    I'm also going with 12 port Bosch injectors.
    Maybe you should add some performance parts.
    Currently installing a Mellon Cam, (new lifters and rockers), Bank's tuned header exhaust, passenger side snorkel and 2" lift. Nothing crazy as I'm staying with 31"s and will rarely ever be in the mud.
    Obviously the snorkel is more for looks, but wanted to make sure my 4.0 is breathing cooler air.
    We will see shortly how this all comes together.
    Enjoyed your vid.
    If you sell your jeep, you'll probably soon regret it. Most do.

    Hey! I just bought a 2000 6.0L XJ with 190k miles on it and basically everything is stock. I've gone ahead and replaced the harmonic balancer as well as the drive belt. I am also completely brand new to working on cars and was wondering what you think would be the knee jerk reaction items to look into replacing in terms of their priority. I eventually want to build my jeep up to be tricked out as we all do but I want to make sure I don't put the cart before the horse and bypass any fundamental upgrades and or repairs that oughta be taken care of first. What are your thoughts and do you have any advice?

    • @ericburdette9559
      @ericburdette9559  3 года назад

      Congrats man that’s awesome! Yes that is a fantastic idea, if I was you I would make sure your Jeep is as solid as possible before starting to add aftermarket modifications. If it was me I would start by replacing worn out front end parts (ball joints, wheels bearings, u-joints, etc.) and then move to engine related stuff and make sure everything is running smoothly. Things like leaky gaskets, water pump, thermostat, radiator hoses, spark plugs and all your fluids. I wouldn’t worry about replacing suspension until you get a lift kit! I hope this helps, feel free to message me if you have any questions 👍🏻

      A good start after any bad sensors or grounds or anything would be the Big 7 cable kit from JeepCables, 12 port fuel injectors from Ksuspension, LED interior lights from OneWayLighting, Powerstop zinc coated rotors and brake calipers(if you're like me and don't plan on replacing your drum brakes). 2000xj has disc brakes in front and drum brakes in rear fyi. A DB Electric 160amp alternator is nice if you plan on getting a winch and accessories eventually. Also from Ksuspension. Hope this helps, i Understand what its like getting into it because i was in the same boat with my '99 xj 2 years ago.

      @@ericburdette9559 how did you eliminate the unibody flex? I've been trying to figure out a way to remove my doors without the body flexing and ruining the way the doors sit.

    I see you have a plate on your hood to block water from getting on your TPS I assume? I have the same hood vents and everytime it rains hard or I would wash it I was losing my TPS. It doesn't matter how much dielectric grease I put on either. I had the same idea for the sheet metal under the hood but when I went to do it my bolts were sized and then stripped :/ SO, is that what the plate is for and if so has it helped you? Thanks man, beautiful XJ.

    • @ericburdette9559
      @ericburdette9559  3 года назад +1

      Yep that’s exactly it! I had the same issue I went through 5-6 sensors and then I made the plate a few months ago and haven’t had any issue since.

    Do you have Np321 or np242 transfer case? And did you have to change anything to it after you lifted it

    • @ericburdette9559
      @ericburdette9559  2 года назад

      I believe it's just the NP321, and no I've been running on the stock transfer case this whole time no issues. The vibrations are a little loud on the interstate but nothing major!
