    I've watched a lot of your videos and have learned a great deal I wouldn't have known had I not watched. Just one example, single use bolts on a Transit can be really dangerous if reused in some places and you make a point to let everyone know when a bolt is in that category. You've probably saved a couple lives honestly. Great, informative video's. Hope you're making some money off them, you deserve it!

    Are you still working on the Transits? Your videos are always a great help and thorough. Please do more.

    You’re awesome man. I started a job close to 2 years ago running a shop all by myself fixing a fleet of transit vans. I was worried about not being able to do a lot of the work on transits because I had no experience with them. You’ve helped me learn so much. Now there’s nothing I can’t fix on a transit!
    Just curios if you have ever done injectors in the eco boost transit. It was one of my first jobs and it nearly broke me lol. All injectors were seized and I made a video on drilling them out. Would be cool if you could check it out!

    Do you have any videos on removing/replacing the alternator on a 3.7L transit? If not, do you have any tips/tricks you can share on doing so?

    • @medtec6747
      @medtec6747  2 месяца назад +1

      I do a front cover on a 3.7 and 3.5 and you have to remove the alternator to do that. specifically I don't have any special tips or tricks other than remove the headlight and give yourself more room.

    Thank you very much for this video. On the transmission cooler which ATF line is the inlet and outlet? Same question for the coolant lines? Cheers from Thailand.

    • @medtec6747
      @medtec6747  Год назад

      The hose on the thermostat housing going to the left side of the radiator is the outlet (hot coolant from the engine) and the opposite the inlet (cool water going back to the engine). On the transcooler I believe the top is the outlet (hot fluid from the trans) and the bottom is the inlet (cool fluid going back to the trans)

    Would there be a maintenance manual that I could get my hands on? Or is the cd I find on line for around $279 bucks the best option? 2018 eco boost.

      you can buy service data subs from motorcraft service or mitchell but I don't think there is a paper version out there at the moment

    How come you didn’t replace the timing chain while you were in there? Seems like a ton of work not to swap out the timing chain with all those miles on the truck.

    • @medtec6747
      @medtec6747  Год назад

      If you run a good oil and change it frequently you really don't have to worry about timing chains on these especially on the NA engines. I've heard about tons of trouble with chain stretch on these and I haven't had one with a chain stretch code yet. I inspected the guides and they looked great and they will go another 170k

    Was the timing chain and tensioners original was there much where on the tensioners

      Original timing running gear and it all looked great. I chalk that up to we run a good synthetic oil and don't miss our service intervals
