Great to see these books again! I learned drawing in this style using these very books when I worked as an in-betweener years ago. Brings back memories. Thanks for sharing Stayf!

It seems everyone has good memories of this book including me! It was in my high school library and i would skip lessons and all kinds of stuff to go up to the library and read it and practice drawing :D

Great video! Thank you for sharing this. I'm working on an anthropomorphic character(s) and need this gestural help as my character's don't have a natural place for eyes, which is a must for children,,,thanks again.

So are they still worthy of buying to actually learn to draw with those books or is the technology is too old and outdated ?

These are the basics of learning to draw cartoon characters in 2D. It is still basic knowledge every artist should have, wether you are working in 2D or CGI.

Mighty Salamance Dragon power . For sure this manual is still one of the best, if not the best if you want to become an animator. You'll learn all the basis and some advanced stuff, and more, Preston Blair presents some plates with rough and clean up animations from his work at Disney ( Bambi, Fantasia ) and at Tex Avery ( Red Hot Riding Hood, Base Ball player and spectator from another short ) which gives you an idea about what a pro animation is. With this manual and Richard William's The Animator's Survival Kit you have all you need to be a real 2D animator.
