Mannn makes me extremly happy with my k24a with 6262 precision turbo in my 97 dx hatch. Saving up to get the ppg straight cut gear set and quaife lsd
In the racing world “stock block” means that the block has completely stock internals. Stock pistons, stock rods, stock crank shaft, stock sleeves. Basically you can grab a k24a with a rbb head for $700 change the oil pump slap a big turbo on it and make over 600hp. Most engines, “besides” the Mitsubishi 4g63t, Toyota 2jz, Chevy ls engines, mustang coyote engine, you have to remove the engine and install aftermarket pistons and rods to make 600hp. Rebuilding an engine with forged internals isn’t cheap that’s why the motors I listed are so sought after and considered the best “stock block” engines available for the price.

@felipesilvausa Normally K24 swaps use the RSX Type S Oil Pump. But he mentioned stock block so im assuming its the stock oil pump

Stock block! Meaning stock pistons, stock rods, and crankshaft. A k24a/k24a2 can make over 600whp on a stock engine and good tune
And stock intake manifold. Just turbo and fuel system

Corona Discharge agreed! I had a d16y5 Civic hx that got 40mpg and only weighed 2300lb .. but it was the car I drove to and from work to save money .. I wasn’t doing an uphill initial d style race with it. Your point was “stock civics” you can buy a STOCK 90s civic si (em1) with a b16 and that car doesn’t struggle going uphill. Or a ek9 or a k20 ep3 .. those are all stock civics that are plenty capable just saying.
