Thanks for your video, helped me to understand how to remove the ground plate without damage. Working for a repair café let me give you one advice though - whenever you have a water damage to any electronic device, you need to ensure to completely remove the water and not just dry it. Otherwise, the salt dissolved in the water can easily cause corrosion or short circuits once the water dried. So better remove the PCB and then bath it in 99.9% isopropanol (ensuring it also goes underneath any SMD parts). The alcohol will normally not damage any of the electronic devices, however you need to be careful with speakers or other parts that can be sensitive to a solvent. In that case, use a thick brush and brush the alcohol carefully on all areas that got wet. Isopropanol is extremely hydrophilic, so the water with its salts will quickly dissolve in it. After this procedure let it dry at the air (don't use a blow-drier - the heat might ignite the alcohol) and in 99% of cases the device will work properly again.
