I've a new theory! Kind of. It doesn't account for the no charge issue, probably, but as I was editing the video, I noticed that the ribbon connector to the IO panel was cracked before I had even started working on it. When I reinsert the cable though, it does snap in fine, so I'm still on the fence for this one, but I think I'm going to try finding and ordering the part and installing it. That'll be in another video

I have two of those not working. Same situation with connecting to PC. I think battery is locked somehow. You can't use power supply directly because there's data pins for reason. Some communication from battery pcb to speaker pcb. They want us to buy "original" battery, not to replace 18650 from old laptop :) Still not sure new battery will help and didn't try. To expensive. There must be voltage on battery output (end of wires to speaker pcb). I fix bose revolve battery pcb, but there was not working mosfet. This battery pcb have part covered with some epoxy i think. Hope you be able to fix it and share with us. Good luck

@@chegevarra5116 thanks! Might not be worth it, but I might try it anyways

I kind of know what the issue is, though it has been sitting on the shelf for quite a while now. I think it might also just need a new battery, but they're really expensive for some reason, more than the speakers worth T-T

Yes, you can use direct voltage!!! You connect 3.7V (positive and negative), and the white and green each one you connect a resistor to negative or ground. These last cables are to enable shipmode, which is basically hibernating the speaker. Finally, you connect the micro USB

@@antonio_stradivari are you saying doing that will fix the won't turn on issue?? I can give it a go. What resistor value should I use?

Yeah! It worked for me because a battery mosfet was damaged, so I tried to do that. In the case of this model, there are problems with the USB port, due to the soldering.

The resistors I used were 10K

@@antonio_stradivari I'll make sure to give that a go. Sounds like a really may need to just replace the whole battery with its charge controller in the end though, if it's a blown mosfet
