Have you ever wanted to animate a character walking but didn't know where to start? By the end of this tutorial, you will learn how to animate a full body character walking even if you've never tried it before!
You can also follow along in this tutorial with any animation software!
We will learn how to animate a walk cycle by breaking it down into easy to follow steps. We'll also learn how to animate without drawing a new drawing every single frame by using copy, paste, and transform. This is a FlipaClip tutorial for beginners, but you can follow along with this tutorial using Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Animate, Krita, pencil and paper... or any animation software you are comfortable with!

oh my gosh. thank you so much. I am 17 years old and graduated early from highschool. I am now enrolled in college and major in graphic design! I have been drawing since i can remember… always LOVED art. I eventually got into procreate and began making album cover for local rappers where i live making $100-$500 off my art (just for fun👀). I have always wanted to learn how to animate and this video really helped me learn. You earned a sub most definitely. Nice tutorial, I didn't suffer my previous mistake of not using blue and red to help me tell the legs apart when they overlap. I used to just sketch them in black and confuse myself a lot.

Learned the walk cycle on Toon Boom Harmony. But it looks like FlipAClip is the beginner of all animation programs to be the easiest to lean the cycle and any act with before you're used to it for any other.
