I guess I’m not the only one who still has one or more screen protectors that came together in the package when buying them for an older Switch. They’re brand new, so I guess they could be used to protect…most of the new larger screen. I found out the hard way that it was necessary after the dock left a mark on the screen in the first 5 minutes of opening it after launch. XD
This channel has convinced me that filming b-roll is an art form that only Bob has mastered
For anyone who has trouble opening the Game Cart slot on the Switch (Short nails, Nail biting, Etc.), try using a plastic guitar pick. If you have a case that stores Switch games you can store it there, if you find one that's slim enough you could even try keeping it underneath the kickstand. Hope this trick helps!

I personally would prefer to use a tiny flathead, or to cut the head off of a small spoon and just carry that with me. My nails are shitty but they work well enough though, so I doubt I'd need to lol
My issue, I have long nails and I struggle to get the game card out without breaking a nail 😅
I've been having to use my pencil to open mine. I've been biting my nails for as long as I can remember, so I was kinda disappointed how I couldn't open the game slot

When seeking out my OLED Switch, I specifically went for the white model, so clean! I absolutely love my new OLED Switch. Coming from my only experience with the Switch being my Lite, it's a very nice upgrade! I'm a relatively new Switch user so I watch your channel for all the deets on the Switch. I haven't seen anyone mention that skins wouldn't work either. Obviously the screen is now bigger so you'd have to wait for people to make your favorites in the Oled size
When people were asking the question about old screen protectors working, they are not stupid as sometimes you get 2 screen protectors when you buy a pack. I have a spare switch screen protector

Already pre-ordered the Satisfye bundle. Couldn't live without the grip on my old Switch.
I bought a dongle with HDMI out and a PD port for my old switch to play on any tv. And it worked fine. But with the OLED model it only outputs in 480p, except on my modern 4k monitor. So they definitly changed something and I wouldnt count on every third party dongle or docking station to work with the new switch.
Bob had some nice nails when he was putting on the dbrand screen protector!
I want to see a black Satisfye grip with the white Wulff Den logo that has the SNES face buttons in the background. That would fit well with the white joy-cons.
The Flip Grip works but the catch/nub doesn't recess anywhere on the OLED which could cause rubbing marks if careless using. Apart from that it actually fits better!
For the record, I don't use Satisfye grips anymore but I would FOR SURE buy a wulff den one

Probably the reason people ask about using the old type screen protector on the oled is because they always come in packs of multiple screen protectors so the probably have a spare or two in a drawer somewhere and need to know if they need to order an oled type specific screen protector.

I ended up getting the Skull & Co grip and case instead since Satisfye isn't shipping the grip and case bundle until December. I'd consider getting one though if they did a Wulff Den limited edition

I was lucky... they send me NeoGrip last week and it's great. Better than my old Satisfye ZenGrip (and new version too, I have both). Satisfye is too heavy and wide. Changeable grips for Skull & Co are not just a gimmick as I thought before.
Zengrip pro is lifechanging
I went with the skull n co too and it came in a couple days after I got the new switch. I actually like it more than my winter edition zengrip. With the swappable grips it feels (and looks) great. I just wish the case was at the same level as the large satisfy case.
@@russjohnsonii4654 I actually was planning to go with the smaller case this time around. I had the big case and Satisfye grip for my lite and ended up deciding it was just a bit too big and my charger would have to go outside of it anyway. I plan on sticking a small game case in the zipper pocket of the skull n co and that's about it.
First mention of the satisfye grip have the right handle offset to make the stick more comfortable to use.
Because when we bough the screen protectors for the old switch, there's always 3-4 in the box, and we usually only use one.

I have two for my V1 Switch and new NeoGrip from Skull & Co is better. Weights less and is not (too)wide like ZenGrip.
I was interested in the satisfye until I realized that the only issue I'm now trying to fix (since the kickstand is now actually functional) is having extra grip on the joy cons. I found a company that makes a protective case where the joy cons are still removable AND have grips on the back so I will likely try tha first. Might still get the white satisfye grip for when I'm traveling, though I may just start bringing my pro controller.

The skull & co jumpgate dock has a weird quirk that the type c connector it spaced for a switch with a case. The older version had a foam spacer you needed to apply for a caseless switch and the revised ones can regulate the height of the connector for use with or without a case. I'm a big fan of their dock, used to carry it to friend gatherings pre-covid and is still my secondary dock at home

Can you use it with the OLED model, if yes, how many usb ports does it have on yours
I'm like trying to get one, but There are like options of just one port for a lot less, but There also another with 3 that is supposedly for the OLED
@@tydshiin5783 my core (the actual hub that is removable) is the first or second revision, with 2 USB A ports, a type C for charging and HDMI. I have the first and second dock shell and I believe they are both compatible with the OLED, just maybe not with a case depending of the thickness. I haven't checked out the newer core releases with different USB configs

5:20 The screen protector question is actually logical--I've never seen a set of protectors for Switch that came with just one, they're always in a set. So I imagine a lot of people only had to use one, and then just had extras sitting around. People are asking, essentially, "can I use one of the protectors I already have or will I have to shell out ten to twenty bucks for different ones?"
amazon has them for 5.00 for a pack of four and they work great so far .
I have been using kiwi home which is a direct copy of the genki travel dock and man it's amazing! Used it for the longest on my regular switch and currently using it on my OLED as well.

Some of the third party docks, do not work with the OLED Switch. When connected to the dock, the Switch gets forced into 4:3 aspect ratio, and downs the resolution to 480p.
The Skull & Co. Jumpgate, and the YOK Travel dock are both affected by this.
"Why would you ever want to unstick and old screen-protector" - Bob, dude...it's because most screen protectors you buy on Amazon come with 2 or 3 in the box. People are dumb, generally, but I don't think that the majority of people spending $350 on a new OLED are too cheap to find new screen protectors. LOL
Yeah and the different size doesn't really matter cause most of the protectors didn't just cover the screen, they covered the whole area including bezel which is still the same size. They definitely will fit, use your old ones up first and then you can buy OLED ones down the line.
I have the HyperX ChargePlay Clutch Nintendo Switch charging case. It has two side pieces that detatch from the main battery pack that then form a controller grip. They attach via magnets, so I wonder if the difference in size is enough to keep the sides from attaching.

I had bought a docking station for my OG switch (one of those hwrre u put the dock in and all the games) and the OLED one didnt fit. It was too long, so i cut some stuff off and now it fits kinda

I would recommend putting sound panels up on your walls. Amazing videos but the audio quality is quite bad. You definitely need some dampening, Otherwise the frequencies are very fatiguing on the ears. I think you make great content and this is just a gripe I've had for a while. :)
I got the old 2019 Switch instead of the OLED one... I know the new one is good, but I ended up buying one before its release, couldn't wait for the release date here on PH
Not me either, litterally got one of the 2019 models in May of this year. The only good news is the fact that I got so many switch games before the Oled was made. But there's always next time buddy... Lets just wait to see what happens after a year or two...

I have one of those joycons that has the d-pad in it and that thing is just slightly larger so I'm guessing that it'll fit in the zengrip pro also that would make it a good way to test if your accessory won't work on the OLED.

I got a question, So I bought an oled off Nintendo’s website and I’ll be giving my animal crossing switch to my brother when I set up the oled. Once I make the oled the primary console, will my brother still be able to play the games on the ax switch since I own all the games on my account? Ik if it’s not a primary console it will need to connect to the internet and see if you can play that game. I’m assuming I’ll need to keep the old switch as the primary but it doesn’t hurt to ask
