting another, stops working in less than a month, customer service runs you around with updates that do not work until you give up, can barely speak english at service center on second contact. Sent it back to Mass office where even though they received per tracking must have just tossed it in the trash- No customer service POS Product. Great sound but over $100 for 2 months of frustration!!!! Never buying Bose ever.

I tried using a thicker cord and it charged. Before it would charge on anyone, but who knows. Maybe this will help someone.
