If Nintendo wants to fight illegal emulation they need to make their products right, you should have the option to map anything however you like, you know, like in an emulator
Yeah, this is just confirmation that I only need to pirate the games instead. Which I will now continue to do. Speaking of which, been awhile since I played Sega Rally...
@@KDthunder2009 I don't have the nso expansion pack, but every video I have seen so far makes it seem like emulation is the same or better than the official alternative, and it's free, you may say that $50 a year is not a lot but for most people it is, so with the alternative being free and working just as good as the official thing, it's a no brainer
Getting the ALL the consoles shouldn't be part of the online package. Should be able to mix and match tiers. Like if I dont play online but wanna play old games, have a tier just for that. Something like: Online Pack $10/y Old Consoles Pack $15/y (with actual serious amount of games and consoles.. not in its current state) DLC Pack $15/y So it could cost you between 10 and 45 bucks a year depending what pack you add to your online.
the Sin and Punishment right stick mapping actually kinda makes sense given how the game controls, in the original, you used the dpad to move and the control stick to aim, which wouldn't really work otherwise on Switch. still ridiculous that they don't give you the option to remap the buttons
Not to mention that the analog sticks are actually WORSE than the original n64 sticks, it uses a regular potentiometer instead of optical sensors, so in a few years it will have a wobbly stick with drift on top of that!
The original N64 sticks would get loose and wobbly after a few years as well. Do pots speed that up? I thought it was because of the plastic rubbing against plastic. edit:oh i get what you mean, wobbly stick PLUS drift from pots.
Geez…and the one reason Nintendo could have had to push a $50 annual price tag. It was already a bad sales pitch, but there’s not even a silver lining to be had on offer if this is just joycon drift 2.0. Might as well just get some usb alternative to play on emulation or something.
VK, thanks again for the paper Joy-Con fix. My joycons that were unusable after trying every other fix have now been working fine for months. You're the best!
I wouldn’t complain about drift and wobbly joysticks. Someone calling it drift 2.0. Like you guys are complaining as if this is already an issue. But it’s not. Just wait and see if it becomes an issue before you complain… like what 😂
They need to add the ability to remap buttons. It’s just silly that you can’t. I just use the right stick for C buttons though, that feels pretty natural while playing OoT.
System wide remap also doesn't cut it because then you have to remap YOUR ENTIRE SYSTEM for one application. Like, the Sega Classics Collection on Steam has the same amount of games and let's you remap everything on the application level. Like... This is a basic emulator feature.
I have argued with people over using Y/B as B/A when playing emulated games, and it's always a hassle. You're the first person I've seen mention that in a youtube video. B/A as B/A for older games feels uncomfortable.
Yea people forget about muscle memory in games. The n64 had different placements for those buttons so they feel unnatural on different hardware for those games
I just want to laughed to anyone that is suffering right now with their choice of buying this clickbait thing of N64 expansion pass (except RUclipsrs, I guess, since it's their job). Good job explaining this chaos, Wulff. In conclusion don't buy this subscription guys, just don't.
I am enjoying the service but I know it´s really bad, but I would say that's just because I have played with an N64 before... I've talked with some younger people who never played with an actual N64 EVER, and they say it's really cool, so IDK.
The RetroBit Tribute 64 Wireless 2.4g controller has different profiles of button mappings to choose from, and is fully remappable within the Switch since it is identified as a Pro Controller by the Switch...and it can be used on original N64 systems. This one is DEFINITELY the one to get for the NSO N64 games! I have it, I use it for this, and it works great!
They also make Genesis/Saturn controllers that work with the Switch and are fully remappable so you can get ABCXYZ correctly corresponding to the face buttons. The Genesis NSO games use the same mappings as the Genesis collection on Switch and I've used it there. Bit of a pain that you need to remap the whole thing though.
I mean he's doing a review on the service, so he kind of has to buy it. He even said that in a livestream that he's buying it for the channel to review, same with the Switch OLED
@@junglezone7323 every RUclipsr is saying that to justify their purchase. What is there to review? If you’ve played these games in their original format, you know what to expect. I have most of these games on the digital console of my Wii U and I’m laughing at all of you and your first world problems.
@@VastDivide Ah, no. The GameCube controller was designed with familiarity with N64 before it. Look at the controller. Look at it. Sure, ITS WEIRD, but... the colors are designed that way for a reason. Nintendo probably thought of GameCube with Nintendo Switch in general. Sooo... if that's the case.... does that mean...? GameCube is coming at some point?
In addition to these, if you use the Gbros adapter for the Gamecube controller and have the rumble feature turned on, the controller will rumble non-stop as soon as you select any game. Other than this, I've always liked playing N64 games with a GameCube controller, if you have one of the "Pro" variants for Switch they'll likely work quite nicely, I believe it's just the adapter causing this issue.
I actually got an original N64 controller to work perfectly for the Expansion Pack Mario, Starfox, and Mario Kart! The setup is a little janky and you gotta have the right adapters for it but it works great.
@@BigMacOrange I use a Raphnet N64 to Gamecube adapter into an 8BitDo GBros. Wireless adapter. You then have to do a button remapping which might cause issues with games that use all parts of the N64 controller but if you don't need the dpad then it works perfectly fine.
@@MakeYourOwnFun Just tried this with the Raphnet N64 to Wiimote (Classic Controller) adapter, into the 8BitDo Gbros. Wireless adapter, but I can't get the Z button to map right no matter which button config I tried. Did you get Z to configure properly in your attempt? Thanks in advance!
Not sure if anyone mentioned this but the Retro-bit Tribute 64 wireless works. This controller shows up as a pro controller so after that go into the button mapping on the Switch and change b to x and x to b. After that you have to switch the controller to All Star mode for the c buttons to work. Load into the N64 online and have at it. The joystick is better built and tuned to mimic the N64 range. It’s not to sensitive that you can’t walk Mario and you can aim in GoldenEye. It’s a hair more sensitive than the actual N64 controller but works pretty well.
After playing yoshis story and star fox 64, the two c buttons mapped to Y and X make sense. Y allows you to better throw eggs, and Y and X speed or slow down the arwing easier than using the right stick.
That's great for those games but why not just do custom settings for each game? Sin and punishment got a unique layout to match its control style. Why not do the same for mario and zelda? It's just so weird that they don't offer proper button mapping within that app.
I bought an Admiral in anticipation of last night. As you said, the stupid thing needs a firmware update to even use on Switch and their site only showed a 404 error on the link as well 😣 Good thing I gave up and just started playing, what a headache
Try the Retro-bit Tribute 64 wireless! I bought it because it reviewed better than the Admiral, it comes with 2 dongles, has more configurations, and I’m loving it so far.
Contacted hyperkin about that issue they say if you wake it up with the d-pad instead of the start button it will take and remap to profile 4 an you won't need the software see if this fixes the problem

The longer the switch exists the more I feel its really meant for a japanese businessman, like its supposed to be bland and functional but only just. Not like how the previous nintendo consoles were with fun music, customizable backgrounds, even cool easter eggs occasionally. Theres no passion behind the switch compared to Nintendos previous gens. The switch is successful in spite of nintendo not becuase of them.
"I feel its really meant for a japanese businessman" ... never thought about it, but yes... it feels very like it. A very "vanilla" system with the minimal barebones features to play when you're bored of everything else... and just that.
In advance, I'm sorry.... Now, this is the reason I still will say to all good kids out there. If you still have a mod wii or a wii u and of course a PC this is still the best way to emulate almost all the old Nintendo games.
Yeah but, this is legit and endorsed by Nintendo, I don't feel bad for playing on the Switch Online games, I do feel bad every time I fire up my Dolphin Emulator so I can play the Simpson's Hit and Run and Mariokart Double Dash
@@coastaku1954 you know what feels really bad, is that some of this games were available on the wii e shop and the controls were map properly for the wii mote, wii clasic controller and even the game cube controller (heck I have Mario Kart 64 and the sound is not bugging out as this one is). All I have to say is you do an incredible job putting together advertisements. Usually I skip ads in RUclips but yours are so entertaining, I actually watch them!
UK viewer here. My N64 controller arrived yesterday. The c-buttons work like the right stick. You can't configure the buttons. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe feels great with it. You can make Smash Bros work, if you really need to (blocking with the little ZR button is a bit weird). Mario Odyssey feels really nice, but you can't use Cappy.
The longer I've played it, the more I understand the button layout. Tutorials tell you to push the left c button and if A/B were configured how it is on the N64 controller, you'd have to press the top most button on the controller. Which is just more difficult to subconsciously adjust to than C down being tied to the top button. None of that is to say there shouldn't be the option to customize the layout for a control set up as convoluted as the N64, just that it's starting to make sense why it's layout the way it is and I am getting used to it
I use the Rerro-Bit Tribute 64 2.4 GHz Wireless controller and it works great! Just use the macros to set it to All-Star mode, which also sets the C buttons as the right analog. You do have to remap the B button because the B button on the controller by default is mapped to X. So just reverse the mapping of the B and X button and you'll have the buttons laid out perfectly. The downside is.....you have to turn off rumble in the setting of the N64 app. Otherwise when you start a game, it vibrates nonstop.
6:52 The USB Wireless version of the Brawler64 changes the button mappings so Start inputs + while Top C and Right C input Right Stick Click and Left Stick Click respectively. I don't know if the Stick Clicks in N64 for Switch Online input the remaining C-buttons. P.S.: If Mega Man 64 gets added, Right Stick Click for opening the island or dungeon maps would be very convenient, and Clicking the Left Stick inward for lock-on zoom would be neat. Mega Man 64 utilized the 6-button layout of the N64 pad most effectively, so I'd be surprised if Nintendo didn't forget to map the rest of the C buttons to the stick clicks.
Original owner of Sin & Punishment from back in the day here. The reason Nintendo does that with the controls is because the D-Pad and C-Buttons are mirrored on the original N64 controller. That’s right: This is one of those rare games that supports your right hand on the control stick. In short: You can choose to aim with either left or right hand on the analog stick. Your other hand goes on either the right or left handle for movement and jumping.
Everytime someone slanders the n64 controller in front of me I take a critical hit. It truly hurts my soul I find the controller to be perfect for my hands in every way
Comfortable controller but the analog stick wasn’t very good and the left side of the controller was poorly executed. Still love the Z button and hand comfort
@@Frilleon i don't think it was the stick that was the problem, it was perhaps the controls games left us with haha I thought being able to swap between the d-pad or joystick was pretty easily integrated with most games since most you usually utilized it well
Here's the solution: buy a raphnet N64 to GCN adapter and buy 8bitdo's Gbros GCN wireless adapter and an authentic OEM (or Brawler 64) controller. The raphnet adapter has several control mappings you can set that was mainly for N64 VC but work excellently with the N64 games on NSO. For instance, in default mode, I couldn't play Sin & Punishment because Nintendo made both the left and right stick do the same thing and put the C-Left and C-Right buttons on X and Y. If I hold down "R" on my N64 controller as I plug it in to the raphnet adapter, the mapping changes so I can play S&P like I would on a real N64. I don't know what Nintendo was thinking, but that's the solution for your controller woes.
I use my retro-bit tribute 64 wireless just fine with Nintendo switch online expansion pack all you've got to do is turn on USB support and you've also got to swap the X button with B. And make sure you change grip order so that joypad is number 1. Also select the AllStar mode on the pad by holding start+right on dpad.
They mapped it this way because, the ocarina of time on 3ds and windwaker on switch remapped the buttons to this layout so if you're already used to it its not much of a change
im used to c being mapped to the right stick because i played oot and majoras mask on the gamecube with the collectors disc alot back in the day so it feels natural to me
Some certain USB adapters may help to allow for button remapping, like a Magic NS adapter. It has a female input for any wired controller, or a wireless one with a dongle.
I'm annoyed that the official N64 controllers are sold out. But I used the PowerA GameCube style controller, which felt pretty close. The C sick worked pretty well, even for Ocarina of Time.
Just letting you know this comment might be a lifesaver. I'm about to grab one of these and see. My friend is playing OoT for the first time and I don't want the shitty joycon plus garbage emulation mapping to hamper the experience.
For MarioKart 64. the L Button toggles the music during a race. So if someone was pressing whatever L is set to be on their controller, that could be why the music was cutting out
Been getting around at least some of the awkwardness by mapping quick use items like the slingshot or deku sticks to the C-Left and C-Down buttons and putting the Ocarina on C-Right so I don’t have to tap the right analog multiple times to use an item or hold it perfectly in place while aiming with the left analog. Other games I’m anticipating not so great of a solution 👎🏼. Wasn’t that upset about the price tag before upgrading, but the lack of polish on these ports is pretty ridiculous
YOU FOOLS, THE MUSIC WAS "CUTTING OUT" BECAUSE YOU WERE PUSHING THE "L" BUTTON... I'M DEAD 🤣🤣🤣 The "L" button switches the music in Mario Kart 64 from "LOUD" to "MEDIUM" to "OFF". That's just the way it is lmao. Call yourself a "Nintendo Guy" will ya? Lmao JK, but it is a confusing addition.
Well there is the fact that sound stutters when internet lag kicks in...I would rather have no music at all, but it is on theme with garbage tech from the nineties. Think of it like an old scratched up CD
that just makes me wonder how the fudge they were pressing the L button whilst playing mario kart? consdering your left hand would be on the middle prong with your thumb on the analogue stick and your index finger on the z trigger. weird.
I think I found the way to solve the mapping issue by using 8Bitdo's USB wireless adapter, that way you can remap all the buttons, the downside is that this will not work with the pro controller or the joycons, but will do with any other controller. Hope this helps!
I'm upset that OOT and MM are the N64 versions, they should have ported the 3DS versions over, fixing up a few of the issues those had, instead of emulating the N64 versions.
Honestly the controller situation is kinda goofy with emulators too. Like, you have full capability to remap everything (unless you're using an emulator that has weird limitations on how you can map buttons but I don't think that's common anymore) but if the original controller's layout doesn't really conform to modern controller layouts then you either end up wanting different button mappings for certain games (and then promptly forgetting those variant layouts) or you wanna have special controllers for those systems which immediately goes to pot once you start swapping controllers around. But like that's a thing that could be fixed in a retroarch update one day.
setting up the controllers on pc emulators is a pain too, what i do is use face buttons as C buttons, R1 as A, L1 as B, L2 as Z, R2 as R, the n64 L can go to select
I remember playing OOT on the GameCube and they mapped the c buttons to the c stick on the GameCube controller. Not sure what was so hard about them doing the same with the Switch pro controller. My thought is to annoy you into buying the N64 wireless controller.
the mayflash n64 adapter lets you remap the A and B button to presets that work with either 3d all stars or switch online. but have a weird quirk that the C stick up and down are inverted. Hope they update the firmware to change that, then it's be perfect. One controller I'd love to see tested is the short lived 8bitdo+retrobit N64 controller, I rarely see any youtuber use/test it On a side note, the 8bitdo M30 (genesis/saturn style controler) also has weird mapping of C and Z, in one firmware they are L and R (perfect for street fighter), on another they are R and ZR O_o so I keep them intentionally on lower firmware because of that
are you sure it's the controller that's inverted? the up and down c buttons on the actual N64 was in fact inverted, up was down, and down was up, so depending on what you mean by inverted, it actually may be correct to the original games and consoles
Had only played N64 handheld till like an hour ago when I tried Ocarina in tv with my SN 30 pro plus and it's Nonstop Rumble. For every single N64 game. Not Genesis and no regular switch games. But every 64 game the controller literally never stops rumbling
Although Nintendo doesn’t really listen to their fans, I hope they really fix the controller, latency and sound issues. For now I will not change my family membership until all issues are fixed and there are many (many) more great N64 games e.g. Diddy Kong Racing, DK 64, Banjo Tooie. Otherwise I just keep using my N64. Great channel BTW!
The latency is an absolute killer. I'd love to play these games on official hardware, but I'm gonna stick to emulation until they fix at least the bare minimum.
I Recommend the Retro-Bit Tribute 2.4 GHz Wireless N64 Controller (Basically resembles like the Hori N64 Pad) that includes the N64 receiver and a USB receiver that's compatible for PC/Switch! It works well when using the N64 Switch app.
The controller situation sucks. Like I bought a 6 button SEGA controller and the the C and Z didn’t work. I bought a Saturn controller that is a 6 button controller with shoulder buttons. That works fine
I emailed Hyperkin about the firmware issue. It's been taken down because the firmware downloader had a virus in it. They're trying to reupload it without it triggering the virus warning/removing it now. Hopefully comes up soon.
I've only ever played paper mario 64 on my wii using a gamecube controller and the controls there are nice. R is R, Z is on L because 64's L button seems to be rarely used, I'm not sure where L was mapped but it's probably on Z, and *the c stick controlled the c buttons.* It works totally fine, so I don't know why they would want to change it here for the switch
I think Bob experiencing the music cutting out in Mario Kart 64 was someone accidentally pressing the L button. I can't remember which button does it, but one of the buttons actually disables the music in game I'm pretty sure. It may not have been the emulation.
To comment on Mario 64 NSO vs All Stars. AS is a remaster made for the Switch. NSO is a N64 port on a virtual console. So the All Stars version is going to be way better as the NSO version is just emulating the game as it plays on the original hardware. Also I don't know what version the NSO one is but it likely is the original US release where BLJ etc works. Just a little note. So now there's two different versions on the switch. Probably.
When Bob 2 told Bob 1 that "he's happy for both of them" and asked "but why don't you have honey?" I fell out of my seat laughing! I mean he's not using it because it gets sticky duh!
Why not get a raphnet adapter when they’re back in stock? A n64 to gcn can work on the switch. The adapter itself has multiple button mappings programmed on it.
Players: man, it sure would be neat to be able to have full button mapping controls for everything playable on the Switch. Nintendo: You get three configurations. Players: Wait, what? Nintendo: Two configurations. Players: Nintendo: Two configurations, both terrible. Players: *starts sweating* Nintendo: One configuration and all text in Swahili.
Why didn't Nintendo release joycons with six face buttons? Or just have holding ZR toggle all four face buttons. You could make it so that if you hold down the N64 A or B equivalent before pressing ZR, the system treats that as a combo with whichever face buttons you hit, i.e. hold B on the joycon, hold ZR, release B, then tap A and release ZR. The Switch would register that as N64 A + C⇨

That you can't remap buttons on console games by 2021 is SO ridiculous.
Switch let's you remap ths buttons as a system feature (and xbox too), so that should work here
Oh he mentioned it in the video, if you were talking about setting the c buttons to anything without holding another button then we're out of luck...
First world problems.
You can rebind the controls through the switch's console settings. It's not too bad
@@vehtty Watch the video. 5:08
If Nintendo wants to fight illegal emulation they need to make their products right, you should have the option to map anything however you like, you know, like in an emulator
exactly
Yeah, this is just confirmation that I only need to pirate the games instead. Which I will now continue to do. Speaking of which, been awhile since I played Sega Rally...
I mean, i get it. But this shouldn't be as big of a deal as y'all make it out to be lol emulators suck. Emulators are never the right answer.
Emulation for the win, thanks Nintendo 😌
@@KDthunder2009 I don't have the nso expansion pack, but every video I have seen so far makes it seem like emulation is the same or better than the official alternative, and it's free, you may say that $50 a year is not a lot but for most people it is, so with the alternative being free and working just as good as the official thing, it's a no brainer
Getting the ALL the consoles shouldn't be part of the online package. Should be able to mix and match tiers. Like if I dont play online but wanna play old games, have a tier just for that.
Something like:
Online Pack $10/y
Old Consoles Pack $15/y (with actual serious amount of games and consoles.. not in its current state)
DLC Pack $15/y
So it could cost you between 10 and 45 bucks a year depending what pack you add to your online.
the Sin and Punishment right stick mapping actually kinda makes sense given how the game controls, in the original, you used the dpad to move and the control stick to aim, which wouldn't really work otherwise on Switch. still ridiculous that they don't give you the option to remap the buttons
The analog sticks on what?
I wouldn’t complain about drift and wobbly joysticks. Someone calling it drift 2.0. Like you guys are complaining as if this is already an issue. But it’s not. Just wait and see if it becomes an issue before you complain… like what 😂
So glad you made this video! Couldn’t get my 8bit Pro 2 to stop rumbling when trying to play ocarina of time last night.

They need to add the ability to remap buttons. It’s just silly that you can’t. I just use the right stick for C buttons though, that feels pretty natural while playing OoT.
You can in the system settings
There is a remap in the system settings already...
@@Ionic0 rigjt
The Y and B buttons on the SNES are internally similar to the B and A buttons on the NES.

i’m actually enjoying the service!
Agreed. I had a feeling this was going to happen.
Yes! 100%

AustinJohn talked about something similar. It’s fun to watch both your videos because between you two, you cover everything
The Y & X button are mapped that way because that's how they were mapped on the Gamecube releases of Ocarina of Time just so everyone knows.
Makes me wonder how well a GameCube controller will work. I'd prefer c buttons for games like OoT and Majora's Mask but the c stick should be fine.
The brief glimpse of the walrus from OddTaxi in the sponsor clip brings me immense joy, it's such a good anime yet so underrated 😤
I’ve also heard the input delay sucks on some of the games. It can be really noticeable if you’ve played the original versions of those games.
I actually got an original N64 controller to work perfectly for the Expansion Pack Mario, Starfox, and Mario Kart! The setup is a little janky and you gotta have the right adapters for it but it works great.
Like what adapters?
@@BigMacOrange I use a Raphnet N64 to Gamecube adapter into an 8BitDo GBros. Wireless adapter. You then have to do a button remapping which might cause issues with games that use all parts of the N64 controller but if you don't need the dpad then it works perfectly fine.

Bob's ads are the greatest. I always love them. Give him more sponsors! Funny guy
9:55 this isn't an emulation error. The music goes mute whenever there are 3 or 4 human players due to memory limitations on the original nintendo 64.
That outtake at the end of the ad really shows great onscreen chemistry. Also, Hentai Kamen!

The longer the switch exists the more I feel its really meant for a japanese businessman, like its supposed to be bland and functional but only just.

I've been using the GameCube Controller for the Switch which has the "C" analog stick that's been helping a lot.
This guy. Listen to him. He knows what's going on. I thought this would be obvious.
It truly hurts my soul I find the controller to be perfect for my hands in every way
Same here. The N64 controller was the best controller of it's generation! One of the best analogue sticks, too!
I like it too. I have the cool clear watermelon colored one
agreed, very underrated controller. was really comfortable to hold for hours too.
Comfortable controller but the analog stick wasn’t very good and the left side of the controller was poorly executed. Still love the Z button and hand comfort
@@Frilleon i don't think it was the stick that was the problem, it was perhaps the controls games left us with haha
I thought being able to swap between the d-pad or joystick was pretty easily integrated with most games since most you usually utilized it well
Here's the solution: buy a raphnet N64 to GCN adapter and buy 8bitdo's Gbros GCN wireless adapter and an authentic OEM (or Brawler 64) controller.
They mapped it this way because, the ocarina of time on 3ds and windwaker on switch remapped the buttons to this layout so if you're already used to it its not much of a change
im used to c being mapped to the right stick because i played oot and majoras mask on the gamecube with the collectors disc alot back in the day so it feels natural to me
Haha it’s good to hear that I’m. It the only one who maps their modern controllers like a Game Cube controller.
WinBack: Covert Operations is still my all time favorite N64 game.

I grew up with N64 and I love the controller. Especially on the AKI N64 Wrestling games like WCW/nWo Revenge and WWF No Mercy.
Bobs ads are about the only one I will watch completely through. He has amazing ads. More people need to do what he does.

I think I found the way to solve the mapping issue by using 8Bitdo's USB wireless adapter, that way you can remap all the buttons, the downside is that this will not work with the pro controller or the joycons, but will do with any other controller. Hope this helps!
Project 64 + Parsec = Love
Nintendo + Expansion Pack Online = Misery
One controller I'd love to see tested is the short lived 8bitdo+retrobit N64 controller, I rarely see any youtuber use/test it
On a side note, the 8bitdo M30 (genesis/saturn style controler) also has weird mapping of C and Z, in one firmware they are L and R (perfect for street fighter), on another they are R and ZR O_o so I keep them intentionally on lower firmware because of that
are you sure it's the controller that's inverted? the up and down c buttons on the actual N64 was in fact inverted, up was down, and down was up, so depending on what you mean by inverted, it actually may be correct to the original games and consoles
@@mysteryboyee I'm not only sure it was inverted, it was a known issue an mayflash has since released a firmware update that fixes it
Had only played N64 handheld till like an hour ago when I tried Ocarina in tv with my SN 30 pro plus and it's Nonstop Rumble. For every single N64 game. Not Genesis and no regular switch games. But every 64 game the controller literally never stops rumbling
Still won't stop rumbling. Controller is up to date
It's nice that Wulffs brother helps him film the ads
Although Nintendo doesn’t really listen to their fans, I hope they really fix the controller, latency and sound issues. For now I will not change my family membership until all issues are fixed and there are many (many) more great N64 games e.g. Diddy Kong Racing, DK 64, Banjo Tooie. Otherwise I just keep using my N64. Great channel BTW!
The latency is an absolute killer. I'd love to play these games on official hardware, but I'm gonna stick to emulation until they fix at least the bare minimum.
The Mario OOF censor had me rolling lmao good shit Bob
I Recommend the Retro-Bit Tribute 2.4 GHz Wireless N64 Controller (Basically resembles like the Hori N64 Pad) that includes the N64 receiver and a USB receiver that's compatible for PC/Switch! It works well when using the N64 Switch app.
The controller situation sucks. Like I bought a 6 button SEGA controller and the the C and Z didn’t work. I bought a Saturn controller that is a 6 button controller with shoulder buttons. That works fine
Using the Analog Stick for C works fine. Just like a Gamecube Controller. Playing OoT on there is no Problem at all.
I emailed Hyperkin about the firmware issue. It's been taken down because the firmware downloader had a virus in it. They're trying to reupload it without it triggering the virus warning/removing it now. Hopefully comes up soon.

Cuz dollar dollar bills yall. $50 to boot!
That nothing nothing nothing ad part had me in tears

Probably.
