I have a Chrysler 200 2.4L 4 CYL. Had no issues with my car until one day while idling the upper radiator hose collapsed. Put the new hose on, got it burped, but had some over heating issues after I took it there. Not sure if they used the wrong coolant, but I replaced my thermostat housing and did a flush, then filled with the owners manual coolant. It’s no longer over heating as of 2 15 minute drives, but I notice the temp gauge is still fluctuating when i’m at high speeds vs low speeds. I made sure to burp twice now, so it can’t be air in the system is my guess. I already bought a water pump replacement, and figured if it’s the head gasket I may as well save myself the hour of labor.
Mine made a strange noises and my enjoin began to vibrate and I got it off the road fast and killed it. A belt hangs below and water or coolant was all over the ground.
weird...mine goes pop pop sounds like I'm doing a pop n bang tune but then the steering wheel becomes so hard to turn😂 realize that the belt is hanging down the engine already
I just got my Kia Forte 2013 a complete coolant flush, transmission flush, new brakes, and now I have low oil pressure light on 🥺 guys at Valvoline checked it out and said my coolant fell low however the oil was fine and since then, my coolant hasn’t gone down. I usually will give some ideas to the mechanic - just to avoid being ripped off. I was thinking bad oil pump or worse case scenario the coolant is leaking into my engine
Did they put the correct type of oil in the engine? Unfortunately those 2.0 engines are prone to engine failure do to faulty crankshaft milling. I have videos on my channel all about that and how to get a free engine. May want to check that out too. Hopefully yours is not that problem but just to be sure.
My coolant overflows and the heating stopped working. Mechanic changed the thermostat, the heating started working and after 2 weeks, the heating stopped, coolant continously overflows and car over heats after 15mins drive. I am getting frustrated now because its winter. Would this problem be the water pump?
Can be, but instead of throwing parts at it which can get expensive it should be diagnosed first. That said, water pump, radiator, air in the system or blown head gasket can be the problem.
What if my car does not overheat but after a while sometimes my coolant reservoir start having bubbles I’ve change thermostat radiator fan radiator would that still b the water pump? Nd my heat works
so i just bought a skoda octavia 2022 with 22.000 km's. Its making a sound and it seems the water pump, also the car heats a little bit on the hood but the temperature is below 90 degree. I didnt know it was the water pump because its a new car and accelerated a little bit do you think i cause damage to it?
My car keep overheating I have a 2010 fusion sport… antifreeze keep boiling and leaking but it takes a while of driving to overheat what do you think the problem is
@@Motorcarnut I just replaced the reservoir cap yesterday. Heat working fine I think it’s a hole in one the radiator hose I hear sizzling when it’s hot
I have humming noise during the cold start in otherwords when I turn on my engine in the morning but after about 20 minutes of driving it disappears, my mechanic said that the bearing is worn but the pump will still work Can I give a grease nipple to arrest the noise
I have a 2009 bmw 528i and my car acts like it don't want to go like it don't get no gas when it gets hot could that be a water pump problem or my coolant tank
The reservoir tank is overflowing but not overheating. I changed radiator cap and thermostat ready but it still overflow. Please tell me about this problem 🙏🙏
My car is not overheating kinda. But it goes over 90C and stops at 117C such a weird issue 😂 and if i want to cool the engine, i stop and turn the heat all the way down but then it even goes to 70C 😂😂 what the hack ?? Help please 😂
Hye, my radiator is keep on discharging coolant into spare tank. Even many parts has changed (new radiator, new thermostat, new radiator hose, new radiator cap) but the radiator still discharging coolant into spare tank. One of my mechanic suggest me to change the water pump. May i get your advice?
Coolant leaking
Leaking water pump
Overheating
Bearing failure
Correct
Noisy
@petersonraymondfonte1444 Yep
This dude has the coolest accent...what part of NY are you from?

It may have blown the head gasket from what you are saying.
@@Motorcarnut The shop replaced my valve covers + gaskets, do you think they misdiagnosed the leak possibly?
@Zach-lz1zh very well could have.
Mine made a strange noises and my enjoin began to vibrate and I got it off the road fast and killed it. A belt hangs below and water or coolant was all over the ground.
The temperature gage was up not in the red but I got it to a safe place called the Tow truck and he came in 20
Minutes 😊
Hopefully all is good now? You caught it in time?

Some bubbles are the normal process of the vehicles coolant system but not excessive.
Foamy bubbles?
Gasket lol
Burp it?
@@luxeiry1049NO BURPING on the car. :)
What if it stays on the AC until I start driving around for 5 minutes than it stays in the middle the rest of the way and back?
I don’t know what you mean, this vid is about the water pump not ac

to the motor i mean
It’s under warranty, correct? Just go to the dealer, working on it yourself may void warranty
yes it is already scheduled thanks@@Motorcarnut
should you replace the pump or just the bearing
The whole pump

Could be a faulty thermostat and or radiator cap. Start with the cheap things first.

I don't think so, it's getting ready to fail and should be replaced.

@edmundomiranda6773 no
Question if my gauge is high and the car is off what could be the issue
Short in instrument cluster or gauge itself.
I change the coolant every fall
I know, sounds like you maintained the vehicle.
You're better than me.
The reservoir tank is overflowing but not overheating. I changed radiator cap and thermostat ready but it still overflow. Please tell me about this problem 🙏🙏
Well can be a blown head gasket pushing the coolant out of the overflow
@@Motorcarnut but engine not overheating. No bubble but slightly shaking propeller

Are you overfilling the reservoir tank?

Could be as simple as a failing thermostat
If u have a gauge yes some don't mine dont
Yes, because they want your engine to fail.
@@Motorcarnut it seems that way I swore never to buy a car again without 1 foolish idea
Some have no oil or transmission dip sticks either, lol.

There were no leaks at all
The bearings often fail with no leakage.
What are the symptoms😂
