Panasonic EVA1 + Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 Brief Test 2K (LOW LIGHT)

- I did a short test of Panasonic EVA1 with my fav Sigma 18-35mm lens. No stabilizer no gimbal, no monopod. Hands only 🤲🏻. Good camera to use this way.
All the shots (Vlog and 120fps grades with lut) are filmed with iso 100-800 but at the low light I turned it up to 6000 so you can see some noise. I didn’t use the noise reduction so you can see the real image.
Panasonic EVA1 is a great camera for cinematographers but the problem I faced was a slow AF (may me it can be faster with one of my canon lenses).

Hi, I have the EVA 1 with this same Sigma Art 18-35 lens and the iris doesn't work, neither with another Sigma 10-20 DC. It stays open both in automatic and manual. On the other hand, the DG lenses work perfectly. I have the latest firmware. Did you have this problem? Thanks
Hi! I don't really remember, but Im pretty sure that iris worked for me. I decided not to continue with Eva1 and switched to BMPCC6k and then to c70)

Привет, наткнулся на твой видос в поисках ответов на 2 вопроса. 1) поддерживает ли Камера стабилизацию в объективе 2) почему слоумо пишется только в full hd dci, хотя написано 2,8k?
Николай Казанцев есть своя EIS стабилизирует вроде неплохо. В 18-35 нет своей стабилизации, а с 24-70 не пробовал. В 2к пишет слоумо без проблем)
SHMLV video имел ввиду слоумо типа 120fps, написано что пишет в 2,8k а по факту только full hd dci

Have you used it for paid gigs? I just bought one and am thinking of returning it and just keeping my BM pocket 4k... I've noticed it needs a lot of light or it will produce a noisy image, even outside...
This is a good camera for big gigs when you surrounded by lights and there is a big venue. But sometimes you work on small underground venues and it won't work without an additional light. But I've never turned my ISO even to 2000 on big shows so this camera is good enough. In this case I was shooting outside when it was cloudy and no sun at all.
But if you ask me what I would choose between EVA1 and BMCK Pocket 4K, I will choose Panasonic)
Any updates? I've been eyeballing this camera for a bit now. I feel like more people need to put what codec the video is rendered in as well.
Michael Cimpher Panasonic has released some updates for eva1 but I haven’t work with it since then. Next month I’m planning to try it for few filming days. Maybe I’ll do some new text stuff :)

a lot of noise
He's using it in HFR mode, so that cuts the available light by at least a half or more depending on the frame rate. The night shots look like they were shot in very high ISO, probably at the upper end of the dual ISO range.
Как тест стекла хорошо. Картинка с камеры в ночи плохенькая.
ну так рабочий диапазон ISO до 2500. Тут уже около 6400 или 8000. Ну без всяких обработок шума, нативная картинка как есть :)
Она ж стоит под пол мульта, вроде)
