The main advantage of the army is finding good temporary friends, but the military's discipline and character building are skills you can acquire elsewhere in life. The military types are imposed. It's not the same.
If you're out for tactical training, then it is more efficiently gained through dedicated practice at a range with experts, not the regular army.
Regular infantry primarily handles patrolling, mine clearance, and guarding (when actually performing, otherwise they're waiting and cleaning), with actual combat roles filled by Rangers and Special Forces. The rarity of real Special Forces operations means their skills are often underutilized, but extra investment in regular infantry won't be needed this way.
Transitioning back to civilian life, you'll find limited practical skills putting you at a starting disadvantage. A more sensible approach is to complete college -take a break if you really have to - finish it and only then consider an officer's path if still interested.

You can try to be and officer, which is mostly paperwork and planning you’ll be a 2nd lieutenant. Officers get paid more, or you can go the Enlisted side and go in as a E-4 specialist.
Depending on what you want to do you got those options, you’ll be going to OCS though.
I am a Enlisted Grunt with 2 BA’s. There are quite a few people with BA and hire.
Idk about you but I have a love hate relationship with being a 11B. Shit sucks but fuck does it make me feel like a bad ass doing infantry shit, jumping out of planes and choppers, rucking, shooting and blowing shit up!!

As others have mentioned, going OCS will be way more paper and business. However, usually after the butter bar, you get choices including schools and other training. As an enlisted, you're mostly at the luck of the draw which can make your first years a potential let down. It can still happen with OCS, but you'll still get more opportunities. Find an MOS that peaks your interest and can sell itself to you.

Went to fort benning aug 24th and came back home yesterday. The whole time I was at 30th ag I felt miserable and depressed, I swear I never hated a place so much in my life, it sucked so bad. I didn’t even make it to basic training, because it only took me 2 weeks to realize that the army isn’t for me. I finally got chaptered out and now I’m home back to freedom, I’m glad I got out early. 11x btw (probably why it sucked so bad) and also almost every DS there were complete jerks, that place feels corrupt.

You do realize 30th was supposed to be like purgatory, correct? I was at Reception for 8 weeks, and all we did was eat, clean, get smoked, and sit through prep, all of us. Your MOS had nothing to do with the conditions of Reception, it's just boring as hell. If you could've made it to your actual Training Battalion it would've picked up and you would've realized 30th is nothing like the rest of it. Sure, most of the Sergeants are in a bad mood all the damn time because they probably didn't want to be there to begin with, Fort Benning is honestly just a shitty place to be stationed, but I highly doubt any of them had it out for you UNTIL you decided you wanted out, you never, ever should've quit in Reception, because that's the lowest of the low, you raised your right hand and swore in, yet you didn't even get to meet your actual DS's before you quit and accepted defeat.
Look, I understand the Army isn't for everyone, and I still have respect for you giving it a shot at all, in any capacity, since far too many able bodied men don't even do that much, but I have to say you made the greatest mistake of your life giving it up at 30th.

It's about control. That's the primary function of army policy and leadership. It hides behind a veil of "character building and discipline". Only down the road you'll being to see. But many remain gullible by the way.

All he has accomplished in this video is to explain how the Army has always been and that the Army is precisely reflective of the population it defends; diverse in personalities, ethnicities, religions, hobbies, habits, social political beliefs and attitudes.
Cleaning? WTF else do you expect to clean up after the mess you made? And he is not being factual in describing his MOS and how he never got to do his MOS. That may be true for him based on the unit he was assigned to. However, the Troop Medical Clinics and other Med facilities where soldiers go to when they are sick or hurt are staffed by the 68W MOS, XRAY, Lab tech, medical records specialists and other personnel in the medical field
If you begin bad habits or blindly listen to stup1d sh1t like "medics don't go to sickcall" something a NCO or Officer can literally not deny you from doing, that is on you for listening. That kind of dumbsh1t is NOT an order.
I was in for 20 years, active duty Field Artillery, never smoked or drank coffee and only drank while in Korea (back when it was still fun to be in Korea). The Army is exactly what you make it to be for yourself.

Ok so I don't even know where to start with your video since there are so many things wrong with it. And again I do promise I am not trying to be mean, just firm.
Like first off you're in the ARMY, I mean, what do you expect it to be sunshine and roses? I mean you do whatever they need. It is not hard. You need to scrub toilets, guess what, your scrubbing toilets. I mean anything in the Army is better than the 3 common civilian jobs... (I think anyways) which are:
    1.) Restaurant/Hospality
    2.)Retail
    3.) Office
You tend to scare off a LOT of people who want to join over Petty things as you say a lot "what they don't tell you is...". I mean, yes you may not do what you want when you sign on, yes you may not have time off as much as you would like, yes you may make friends you will never speak to again, you may be a "combat janitor", you may all get paid the same regardless of how hard you work (which is a good one, b/c trust me, they are watching you. And you may just be promoted based off your hard work), yes their may be favoritism, etc etc etc (I can't remember all that you complained about). But Honestly, you have this shit everywhere. I would rather go to work in the military, in a uniform, doing something, and being a part of something big, than dealing with bitchy customers in retail or restaurants. Or dealing with favoritism in the Army, than dealing with it in the office.
Again nothing to be mean "Bruh" but be a little open minded in your videos. Like "hey this was my experience, yours may be better, but be prepared it may be like this" kinda deal. Right now you're scaring young men from enlisting based on "Your" bad experience. And that is not right. That's all I am saying. Just be understanding just b/c it didn't work out for you, or you had a bad experience, doesn't mean the Whole Army Experience" is like that.
So summarize my comment, what you complained about was either everywhere in every day life, or common sense when joining the military. The military is not sunshine and roses, they keep you busy maintaining stuff and if that's what needs to be done, better than any office job where they can fire you at anytime.

"...and without further ado, let's get to it."
*really gets to it almost 2 minutes into the video, after an intro and asking for subscribers for the first of three or so times*
Thanks for the content, but I wish you'd keep things simpler, more concise, and to the point.

2 mins really ain’t that deep. It’s part of the process and promotion they have to do as YT’s. If you have watched many other YT’s some don’t get into their content until almost 10 mins into the video. If your argument was towards that, it would be understandable but he did a great job at keeping the intro short in my opinion
